Yep. None that works at the Sheriff's office. They told me there was one at local pd, but they say they don't have one. Maybe there used to be. The sheriff's office told me that these scam artists are using the names of real officers.

Have you asked the police to verify a number from someone who says they are a investigator....a different  approach..... Maybe it's a police sting

I know this is our only question but did they tell you what happened on Thursday night Friday morning when she supposedly cut her wrist on Saturday morning because I got a call on Friday afternoon saying that she did it I am getting the local police involved in and contacting internal affairs with the FBI

If it was a police sting, we would've all gotten knocks and warrants at our doorsteps by now. And they wouldn't have asked us to send money to a no-name account, they'd ask for you to bring it in person to make an arrest.

just so you all know I now have a real police officer involved and a real and attorney involved I'll let you know my updates as I know them so far from the officer it is not a real police officer and they said to tell them to go fly a [***] kite and call the real police they are more than happy to deal with this problem

If that were the case, somebody would have to make a complaint and then do an investigation.  These people calling you  are not interested in going to police authorities since they are extortionists themselves. They may think you are vulnerable and they will just keep this garbage up.

Whatever you do don't pay an extortionists anything!

You're getting further than I did with the authorities. Like I mentioned before, I have voicemail evidence of this person claiming to be a detective. So while I'm not sure how I could get it to you, if they need it, I'll figure out a way.

Among everything else we've gone through in backchecking this story, I talked to the sheriff's department he claimed to work for.

I got a call from a 864-923-5511 number saying he worked from greenville police department said he got a call from kyle saying he had message of me sexting kayla 843-607-4976 said  kyle would like to talk to me before they pressed charges  but i see where alot of people has had this happen what do i need to do

see what he has to say ask him for a batch That should say badgenumber and the police department city & state that he works for because you want to verify he is a real police officer I need to know what he says

I am happy to say due to the evidence given on this site the FBI along with the GPI is launching a full-scale investigation anyone that gets a message from either of the number is 803 or 864 call your local police department and reported trust me the federal investigators are involved p.s if it was a police officer sting they would not use their daughters or anyone under the age of 18 rest assured it is a total scam my sister happens 2 work for the FBI with the Missing and Exploited Children I told her about it trust me it was hard but now it is verified definitely not a police officer or a real dad do not send them [***] tell them to go [***] himself

Just got the same call and at first was terrified  even though i knew  I had not sent anything explicit I than started digging and found this and man am I relieved...he called back saying that they need the money today and i went off on him BIG TIME !! Told him he was caught and to leave  me the f alone ... so thank you guys for posting this!!! The number i got was 864 417 8581 and the "dectective" was 8035317504

Ok so i met a female on a dating site posing as a 18 year old and the whole exchange of pics thing happened i got a call from a lexington detective saying that he got the transcript and ran a "background" check on me and he has the number to the father to talk to me. i called the father and he said that the daughter is now in the hospital and she needs to go to therapy and need $1800 dollars and he will tell the detective we settled it civilly and im trying to see if im being scammed. the number to the "detective" (i cant remember his name) is 643-640-8050 and the "dad" is 843-952-3868 so i need some insight to whether or not im possibly being scammed. any insight
