This person needs to be put in jail. I saw this listing on craigslist and it was a great deal. I contacted him thru email and he said the same exact thing. I sent him $1500 plus it was $92.00 charge fee. I haven't recived the car yet. This man is ridiculous someone has to stop him. I wish I been googled this before making any payments.Look Out 4 Lt. Matthew Horn. DO NOT RESPOND TO HIM!!!!

I hope they put him under the jail. I sent Lt. Matthew Horn $1500. I thought it was a great deal. After the 4th day I didn't received the car I knew something was not right. Someone please stop this man, please. BE AWARE 4 the 1998 TOYOTA CAMRY!!!

First off, this appears to be a cell phone number so physically finding out where this person is will be tricky with out getting a warrant for the provider.  But hopefully the following info will help someone try to catch this person.

I too rec'd a reply to an auto ad submitted on craigslist just this week.  I hope you can catch the scammer.....email address was ltmatthewhorn46@gmail.com.  I too knew the ad was too good to be true so I did an internet research and found this site.  good luck!

OK- Two things for everyone that has posted questions concerning this scam.
1) We can shut them down quickly, so no one else gets hurt. What looks like a legitimate email
  account, (joe123@aol.com) is actually stolen/highjacked from the original owner.
Here's the procedure:
- When the scammer responds with some sad story, close the email and right-click on the email in your    
  inbox.
- Select "view source" or "properties", (depending on your mail server).
- Starting at the beginning of the long header, left-click and drag the mouse over the entire message.
- Open a new email. ("Compose", New". whatever)
- Right click where you would type a message and select "paste".
- Notice what server the email came from, (ie; comcast, aol, yahoo, gmail, etc) and address your message to "abuse@comcast", or abuse@aol", etc. This will go to the security group at that server.
- In the subject line, put "Nigerian Spam/Scammer". This is their cue to review the body of the email, where they will see the scam with the same sad story unfolding and immediately shut down the stolen account. It only takes a minute and you will have thwarted hours of work by the scumbags to steal the address and setup their scam. After having their email frozen several times, they will give up and move on to some other scam like selling their kidneys on the black market.
Oh yeah, the second thing... If it sounds too good to be true, run away! Only a naive fool would jump at a "perfect" 4 year old Benz for $4000, thinking its their lucky day. Use some common sense & move on!

Got the same exact email to a T.....It's a scam....Scam don't buy from Tom Rochleaw!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received same exact messages from SSGT. Tom Rochleaw, same story same car and pics.....what a scam, what pisses me off is, I'm an Iraqi Freedom veteran and to see these people use military as a way to establish trust with innocent victims is pretty sorry and cowardly.
