Let me join in on this! …Same thing, everyday, about 3 calls from that number, for several months now. I am on the "Do Not Call Registry". I did answer the phone once and they were offering some kind of credit protection or something like that. I have already told them that I am not interested. The calls continue. PS: Today I called the number back and the announcement says "thank you for calling about the death protection plan.

I went to the BoA site to fill it out and stop the calls...at the bottom it states it may take up to 12 weeks to process it.

But thanks for bringing this privacy profile to our attention!

I too have received this call but it comes in coincidence with my identity being stolen, I had an account with Bank of America that was hacked, they called my wife from this number and they were trying to get more information from her, THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM, THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE YOUR IDENTITY.

1-800-943-3022 calls my house @ least once a day and I finally picked up today and told them to stop calling.  It's annoying!  This number comes up on caller ID, but then when they want to leave a message, they give you another number.

I use this particular phone number to receive faxes most of the time. I did a Yahoo search to see if I could identify the source. the 800notes.com website came up.

    Ed,
What phone company has a line that allows you to block a # ??
Very interested - we get 3 - 4 calls/day and when answer - get just a hang up!

I, too, have been the recipient of several hang-up calls from "Unknown Caller 800-943-3022"... At least twice a day for the last couple weeks. I am an artist who works at home and every time the phone rings it disprupts my flow of work. If it's a legitimate call I don't mind putting my work on hold for a while to take care of real business, but this kind of call unneccessarily stops my whole creative process and now makes me so angry it takes me longer each time to get back into the groove of my work. Simply put: These calls are hurting my business!

They keep calling and calling with no one there when I pick up. If you call the number back and speak to a rep they can remove you name and number from there server's auto dialer.

Bank of America, huh? [***]. I get a varying number of these during the weekdays, always when I'm not there during business hours. It shows on my caller ID as "unavailable name" along with the number. Of course, there's never a message left on the machine. I've been listed on the DNCR in the past, I guess I need to re-register on that list again. A few years ago (2001/2002) I bought a "Tele-Zapper" from Radio Shack to put in-line. After installation, the number of calls I would get dropped from 10-15 per day to about 10 per week. I'm not sure how effective it is these days.

Okay, I just returned from a local BoA branch. I have a credit card which was originally from MBNA which was swallowed up by BoA. I went in to make a payment and explained to the teller (her name was Kim D.) about the "800" phone calls and the Debt Protection Program. She knew exactly what I was referring to, and she also recognized and confirmed 800-943-3022 as a valid BoA number.
Once I explained to her I did not wish to receive any more calls, she went right into her computer and marked my number as "blocked" so I wouldn't get any more of these calls. Our conversation was very cordial and business oriented. We'll see what happens from this point on.....

I had the same problems for years. So now that there are internet phone companies you can get multiple phone lines for cheap. I have a phone line dedicated for use when I fill out loan apps, internet registries, contests etc. And I make it so it doesnt ring and only logs the call then goes to voicemail. Very Nice.

Got two more calls today. Here's my plan: Since I personally went to a BoA branch and requested they cease on July 30, I'm going to wait until after September 1 and then return to confront them again. This will give them time to update their system through the 1st of August and the 1st of September hopefully purging my number out. During that time I'm going to log and document the calls I receive during this time span and see what happens after September 1. If, after September 1 I'm still getting calls, I will return to inform them I will file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission as well as the Oklahoma State Attorney General's Office.

i.d. says unavailable, number shows 1-800-943-3022...they never leave a message, and call from 8am - 9pm everyday of the week. My husband does have an account with them, but they have never once left a message. guess i will answer next time now that i know who it is calling, and ask them to stop. doubt it will achieve anything!!!

Calls twice daily, when no one is at home, thank goodness, or badness.
I would much rather get a simple-minded letter: explaining their useless
information, so I could SHRED IT.

Well it's now been a week since I requested the calls be stopped (see the 4th post above this one). So far, so good. Haven't received any from this number. Stay tuned.....

I receive calls from this number as well as CWFA (202-552-1966) on a regular basis.  This frustrates me as I am on the Do Not Call Registry and have not done business with either of them.  I do not answer the call and they never leave a message.  I really wish these people would respect our privacy and quit calling especially when people have expressly said that they do NOT wish to be contacted!
