These scammers have now called seven times. This time I was home to take the call. They ask for an unintelligible but vaguely Asian-sounding name; certainly no one I have ever heard of. The scam originates from India, but they give the company and address as "Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, 8900 Sree Bond Parkway, Irving, TX 75063". It sounds like the name of an Indian street in Texas; he spelled out the name of the street. I guess the scammers don't have enough imagination to come up with a realistic fake address in the U.S. He also claimed that his name was "Steve Jones". I'm sure that is a common Indian name as well. The caller also did not know what the DoNotCall list was, and didn't know anything about any of the state and federal laws relating to debt collections. He apparently had no idea that placing collection calls to random numbers is illegal in the U.S. But then, if I learned anything from my time in law enforcement, it is that criminals turn to crime because they are too stupid to get regular jobs.

This is not a scam from this number. It is Nissan Auto Acceptance looking for a payment that is past due. If you do not have a car financed through them it is possible that they have the wrong #. They are just doing their job and calling from an automated dialer. Have mercy people! If you do have a car financed through them they are just looking for payment on something you agreed to pay for. It is also possible you have someone that has listed you as a reference that owes them $. Why do you think they ask for references at the time of application. Be an adult, pick up the phone and make arrangements. The "do not call" list does not protect you from a debt collector. Only sales calls. If you owe someone $, they have the right to call you to collect.

"...they give the company and address as "Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, 8900 Sree Bond Parkway, Irving, TX 75063". "

I Google map searched and here is the real address for Nissan Financing. The street name is not even close to what the scammers are giving.

Google map address is Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation‎, 8900 Freeport Parkway, Irving, TX 75063-2438  (972) 929-7214

A Search for "Sree Bond" gets results for a detective agency in India (sreebond007.com).

A Search foe the meaning of "Sree" gives this Wikipedia result- used in the Indian subcontinent as polite form of address equivalent to the English "Mr."

Called about 8 times, I talked to them twice, 1st time they asked for one name, then the 2nd time they asked for a completely difference name. Other times I picked up and stayed silent and herd an Indian voice repeatedly saying hello..

They are definitely not from "Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation" as they claim. If you have a Nissan financed though "Nissan Finance" call them directly! Do Not give any information to these criminals!

They are scammers! I told them to stop calling and remove this number from their list.

They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers! They are scammers!

These folks are incredibly tricky. They called and hang up and I searched the number and found this page.. Keeping all the things I read I called and it is NISSAN auto number or debt collector number. The guy won't let me speak at all he want me to make a payment over the phone. I told him politely I will not make a payment over phone. Then he calmed down and told me about the wrong I did, I set up my recurring account online and it needed 5 days to verify. As the payment day passed they did not got the payment for another 10 days. I told them go ahead and take the payment next month. Here I understood the trick. They won't do that, they wanted me to make a payment over the phone. As I found I can make a payment online through billmatrix (Which will cost me $12 extra) I chose to do that than give the moron on the phone my credicard information. But I can tell ya.. this is some [***] up collection agency who got some ignorant and illiterate morons working for them.

800-777-6116 is a scam call.  These people are calling sequential numbers throughout our facility. Numbers that go directly to a patient room, to the emergency department, to the cafeteria, you name it they are calling it!  I have reported this number on the do not call list as a complaint.

Horrid Nissan farmed out 3rd party debt collector - I am 2 days late on my payment and they call me 20 times every 2 hours over the course of a wknd.  I pay my bill, they keep calling.  Bunch of foreigners who hardly speak English - I have always made my payments well within the realms of the due date, and never have I been stalked by a debt collector like this.  I love my Nissan - HATE their customer service. If I can find someone to call to complain to or to write to I will be doing that!

I completely forgot to pay my bill last month. Oops, my bad. As soon as I got the first call, I googled the number to see who it was. That's what led me to log on and check my account. Sure enough, I missed it. So I send it in on a Friday and scheduled to be there Monday. It is Sunday and I've received 6 calls!!! I HAVE 2 MORE PAYMENTS LEFT!!! The times I've let them talk, they say they need to update some records. I yelled at them "There is nothing you need to update! Please stop calling me!!!"

It's Nissan wanting your late payment. They have called me 12 times today. I told them I was laid off in April and asked if I could do a loan modification. They said that their company does no such thing. I told them I would make a payment as soon as I got funds and was hung up on.

    Business Phone
One of my company's cell phones receives 4-5 calls per day from an auto (war) dialer.  This is why it takes up to 7 seconds for a human to get on the line with you which is too much time in my business so I have only heard a human's voice once.  They failed to identify themselves and the purpose of the call only asking me how I was this morning... when I asked how I could help them they hung up.  Not much of a scam if this is all it takes to end the call, but still highly aggravating.  I would not mind if the people responsible were never heard from again.

Rec'd call last week. He was looking for a particular person, told him that this was now a business phone (out of my home) and obviously this phone number previously belonged to the person in question. I asked him to please remove the number from his list. He said he would do it right then. There have been several other calls which I did not answer. HOWEVER, today is Sunday - and the calls begin again!! The man was apparently middle eastern by his accent and inability to speak English well. I asked for his name in return...he said to give him a minute. After a few seconds I smarted off with "It shouldn't take a minute to say your name". He hung up. I called back - same person (same middle easterner who couldn't speak English) - he hung up again. I called back again and got a lady named Nancy. I explained the situation to her and she says she will remove the number. I will NEVER look to buy a NISSAN just because of this experience! I will call Nissan on Monday just to reiterate. It will probably not make any difference to them, but I'll do it anyway.

It's no "Scam."  The number is from Nissan collections, and if they call you, it means your payment is more than 5 days overdue.  And yes, they're calling from India.  If you have an issue with that, ask to speak with a supervisor.  Nissan Supervisors are in the good old US of A, so the supervisor can tell you your vehicle is going to be repo'd if you don't make a payment...without the Indian accent.

Nissan Finance.  The "barely speaks English" call center in Bangalore starts calling you, even if you're within your grace period.  Don't use Nissan Finance, use your local bank.  Idiots.

Not sure if this has been discussed....I called back the 800 number and pressed 0 after the first message prompt. Was able to speak with USA customer rep explained the situation (numerous call to my cell phone) and was able to have my number removed. Also verfied that my name is not attached to any loan/lease with Nissan. Further more Nissan rep was helpful and respectful unlike the 800 caller. Hope this is helpful information to others.
