Hey David, I'm Dave. Same here man.. the story isn't identical, but so much is. White daughter, father sounds black, two south Carolina numbers, calling and texting, calling you son. Finding this page was a huge relief.

Anyone reading this in the future. If the police had reason to believe you were engaged in statutory rape or exposing yourself to a minor, the family pressing charges doesn't matter. Those charges would be brought by the state. The cops would definitely not refer you to the family to work things out.

I just got the same call and am freaky the f out. I actually am in the Army and can't have this effecting me. Same exact number and same exact story. I heard cop radio in the background though which is what worries me. But if a school was involved I figured the police would have been at my address. Did anything happen after you didn't respond?

Happened this morning from # 8032254194 only through text though claimed his daughter was underage and he was going to the police at 3 o clock. Then asked for $250 to lift the charges he was going to file against me. I said he was extorting me which is a federal offense and said if the girl is underage than he is also guilty of the distribution of child pornography.

It's been around for while but spreading like wildfire lately. And you're exactly right. Lawyers said same. Some guys have even gone to extent of tracking down pics. Usually found from random porn sites and certainly not underage. I got msg from fake cop (which is also federal offense impersonating officer) on Wed saying should resolve matter with dad cause he's gonna press charges on Thurs. I'm not hard to find and guess what. No cops. Same as the dozens or hundreds of stories through these threads. It's a ridiculous sick scam

Always through text. Until you agree to give them money.  I've dealt with this for a year now and thenot I realized it was a scam after doing some research.  I blocked all numberset and then I get a text from the "father" from a new number asking why I blocked him and said ..what you don't think I won't send you to jail. He's had like 6 different  numbers.... quote the scam but they have it coming to them

My son had a similar experience.  Met "Jessica" on POF, she claimed she was 18, they started texting and she immediately gets sexually aggressive.  My son didn't send her any pics so the alleged Father says his underage mentally disabled daughter crashed his truck trying to come see my son and someone's going to pay.  He said he was going to the police on Monday so I asked if he felt like his daughter was violated why didn't he go now?  He said his pregnant wife has high blood pressure and this is tearing her up and he can't leave her.  It sounded fishy to me so I Googled it.  I told him that I knew what he was doing and haven't heard from him since.  The number he's using now is (803)479-5568.

Ridiculous that people get away with this... But it seems like they are constantly changing numbers, so there isn't much of a way to report it.

803-479-5568  This is another number used in the scam.  His daughters name was Jessica he later claimed she was mentally disabled and wrecked his truck trying to come to my location.  He threatened to go to the police on Monday and I asked why not today and he said his pregnant wife has high blood pressure and some story about how he couldn't leave her. I looked him up and the number goes to a Wyman Hendrix 717 Park Rd in Lexington SC  I was able to listen to his voice mail online and I think this is the correct information.

I got the same call today and I actually paid the dang thing! I don't know what to do!!!

Had a POF scam met a girl on there I'm from and in Virginia anyways met her on POF dating site, her profile said she is 20 yrs old and a bar tender, fishy because you have to be 21. I ignored that and messaged her hey, she than replied with her number. Talked to her for a bit which by talking I mean two or three messages before she sent me a booty picture in her underwear then asked for a pic. Didn't hear from her for a couple days until yesterday when her "Dad" called me saying that she was 15. Little did I know I was freaking out how was I suppose to know she never said anything. Her dad was angry as to why I was sending his daughter pictures and so on. I explained the situation and he said he would tak to his wife and call me back. When he did he said his wife would agree to replace a lap top for some reason for $1500 other wise they would go to the authorities. As I did my research freaking out I noticed pof scams and what do you know, same exact scams all over the place. They will use local police officer names and call you from local numbers that are sketchy looking such as (757) 925-4100

Newport News, VA pretending to be police officers, gentlemen this is called SEXTORTION. If a parent catches their daughter doing that kind of thing they won't contact you trying to get money, simply confront them about it and let them know that you know it's a scam. They will play the script to the tee, and sound convincing ( which the guy who called sounded like he was a crack head ) but non the less will attemp to sound professional. My son got a call from a James Barnette asking for money claiming  he spoke to his daughter who is only 16.  My son asked him why was she on an adult chat room. He got angry and told my he can put him in jail for talking to a minor.  Supposedly she sent nude pictures but I am starting to think that he did it. He even sent me a copy of an agreement stating I will pay 2400$ and he will not file charges.  A detective Lee also callled.  He has called from 403-225-4267 and is still calling. I stopped answering his phone calls after I found this site.   His daughter supposedly broke 2 computers at school and now he wants us to pay for them. She also needs anger management classes. I've been dealing with it for 10 days now. Blocked all numbers but they still send msg or try to call on occasion. There is no daughter. It's scammers pulling random pics off sites.

8038976633 fathers name was larry collins, girls name olivia. Heard of scam before so once it happened I played along to get as much info as I could. Sending fake pics as well. Guy messaged saying she tried to committ suicide. Wants 900 bucks for half of her psych treatment in south Carolina. I called acting scared and begging. Then messaged him this site along with others about this and reported to police in south Carolina. Be careful guys.
