WOW when I googled the number came up as Tracking for UPS. These people called my home 6 times today while I was out.  Called and it is Penn Credit Corporation stated that I owed money on a bill that was sent to an old office address of mine - 2007 I left this space..Cooking Club of America?  I verbally told her "this is now an attempt by me to resolve and formally dispute this debt you are mentioning, any and all information will be used for that purpose."  I also asked her for an account history from whomever is saying I have a past due obligation.

March 4, 2011, at 3:51 p.m. I receive a call from 1-800-900-1380.  I say "hello" three times and it hangs upo and I get a busy signal.  This happens repeatedly throughout the week. It is getting to the harrassment point as I am disabled and it hurts to have to get up and down to the phone.  I wish there was a way to get them from calling me.

They keep calling me every day, leaving automated messages because an answering machine can't "press 1." I finally picked up today and pressed 1, and it asked if I was "Rebecca "  -something. And no one in this house has either that first or last name. I pressed 3 to say that person wasn't here, and it gave me this number to call back with a reference number. I call and it keeps saying they'll transfer me to the next available caller, but it never does. It keeps saying, "a moment longer," and "thank you for having patience," then keeps saying that I should press 1 to keep holding.

I don't even believe that there's a real company anymore. I was on hold almost an hour hearing "very soon" that whole time. I believe there is no debt owed, it's just complete harassment. If they are looking for money, good luck doing that! She doesn't even LIVE HERE! And since I know the people who lived here before, she hasn't lived here for at least 15 years.

Dee Dee - I just wanted to thank you for the information on how I can stop these phone calls.  I'm unemployed and I guess they know this as my phone rings constantly ALL day and it didn't do that while I was working as one of my phones has caller ID and keeps the number until I delete it and there were NEVER any calls on my phone then. Thanks and believe you me, I will let them know that I WILL contact the FCRA  &  SAG and report them.  Thanks again!!!

For at least a month, we have been receiving calls from this number, asking for one of our sons, who has not lived with us for 30 years. He is responsible for his own bills - we are not.  My husband and I are both in our 80's and in poor health. These harassment calls are very agitating.

When I try to call them back to tell them not to call us again, all I ever get is a busy signal.

WANNA BET? replies to wiz kid
You are WRONG. Disney sent me one time a bunch of stupid figurines of Disney characters in a box that I have never ever ordered from before. I TOLD THEM I HAVE NO CHILDREN; NO GRANDCHILDREN & NEVER ORDERED THESE ITEMS. Then, I told them if they wanted them back they can pay all postage, handling fees from ME for my time packaging them back up and my tape usage or send someone out to personally pick them up. WHY would I order this trash? They couldn't verify my order of these items and chose to "allow me to keep them instead" at which point I threw them in the trash.

So don't tell me this sort of quirky stupid sales tactic doesn't happen. Yellow Pages online took it upon themselves 5 years ago to put our business on their listing and then had the audacity to send me a bill! I called them, argued with salesman, which said he had someone from our company on tape that subscribed. I said Really? Who is it? And I demanded to hear the tape. He then stuttered n stammered; then got his supervisor who then 'pretended' to be working on getting the tape............. tic tic tic moments later....... apologies couldn't find the 'mysterious' tape at which point I declared to the embecile that considering my husband & I were the ONLY two employees of our company..........................you, sir, are a very poor LIAR and if I receive ONE more call/memo/letter or WORD from you, I will contact the state Attorney General's office at which time you shall be sued, fined and possibly lose your license to operate in this state and I might add my state has the most 'aggressive' anti-business guy in the country serving this position.  ........ silence....................click............................haven't heard a peep since!!!

These businesses like credit companies all use other family members info to try to track you down. They will even try contacting an ex spouse, children, moms, dads, grandparents, neighbors or anyone else they think will give them the info they are looking for. They will use 'find anyone' companies and give any and all info they currently know or have on you. Even though you might have been divorced for decades........they still have your name also and probably think you might still know how to reach the ex or know the whereabouts of them.

These companies are like the IRS; if someone says you died; they'll hire someone to dig your grave up and do DNA to prove it. Not joking either.

I've told 2 companies that I haven't been able to work for 2 years due to progressive health problems still not under control and have since applied to disability and that I was NOT trying to get out of paying my debts but just have to wait until receive disability and actually have a pay check or disability check to make any payments. It's really hard with only hubby's paycheck with a pay cut to keep his job to pay everything. They still keep calling and harrassing. I told them what do you think you can get out of 'nothing?' I have sold everything I can sell to pay off some debts and still have 2 left. Those 2 will just have to wait. I have a hearing coming up on ss and no, I am not one of those deadbeats who won't work; I have worked since I was 13 years old and buying my own school clothes/stereo equip/and other personal items. I have paid into ss all my life. They just don't 'get it.' I finally told them, you'll have to wait until I hear from ss or sue me. If you sue me, you will get nothing. There's nothing left to get. THIS is harrassment. They can check with drs and the ss to see I am NOT lying about any of this, so why do they continue? ONE day THEY themselves will see hardship and they will get theirs.

Have received numerous calls; usually a hang-up but they left a message one time.
I called the number and gave my phone number. They asked if I had received a letter at.....
and listed an address that was not mine. I said I did not live there. He asked if the last 4 numbers
of my SS# were.... and I said no. "Mr. Ford" said that my name was fairly common and they
had the wrong person. I asked him to remove my name and number but I continue to receive
calls every other day. It is very frustrating and if you call 1-800-900-1380 the phone just
    rings and rings.
