This number is legit. My card got declined. I immediately got a call from this number to verify the transaction. Then my card went through normally.

    Hey
Was calling BoA and was going through the voice prompts.  Finally got to a customer service rep but I didn't like their accent, so I hung up.  This number called me back and seems to be part of BoA's system.

I got an email with this #, and rather than calling the # on the email, I called the # on the back of my card. Turns out that I did indeed have a fraudulent charge made on my account. I had recently requested a new card because my old one was set to expire. I suspect someone intercepted the new card as I never recieved it.

FRAUD. Official sounding warning of fraud use of my card with directions to call so card would not be stopped. Checked my account online - no problem. Called customer service and they said there was no call from BoA to me. They suggested reporting it to abuse@bankofamerica.com.

I agree. I reported Fraud charge on my BOA credit card 2 nights ago. We handled the block and everything in one call  Tonight I got a call from this #. I do not answer calls from #'s I do not know, I google them. I wonder how this number gets connected to the process?

The number is legit. I got a voicemail from them saying this is Bank of America - please call us with reference #. I called back and had to input my cc # which I was not crazy about, but I had just made two large purchases after not making any for a long time so I could see where this would raise some flags. I entered it and then had to enter the last 4 of my social and the number on the back of the card. Finally they read back the charges in the exact amount and retailer names and asked me to verify them. It was all automated. There's no way a scammer would have known what I just bought so this is for sure really Bank of America.

Validating that a number is legitimate doesn't reassure call recipients the caller is who they claim to be, since scammers constantly spoof bank numbers in an attempt to gain access to your account info.
Never trust the caller will be who they say they are, always call from an official number to verify they called you.

I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.  A few minutes later I got a security text from Bank of America showing a charge that had been declined.  I called BoA the next day and they canceled my card and are sending another one...

I continue to receive robo-calls from this and other toll-free numbers telling me either that my car warranty is about to expire and I need to update it, that I qualify for a credit increase on my credit card, or that there has been fraudulent activity on my card. Please make it stop.

I can't verify it, but it seems like a scam number pretending to be Bank of America phone line. Somehow they knew my last four digits of credit card. Don't call this number to check for fraud. They ask you to say or put in your FULL account number or social security number. Don't do it. It sounds like they're just phishing your credit card number or social security number.
