Called stating they were Capital One and attempting to collect an overdue payment. I do have Capital One, but my account is totally up to date/paid off so I was immediately suspicious. Clearly a scam/phishing attempt.

Do you often look up phone numbers? Why? And don't say "To tell other people who it is" unless you also say you post about every number that calls you.

Collections Agency. Blocked. I'm ill and don't need this.

 this is getting nuts, everyday they call my at my business. this is such a scam .   I would like to just give  them a  jewel card number as a joke

They keep calling my husband and telling him his  Capital one card is two payments behind. However we are not two  payments behind. There’s something fishy about this phone call. We are totally in present time with our payments.

This number has called several times looking for someone. I told them several times that she does not work here to quit calling. Finally had to get a little ugly today and she said she would remove our #

Same here-never had a card with Capital One, which made me skeptical. Then I saw the response above about someone having a balance and they seemed to know the amount, so I assumed maybe this was a store account linked with Capital One and I just wasn't aware that I had an account. The guy who answered said that this might have been a Cabella's account, but we have never had an account there. When I said this, he asked my name and said he'd remove us from the list but they keep calling. It's definitely fake, though it comes up as Capital One with an 800 number. They continue to call daily. They seem to be banking on the fact that you will think you have an account there and then give some information over.

Woman's voice on a recorded message saying " We would like to discuss solutions regarding an important business matter with Capital One. Please call us back today to discuss further" Seems like a scam because I called back and I told them I don't have an account with them. Then he said it could be Cabella's or some other store I have never heard of. Said I don't have an account with either  of those. He said sorry and that he'd take my name off the list, but I am still getting these recorded calls.

I work for a furniture company with a many multi-line phones and we keep getting phone calls from this number for the past few months, every day, a few times a day. So we have to place out actual customers on hold to get the line. I have told them 6 times to remove the number and they still call, yet insist they are removing the number.

No calls, but phone out of order. Rec'd letter stating owed $137.92, to call 1800-955-6600 at once.  Stated this letter is from Credit Collections and acct. will be closed if not paid by 2-27-2019.  Acct.was supposed to already be closed.

they call day after day leave voicemail after voicemail claiming to be Capital one I do not want them calling or leaving anymore voicemails after I block them

They called me and repeatedly tried to get me to give them my account info even though i knew it was a scam and told them so they kept trying to get my account number

This is verified a Capitol One phone number. I didn't think I had a Capitol One account but one of store cards was bought out by Capitol One and I was indeed 7 days late on my payment. Funny thing, they would never leave a message which I thought curious, if I missed a payment, and you made the effort to call, wouldn't you think you could/should leave a message? That just seems like very poor customer service!

Capital one calls my cell phone daily. I have called and told Several people they want the person that had my number years ago. They say He has to call and tell them to stop. How Stupid He doesn't know they are calling!

I have blocked Several of their numbers. They call from a new one.

Someone from this number calls morning, noon & night...Saturdays & Sundays.
Just a man's voice saying to call 800-955-6600.
