Calls all the time

I received a voice mail from "Karen at Capital One" that she has been trying to reach me numerous times and to call her at 800-955-6600.  I called the number and got the familiar Capital One "thank you for reaching" message and then their hold music.  The girl that came on the phone said she needed my entire account number or social security number in order to look up my account.  I told her I had neither and hung up.  Then I called Capital One using the phone number listed on the back of my card, told them that I received a call allegedly from them at the 800-955-6600#  and he said that is not their number.  I told him they wanted my entire account number or social security number which I would not provide and he said that Capital One never asks for the full number, just the last four digits.  I told him how they are using Capital One's hold music and recording at the beginning of the call.  I told them to report this to their fraud unit.  He said he definitely would and thanked me for notifying them of this scam.

I am tired of this number calling. I got my account current so I don't know why I keep getting calls from this number. I tried blocking but it still comes up.

I'm getting a phone call from this number once a day. Will not answer.,..on my phone it will say possible spam. They never leave a message.

Called this morning. I didn't answer while driving. They left no message.

Claims to be Capital One, assuming collections. I never had an account with Capital One, so I am not certain why they are calling me unless a certain someone I know used me as an "emergency contact" on something they did. As usual, and with all collection calls, never, i repeat NEVER give them any information or even speak to them at all. Also, NEVER sign for a certified mail from anyone. Signing for a certified mail gives them a checkbox to check if/when they go for litigation.

Credit cards do not have "emergency contacts".

I receive several calls a day from this number saying “ “Hi this is Linda from Capital One calling on behalf of Walmart regarding an important business matter please return this call at 1-800-955-6600 to discuss further again the number is 1-800-955-6600 thank you…”

I feel like it’s a scam or something so I don’t answer. I don’t owe any balance on either card.

Calls several times a day.  Leaves no message.  And when I look at call logs from this number the person's name is Nicole Miller.....I don't know this person ...if important they need to leave a message.  And my phone has it in red as SPAM.....

This number calls at least once a day.  My server identifies it as possible spam so I don't answer it.  No voice mail, just quits ringing.

Keeps calling and when they left a message he couldn't speak english. Some out sourcing group in another country. Blocked call

Just got a call from these scumballs.  First thing the "rep" did was ask if I could hear her.  I said no.  Next she says that she's with Capital One.  I demanded she prove it.  She couldn't.  I hung up and blocked the number.
