called the number, got an agent after selecting option 4 and he agreed to remove my number from the collection file.  time will tell.  I have been getting calls looking for Keisha Hodges for years, she must be quite the con.

Called at 7:24 am left no message. I really hope they don't start harassing me.

I was getting calls from conns collections(they had wrong person)I made them stop, so they just sold my number to any scammer ect. that wanted it in retalliation these people are all scumbags. I never answer anything, it just identifies your # as a working # to then be sold!

This thread may be a better example of how the network of debt collectors under Department of Education prey on alleged debtors their relatives, and others. Many of these calls are associated with "marketing" of loans and loan modification.

I have blocked these numbers every time they call it's the same people. How many phones do they have.  Geez

I called this number back blocked of course, and it is a collection agency.  I told them I am recording the call also, and that I want my number removed immediately, and that any further call will result in a lawsuit for harassment, since the party they are looking for is not me. In the State of Ohio, if one party knows you are recording the call then its legal to do so. Furthermore, if you notify the other party then there are two people who know the call is being recorded.  This usually stops any further calls.
Make sure you are recording the call, just in case you need to file a lawsuit.

Got a phone call from this number and called it back and it said the same thing and asked about a payment... I am wondering the same thing.

So, the best things to do are to read the following, and make complaints at the provided links.  Also, any communication with these criminals should be by certified, return receipt US mail only:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Calls come in every day at early hours waking me up.Annoying [***] never say a thing when I answer.

Phone rang once and hung up. no voice mail left. I'm kind of FOB in here and using prepaid phone, no loan and no ATT account. So donno why they keep calling me.
