Yes it's still part of the scam. I just got a call from a lady saying she was from the Greenville District Attorneys office. She said I still owe a balance of 250.00. I never paid them anything. So I think it's funny. The original phone call happened and I read this forum and called him out on it. He said I think you had learned your lesson. Then she calls me 6 months later. Lol. Not getting a dime from me. It was an 803 number. Greenville DA number is 864 area code.

I got the same exact calls but from numbers 8432142260 (father) and 8432878745 (detective) about they're daughter Alyssa

Like many, or all, I fell for this as well. Angry father calls first from: (803) 683-2429 after 2 days he says not to text/call that number but this number: (803) 443-5990 wanting 2100 to be sent Western Union to someone in Chicago. Then wanted 3200 in MoneyPak cards with the back scratched off and a pic of that and the receipt next to it. Even sent a pic so I knew what it looked like. After refusal, I get a call from a Sergeant from the Kansas City Police at: (816) 224-5111. I asked questions and I called back, it was the police station, but not Sergeant by the name there. The number showed as a spoofed number. The Srgt says they want to settle this with money, no court.

It was about one week ago I was on POF and got a message from this “girl” named Ashely who on the profile said she was 19 years old.. she asked for my number so I gave it to her and about 10 minuets later she text me and asking for a contact photo.. she started the conversation and all of a sudden things went from basic conversation to her trying to sext me and admitting that she was 17 turning 18 in 2 weeks from now.. “she” send me some inappropriate messages and images that were not  asked for and I didn’t respond after that. The next day after work I get a call from “her” father who has a deep southern accent and he was irate with this whole situation saying his daughter is  is only 17 years old and it is illegal what you are doing and she is now hospitalized  after my wife went through  her phone and had seen what was going on.. she is upset and is going to a treatment program to get her life back on track and it going to cost over 3,000$ and I was at the time freaking  out and my heart was beating rapidly.. I wasn’t sure if this was real or a scam or what was going on anymore so I mentioned well what if I help the cost and he said “I’ll tell you what I’ll keep this between us if you help pay for it” BOOM knew this wasn’t right at all.. no parent would take money and sweep something this major under the rug.. I was contacted by 5-6 different numbers the first one was out of Pensacola, FL and the rest from Charleston and Greenville South Carolina..I have ignored those calls and blocked that number right away.. I got a fake detective who left me a voicemail “saying this is detective “........” calling in regards about you messaging inappropriate stuff to a 16 year old girl.. she went from 19 to 17 to now 16..
numbers to watch out for are: (843)998-2481 (864)271-5210 (864) 271-5333 if you do get a call look it up if it says it’s the local police department don’t believe that, the number could have been SPOOFED to look legit..
I was very scared and thinking omg I’m going to loose everything.. it was a well planned and well thought out scam that had me at first until I started searching and found what others have posted.. it made me relax knowing it was all a big scam and that I was in no real legal trouble. Please be careful out there.. avoid giving out your phone number to someone on any dating apps.. ask if they have Snapchat and try to keep the conversation on the app  and if they say no or say something like  I don’t use Snapchat or Facebook and they give you a bs Answer  red flags should be going up all over!
Deleted the accounts you may have, pass this on to your friends and others who are in dating sites and let’s get these bad people and put an end to this crap, and let’s also go back to the old fashioned way of meeting people face to face.
Again be safe and take this as a huge lesson learned in what could have been the hard way..

change up yiur phone number, lock down your Facebook or other social media apps don’t have your phone number linked to the accounts at all, don’t allow anyone to view your friends list/ followers list.

This is really friggin simular to mine..I got a message in my kik account from a "father" of a girl(Dominique Goines) that had sent me nude photos and he stated he found them and i had to contact him asap! i asked for his number and he gave it to me  803-218-8155..he told me his daught was not 20 years old and not married like she had told me she was and when he found out she kicked in a glass door even sent me a picture of a broken glass door. he also told me he was willing to work it out. what flags clued me in was the phone number was out of columbia,sc and he said he worked at fort bragg. the other things that were red flags was his "wife" texted me from her work at fort bragg with the same number. well i told him i would help pay for the door but his daughter needed to be held responsible also. he told me the door cost $1298 and i told him i could not do that, next red flag was he was willing to accept $250  next red flag was he wanted me to send it Walmart to Walmart...to his wifes name of Treaver Boswell. and he told me his name was Mr. James.in Burlington,nc,.so when all the flags started adding up,South Carolina Number,lives in Burlington,nc, Works at Fort Bragg as "Special Forces" I knew I was being scammed...this all started in the app. MeetMe  glad to see others have been attempted scammed.. I deleted his numbers and blocked them. and did not send any money

I got a call from 803 235 1753  same scam different number telling me I was sending pics to an underage girl he said his name was my Payne and I should call the was and see if we can work it out during out talk he asked for $1100, this sounded a little strange I contacted the police in his area they told me they get 100's of calls a day about them u blocked them and sent nothing. I later found out the so called fathers real name.

Got a call from this number "8039046634" in the morning around 11 am 3/18/2018. A man stating why I have been talking to her 17 year old daughter Emily and sending her nudes. He mentioned there was a fuss all night and her mom broke the phone. Now he wants me to pay $350 through paypal moneypack card from wallgreens for the initial early termination fee and then set up a monthly plan for a new phone with verizon. :D

Michael Carter....curt/ foul language used: when I spoke to their "legal dept", a Michael Carter came on the line refusing his address -I said my SC complaint filed in Superior Court San Rafael Ca had to be served so I needed RAM's address- to which he proceeded to curse me out with the usual expletives.  How do we trap this leech? I'll talk to Superior court Charleston S.C. And see what comes of it.

I got a call and a text  from (864)202-6490 saying that I made contact with a minor and that his name was detective Mike Boldin and that if I didnt call him back he would issue a warrant for my arrest...he says he was in Lexington county South Carolina..so i called the sheriffs department and asked if they knew him and they said no they didn't. first off detectives can't issue a warrant...second of all they will not call or text you if they do.

Fell for this scam for many months because of how real it seemed. REPORT IT TO THE POLICE AS EXTORTION. The cops I contacted were very understanding and helpful. I spent thousands on "therapy" for the daughter who went by Amy and talked to a "father" that went by Bill Holland.
Southern accent, SC and NC area codes. Threatened to contact my parents and send the evidence to all on my facebook. Scared me beyond belief. This site gave me the courage to talk to authorities and exposed it as a scam. Thank God!

Underaged girl scam numbers.  Appears to be centered on the Eastern Seaboard somewhere.  I think it is the same party or parties doing this.  I suspect that they actually work in the telemarketing industry in some capacity or another.

The extortionists work from dating sites.

MO goes like this:   Someone contacts you saying they are the “father” of and under aged girl you contacted.  They say they will go to police unless you pay them money by untraceable means.

In some cases they spoof real police detectives and real police departments. Say there is an investigation ongoing and   by the way,  they’ll  l stop the investigation if you pay  them or the complainant party a certain amount of money.  Again by untraceable means.

Anyone contacted by these extortionists should immediately block the number and make a police report of attempted extortion.  This crime  is a felony in most jurisdictions.   As is outright extortion.

Started talking to a Taylor from Ashley Madison she said she was 23 and after we started texting she told me she was 15. She had already sent nude pics to me, after that her dad called saying she got caught texting in school and when she got home she threw the phone and broke a glass door. He didn't want to pursue legal action so he told me to pay for the for which was $859. After that I did me research and found out about this scam and very thankful I did. The number they used to contact me was 505-205-3953. I googled it and it's listed as a pet store in New Mexico. I'm blocking the number and we'll see if a detective calls me soon.

Also the father's name was Bennie and the mothers name that was going to pick up the money was called Emily yazzie
