Bank of America is calling from a new number. I've asked them many times to stop their marketing calls. They called again today. My daughter answered, and a woman asked for one of the parents saying she is calling from Bank of America. When I called their main number, they told the call was not concerning my account.

I am on the national do not call registry. Can companies call me to solicit servises just because I use their credit card?

A telemarketer or seller may call a consumer with whom it has an established business relationship for up to 18 months after the consumer's last purchase, delivery, or payment - even if the consumer's number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. In addition, a company may call a consumer for up to three months after the consumer makes an inquiry or submits an application to the company. And if a consumer has given a company written permission, the company may call even if the consumer's number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.

One caveat: if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship. Indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list.

I keep getting marketing calls from Bank of America. I know I'm a customer, but good lord, I don;t need my wife getting harassed every ten minutes to see if I want credit insurance or some magical special offer that they only give to their best clients.

Calls kept coming and were never answered. Looked the number up on the internet and found this website, so the next time they called I answered and told them I did not want credit coverage and to quit calling and hung up.  Next day I got a call from them again, answered, heard people talking in the background, but nobody answered.  Maybe the person saw that they were not supposed to call and hung up.

This number has rung into our phone seeral times.  When I have pickd up nobody is on the other end.  They typically call around 10 a.m.  Not only frustrating but also very annoying.  Is there a number to call or someone to contact to request these calls stop?

I decided to the number back to request they remove my number from their list.  "Adam" was polite and apologized in addition to saying they will remove our number from their list.  Guess I can only wait and see if this was a bad decision.
The number was for credit insurance or something to that effect.

I get calls from this number many times a day and have for many months. We have a gadget that blocks theses numbers; but they still ring in. It is so annoying. I sopke with a Jennifer and she stated that they were looking for a Charles, and have for the past 2.5 years. I explained that I have asked repeatedly for my number to be removed and it is not happening. I also explained that according to the law, now I am going to legal to get it taken care of. This is just so annoying. They don't even follow the rukes when it is a wrong number.

I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

The number is from Bank of America selling a 'debt protection or credit protection' service. They were very polite and promised to remove my phone number from their calling. I have had about 7 calls from them.

This company keeps calling me about every day for at least a week or more.  At first we told them we were not interested but they still call back.  One lady hung up on me when I asked them what their company was called.  I called back several times to get my name off the calling list.  I'm on crutches and it's hard to get to the phone.  They just called again today -- I answered and no one was there.  I finally called Bank of America and asked them to get us off this list.  I hope they can do something about this.

I have never picked up the phone on this, but since they are calling everyday, I decided to check it out on Google, then I called them. The man was very nice and said he would take me off the list. I wondered why I was getting these calls since I am on the registry for "Do Not Call" and he said it was through my bank. I told him I did not have a Bank of America account, and he said there was another bank that they were working on behalf of as well, which I do have an account with. We'll see if it works!

Hello, I have been getting these calls too, and only from searching and finding this site did I know what company they were from. I went to the Bank of America site and found this page to set your "privacy preferences" (whether or not you're an account holder):

Don't know if it'll work but you can print it out after you're done and have proof you requested they stop.

It is Saturday and they called at 11:35, then at 1:05, then at 2:15, again at 3:32!  Each time they call they don't leave a message and hang up.  This is getting annoying.  My number is on the DNCR.

Calls several times a week - often two or three times a day. When I answer, there is no one on the other end, but sometimes there is background noise - people talking etc.
Very annoying, especially since my son works nights and is trying to sleep during the day.

I receive several calls from this number everyday.  If I answer then nobody comes on the line.  If I don't answer then no message is left.  I called the number back and it was about the "Death Protection Program".

I'm on both the national and state Do Not Call lists, and have no business with B of A.  Hope the FTC will take some action.

They've been calling me for the past week. I'm on the national DNCR and have never had any business relationship with them.
