- BobReceived a recorded message from 1-800-900-1380 regarding an "important personal message". The person asked for by the recording does not exist. This is at least the sixth time I have received a call from this number - approximately every two weeks I get this call.

- wiz kid replies to frustrated| 8 repliesi really do not believe you did not order them //companies do not just pull names out of a hat and send out merchandise/ru sure that someone in your family-a child/ex spouse/gf or someone that does not like you orderd the merchandise/probably.so please do not boo hoo all night long when you are expected to pay for merch and and adhere to an agreement for services when you throw away merchandise/just one person's opinion
- wiz kid replies to Dee Dee| 2 repliesonly in america what has this world become. looking out for a fast buck and taking no responsibility for actions. the best thing to do in dealing w/ a debt collector is to get specific info and always provided good, specific documentation when disputing a bal owed/ but above all if there is just some outside chance that you do owe the money make payments as quickly as possible and payoff asap/ sitting idly by not making cont w/ the collector only makes things worse/ fact is the debt probable wasn't already handled in the best manner if you are already in collection. work w/ the debtor whether you owe it or not.not dealing w/ it only looks like your running from the debt
- Keep receiving calls from this numberI keep receiving calls from this number for someone else, maybe someone who owned this number before? They don't even have an option on their automated system to let them know that this is not their phone. What the hell should I do?

Told them that I had not ordered such nor do I owe it and obvioulsy they did not have my SS , could not garnish my wages etc. Plus the next time they called me I was calling local law enforcement agency and reprort them for harrassment.

- MaryI have recieved two phone calls from this company for a Christy today alone....I don't even know a Christy! No one named Christy has ever had this phone numbner. They don't give you an option to tell them you aren't Christy they just tell you to call back! I tried calling back but all I get is the busy signal. I looked up Penn Credit Corp online and found a general office number 18008003328. They said to call back within normal biz hours. I plan on calling back and talking with a supervisor of the collections department. I think I will tell them that if they continue to call me I will be considering it harrassment and filing charges with the states attorney of their state and mine! Apparantly they have been harrassing the wrong people for awhile now!
- THThis number has called several days in a row. I finally answered it yesterday. It was a recording saying it was Penn Credit and identified them as a debt collector. Said they had a message for X and to press 1 if you are this person, 2 if this person is home and can come to the phone, and 3 if this person is not home. I pressed 1 and it said that this person had a debt (of 20 some dollars) that is "long past due" and must be paid to their company immediately. "If you are not able to pay the debt entirely in the next five days it is imperative that you call this office." It then said to indicate how you intend to pay this debt, press 1 if you intend to mail payment, press 2 if you cannot make the payment in 5 days, press 3 if you wish to speak to someone now. We know for a fact that no one in our household owes any money to anyone (we have no credit/charge cards and all bills are paid). so I pressed 3 to talk to a representative and it said that all representatives were busy and could not take my call. The next day I talked to a family member who said that there was a story on the news about a scam going around that was very similar to the call I recieved. I figured something was up because it never said who the money was owed to and it seems strange that a company would hire a debt collector to collect $20. I couldn't find the story online but there is a recent story on the BBB website about debt collectors luring people into paying them money. http://minnesota.bbb.org/article/complaints-t ... -the-rise-20875
