These people have been calling me and my parents.  Hello?  I am 50 years old!!  We made a police report because they knew too much information on my family.  I dare them to call again!!

My husband received the phone calls & the voicemails saying they had a summons!??!. Shocked he spoke with them trying to figure this out. They emailed him this phony letter almost IDENTICAL to the one above sent to Kate. They were attempting to collect from a debt they stated from over 10 yrs ago!!! When he asked why this debt never appeared on his credit report they told him that it soon WOULD appear if he didn't pay this debt now.Luckily I took the time to google Swanson Walker & Associates...so glad I did!!!! I cant believe how many times this has happen to so many people & they're still going strong attempting to intimidate , harass , & collect money from innocent people. IGNORE THEM & DONT FALL FOR IT!!!  They present themselves as a law firm when really they're just a bunch of shadey people trying to RIP YOU OFF!! sorry guy not this family =)

Got a couple of very harrassing scary calls from this number! My poor child was terrified! She was scared they would "break in" while she was at home! Though she is old enough, this just sent this mother in a tizzy of anger! Where do i report them or get this to stop??!!

Said "an attempt to ....due to lack of response." --- no name, no reason, nothing!

They have called me 2x's saying that they're in route with a summons, be available within the next 36 hours with 2 types of ID; 1x's stated I missed a court date and I was in contempt of court.  All BS.  Process servers are not going to let you know they're coming; process servers are not going to ask for 2 forms of ID. Proper Service has to happen before you are required to appear in court.

False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:
Falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
Falsely claim that you have committed a crime;
Falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;
Misrepresent the amount you owe;
Indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren’t; or
Indicate that papers they are sent to you aren’t legal forms if they are.
Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:
You will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;
They’ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or
Legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action.

anyone who has received a call in which you were threatened with a lawsuit, process server, summons being issued, etc, can file a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's office by calling 716-853-8404

it is a violation of law to threaten criminal or civil action when the agency does not and cannot sue someone.

yes I received the same call from a johnathan stewart from legal caring services saying he is coming to my house 24 to 48 hours to be available with two forms of identification or they were going to my job and summons me there.  they gave me a 8553933793 number to call but it just kept ringing, I called the local sheriffs office and reported it,  they left the message on my machine and the time, I cross reference it on my caller id and it registered 000-000-0000 that is usually out of country. So I was suspicious from the start.  I t is a fraud do not stay and argue with them, I dare them to come I got a 125 lb White English Bulldog that would love to have them for lunch..

I have received calls from 855-393-3793 & 855-845-2940 Jonathan Stewart, John Starks & a man named Timothy Armant called stating he was the Senior Paralegal for this law firm Swanson Walker & Associates.  They threatened me, hung up in my face, then called right back interuppting my work day & said that I better pay $956.33 within 24 hours. I called both numbers & they are just hanging up on me or you get a new person each time.  I called one more time & Amber said she was going to send me some paperwork to my email address & she then placed me on hold & never came back to the line.  I was told by the 3 men mentioned above, that they were coming to my job to arrest me or my home which ever they find me at first.  That is a little excessive & abusive.  Something should be able to be done to harrass consumers on this level especially for a Zales account I have been disputing since 2005 & it is now 2013 & they are calling in this manner.  I am human & have debt just like the next, but do not deserve to be treated in the manner I have been.

We received the same call and try to scare you into paying them right away, what can be done? im sure there are people out there actually paying this scums.

The same call with the same mo. I can't believe that guy got an attitude with me when  said he wanted to verify with the last 4 of my social and I told him he needed to verify with something else other than my social security number. Then he starts going off about well I'm just trying to help you out. . And then he was like you know what forget it.  Freakin scammers.

Johnathon Stewart called me, stating he had a summons for me. After FINALLY getting someone to answer the 8553933793 number and speaking with them...I got a really bad feeling about these guys. So, searched the "law firm" name on the net... And u guessed it.. It lead me here. So, Beware its a SCAM!!! Just a bunch of sorry losers preying on others instead of getting a real job! Don't tell them anything.

Yes, I just got a call this morning from "Jonathon Stewart"--very bogus message that matches everyone else's experience reported on this page. It's an obvious scam. I worry about our elderly out there getting these stupid calls. It's illegal in MA, where I live, so I'm reporting this to our attorney general.

they been bugging me at work threat to put me in jail just on and on so i sat do one day and with free Google voice and lots of emails i keep calling them from different numbers and being rude back finely got a supervisor on phone and they say im off of calling list now and they will serve me lol what do i care i have no money and no work lol ill update if they call again

Same as the other posts - Swanson Walker.  Vmail said they were coming to my job to serve me - a lawsuit had been filed by Discover for an unpaid debt from 2000...very rude & hung up on me - said he didn't like my sarcasm.

Yea they wanted to give me a hardship payment of $694.12.
