Three times in the past 1 1/2 weeks this number (813.899.1569) has called our home #.
No one has picked up since no one recognizes the caller.
We probably receive 8 to 10 out-of-area/anonymous/unavailable/toll free calls daily -- it's embarrassing when we have guests in our home and our phone 'announces' who's calling over & over.........

They called this morning - no message. Seem to be getting lots of calls these days from these telemarketers or their types - especially between the hours of midnight and 6am. Why is there nothing that can be done here?

Do not, repeat, DO NOT answer any phone call that your caller I.D. shows as a number that you do not recognize. (Especially if it is from an area code other than your own.)  If it is a legitimate caller to you and/or your business, they will leave a message and you can get back to them.  Block the repeat offender caller numbers if you can, but otherwise, DO NOT answer the call.  It's either a scam or a quick hang-up by somebody simply verifying your phone number so they can sell it to other bottom-feeding, scum-sucking pig of a company so that they can call harass you as well. (And don't even think for a minute that the 'Do Not Call' Registry will protect you in any way shape or form.)

You get what you pay for. Are you willing to pay more for an enforcement arm for the Do Not Call list?

Simple fact is crooks are not going to follow laws. This is NOT reason to get rid of these laws-- following that logic, why have laws against drunk driving, or child abuse?-- and YOU certainly aren't going to pay a lot to run after ghosts using IP phone systems routed through a half-dozen countries in order to score a few nuggets of senior-citizen-with-a-credit-card gold.

This company "L & J Holdings" based out of Tampa Florida Calls me today. I was hesitant to participate in the conversation and should have listened to my gut feeling. I went ahead to hear what thy had to say about companies to invest in. Everything was fine until they started to ask me my marital status. I told them that that had nothing to do with the investment information that they were informing me about. The went on to ask what occupation I was in, and what my annual income was. I declined to answer any further questions.   Be Careful People!!!!  Research for credible information on in the internet before you part-take in anything with this companies.

I got one of these and no longer get any calls I don't want.
The phone never rings with blocked areas, area codes or numbers or no data, or who ever.

Thanks Curt. I was able to call and get me put on the do not call list. I asked what they were and they said they were a survey company.

They are L&J Marketing out of the Bay Area of FL.  They claim that if you want to remove your phone number from their no call list all you have to do is give them the information they need to remove it.  This is a CON.  Your phone number and name are now verified as accurate and your info is then sold to others.

I have received numerous calls from this #.  I see the identity, pick up the phone but do not speak.  They don't speak either, then there's one click, wait, on second click it disconnects you.  Keep thinking they will remove my number but it just keeps calling.  Such a nuisance!

Free yourself - by NOT answering any call when you don't recognize the caller ID.  The DNC list isn't effective, but if you can eliminate the need to answer every ring, you will feel freedom from frustration.  We never answer the phone unless we are sure we know the caller.  Anyone else with legitimate reasons to call will leave a message.  Telemarketers and scammers will never stop calling - but you can simply ignore their rings.
