Portfolio Recovery Associates are a$$wipes that keep calling. Can't even get the right name when they do call. Keep blocking their numbers.

They call from multiple phone numbers: 817-479-9154, 954-606-9402, 620-263-3537 and 859-286-9557. They do not answer me when I say hello twice. Believe me, I give them plenty of time to answer. It has been multiple calls with multiple numbers. Nothing but dead air. I'm reporting them to the FCC......

Again, for the umpteenth time, IT at my place of employment has emailed me regarding the constant abuse from this number over VoIP at my office phone. They have recorded 38 calls since Monday, and 15 from this particular number since last night at 7:50PM CT.... they say it's harassment, and have taken it upon themselves to take the last 10:15AM call this morning and pursue a legal case against them, being Portfolio Recovery. I owe these people nothing. Old debt is done, buried and dead.

They keep calling and leave no message...just hang ups. I will never answer.

I love to tell them that I am mentally unstable and that I own an AK47 and would love to come to their place of business and "show" them my gun. . . . . . they usually hang up on me at that time!

Received call today (Sunday 09-28-14) at 9:30 AM.  Female caller asked to speak to an individual who does not live at the address associated with my phone number.  She said it was urgent she speak with the person and I should take a message to give to that person.  I told the caller that even if I could deliver a message I would not since I am not the caller's errand boy.  Also told the caller to NOT call my number again or face the consequences since my phone number is on both the current state and federal Do Not Call lists.  The company calling me is Portfolio Recovery, which is a misleading name.  They are scurrilous "debt collectors" who prey on unwary or unenlightened individuals.  In other words they're the scum of the earth.

No one here is calling you. Invest in a call blocker.   I must say, however, the PRA is known for changing numbers and continuing to call.  So you'll be kept busy blocking numbers.   If they continue doing this make a complaint.

You can send them a cease and desist letter too.  There are templates on the net.

This is not unusual.  They called me up once and asked me to go to a neighbor's house and leave a phone number for the neighbor to call back to the collection company!   I told him that I didn't work for a debt collection company and to do it himself.

They're in Virginia, an open carry state. They really can't object.

As long as you have them on the phone you may as well have fun with them . They were constantly calling my home phone , I had just changed cable companies and got the all in one you know the deal . These phone numbers must be re-harvested i was getting like 5 to 6 calls a day for the same guy (never heard of him ) so after a whole lot of trying to co9nvince them of this i decided to have fun . when i recognized this i answered the phone with " THANK GOD YOU CALLED I did it i killed her but there's blood everywhere i chopped up her body and i need your help "  since then they have not called back that's been 5 months now

They just called me and asked to speak to someone. i told them that person does not live here and I do not know who they are. She told me it does not matter we had the same last name so i should pay that debt!!!!! ummmmmm right!!

Got a call from this number and when I answered they disconnected. Annoying!

Portfolio has called twice a day every day since 2007. My Dad died in 2005 and something to so with Dish Network debt. A debt which never existed since final bill was paid and they shut service off immediately and wanted an additional 3 months pay. He died and now they call me. I've even proved his DOD and still the insult me by calling. I set up call forwarding so now I just decline and reject. Lost count of their numbers. They have callers in every state in every city. Portfolio Recovery = Garbage.
