- Roe replies to Kelly| 2 repliesNope, you're stupid. This is a legit call, they were checking to make sure that I authorized a few internet transactions. This is part of my Fraud Detector service that I pay a monthly fee for, so I'm glad they're doing their job!
All you people saying it's a scam need to do your homework! - Greta replies to MohNot sure if this is fraud since I did not call back but earlier got a call from
the same area, different area code 614 and it was for Discover card collections.
I don't and never had a Discover card and apparently they skip traced and found
my # and last name was the same. They are taking my name off the list based
on the phone # I verfied. I did not give out any other info only that I was not and did
not know that name of the person they were trying to contact. - Jadethese people are FRAUD. I thought it would never happen to me and sure enough it did. they said they were calling about my inquiry to bbb on my chase account .. and i thought they were legit because of that. it so happens they are NOT. i don't know how these people got the information that i signed up with bbb. i will be contacting bbb about it.
- Caller: Says chase but NOT
- Posts are LYING!it's Jade again ..OK.. just now reading these other posts. people PLEASE do not pay attention. i just spoke with several diff offices for Chase and these people do NOT exist in their system. i can't believe i was taken by such people . they were SO PROFESSIONAL and unlike other posts these people did not have accents and had very professional and understanding demeanor and very courteous. what a bunch of snakes. when they say to be careful and that these scammers are professionals . they were not kidding!
- Caller: NOT CHASE
- legit chase customerthis telephone # is NOT Chase...I am a legit Chase customer and I called the toll-free # on the back of my card...she researched it and told me it is not a Chase # and would report it as a scam..they call my cell phone about every other day, never leave a message...annoying....probably trying to get personal info...I blocked their number with my cell phone provider
- Caller: unknow
- legit hereThis number is legit. Caller knew of my charge history (what phony caller would know that), did not ask for any personal info, and said there were suspicious small transactions that can be a test for a big phony charge down the road.
Cancelled the card. Card cos are trying to stay on top of this game but alas are too broke to have European style fraud security.
Always call back if they act funny or ask for any personal info. - dsmChase fraud
- John Patrick Morgan Chase (aka JP)COME ON PEOPLE!!
It IS really me calling you - TRUST ME!- Caller: JP MORGAN CHASE
- Call type: Prank
- ChristineCaller said he was calling on behalf of the Chase Fraud Dept. I did not give out any personal information, except to confirm my name (he asked if he was speaking to [my name]....) and to confirm that I was in physical posession of the card. He then cited two recent internet transactions (date, name of company and dollar amount) and asked if I had made these purchases. I said that I had. He thanked me for my time. End of call.

There were a lot of varying opinions on whether this number was legitimate or not, so to put my mind at ease, I called the number on the back of my card: 1-800-432-7115. The Chase customer service rep did acknowledge that they had contacted me and transferred me to the Fraud Dept.
Don't rely on message board postings. Call the number on the back of your card. Not all customer service reps may be able to identify the number, but they should be able (from the account's notes) to determine whether a call was made to you or not.- Caller: Chase Fraud Dept.
- EchoI don't have a Chase card and so far they've called me 3 times today....what's up with that??
- anonymous replies to jollyone word for your "story"...........HOGWASH ! Don't believe this crap written by this poster.
- Alias tooThis number is a contract number not CONTACT contract. They are gathering information for many different reasons. Just like the person complained to the BBB they are trying to resolve that issue. They have been contacting me trying to get me to acknowledge two accounts with them. Accounts they sold off and are now trying to work with the company they sold it off to to Validate the Debt they also sent me letters wanting me to either a) claim fraud or b) say it was my account. These people do many different jobs within a call center setting so yes they can be legit and yes they can be fishing for information to ding you or help someone ding you. Me??? I refuse to give anyone the wood and nails to crucify me. Just be aware of the process they are being utilized for.

- TRSCThis number calls our cell phone daily. I do not plan to call back. I would like to see this corrected or shut down.
- Screwed by ChaseChase Executive Offices. I filed a complaint against them for sending my account to collection when I had been making payments and have all the receipts to prove it. This is not a fraudulent number as I had contacted them by email and snail mail as well as contacted the Attorney General's office about their practices.
