I have Metro PCS / T-Mobile. Like others here, I got a call from this number that went straight to vm without ringing my phone. It left a 2 second vm, just a tone. But the number listed on the vm itself was 954-542-8803 (a nuisance call I've had before) so they apparently used the T-Mobile backdoor others have talked about.

My recommendations:
#1- Don't answer any calls from numbers you don't recognize
#2- Don't call back any number you don't recognize (why let them know your number is live and that you respond to unsolicited calls?)
#3- Report nuisance calls to FTC do-not-call website (donotcall.gov)
#4- get a call blocker. I have heard they are available free from Google Play or the Apple Store

And for god's sake, don't give out any information to *anybody* who has called you unsolicited. If you think they have a legitimate reason for calling, call them back using a phone number you can verify as legit.

I don't have T-Mobile, I have Metro PCS and I get a call every day from 805-637-7243.  It is the number that auto calls as a reminder that I have new voicemail

I think it might be T-Mobile. I just got a new phone and a couple days got a call but I did not answer.  Try using the app  "MR NUMBER BLOCKS"   its free and blocks unwanted calls.  I had this app on my old phone and will now install it on this phone.

Just received notification about a voicemail, but my phone never rang.  It was a message for "Derek".  I've only had T-Mobile for almost a month now.  I don't want to deal with this "backdoor" voicemail number...if that is what it is.  When I get a call and a voicemail is left, all I have to do is tap the phone symbol square and then tap the voicemail symbol.  I don't need to put in a password because it doesn't ask for it, because I set it up that way.  It's easier with my sugar issues and my doctor calls that line.

I got 2 calls from 805 637 7243. Ramiro L. Villaion. This number showed as SCAM on my caller ID

I have unlimited voice and I have received a few of these calls.

The easiest thing to do is to block these people. If they don't stop calling, block them! ☺

Invest in a call blocker.

I RECIEVE THIS CALL AT 6PM.   I DID NOT ANSWER BUT THE VOICE MAIL SAID.   IRS IS FILLING THE LAW SUE AGAIST YOU?
WHEN I GOT THESE MESSAGE,  I CALL BACK.   IT DOES NOT TELL ME IS FROM THE IRS OFFICE.   IT SOUND LIKE SOME KIND OF SALE COMPANY.
I HATE TO RECEIVE THESE KIND OF MESSAGE.    THIS IS REALLY GETTING PEOPLE CRAZY.

Has called twice on cell although it never rang.  One message was dead air, other was "press 3 for" and then went blank.  Am assuming it was a scam.  Legit companies leave a name at least.

knock it off whoever you are cannot leave a message and calling my cell phone day and night.  If you don't leave a message I will never talk to you especially when you are an unknown caller

try call control at a 1 time charge of $7 or $8 that does the same thing.
