RECEIVED few days before failing today(24MAR2009) BBB claim.  The following text was submitted to BBB:

Info of new car purchase. My Name/Address is given out to this company. Scam to trying to make me buy "extended" Warrany on my vehicle. Even "warning" me of "VEHICLE WARRANTY EXPIRATION" even thought it has nothing to do with really. You have to stop them at least on the basis of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

I got called 3 or 4 times until abt 3-4 weeks ago and the caller hang up when I asked for company name / full details and call back number.
My wife received several calls in this respect, always second notice when should be advanced to 20th or 30th by this time.
today i received a green card in mail box from National Vehicles Headquarters as (guess?).. second notice concerning vehicle waranty expiration, being prompted for VIN# and actual mileage. Callback number is indeed 1-866-225-7135.
My name is not corectly stated, they do not know VIN#. What kind of bussiness they are conducting? Is strange and annoying same time.
I would prefer not to receive anymore this kind of disturbing messages.

I got calls, but ignored them all.  Then today I got the famous green card, but I'm not calling them. Why? The postmark and the address doesn't match. Which by the way doesn't state either company. My car is brand new (the warranty can not be near its' end). The ultimate false alarm, if I have a warranty with them then they would know my VIN#?  Scam confirmed!

National Vehicle Headquarters company name is an alias name under  "Automotive Product Consultant" (here are some other alias used by the same company "Dealer Direct" & "Mota Moters"). If you make complaint online you must be redirected for state of MO. They're aware of the company, however there are not enough complaints about the company!It gives you everything you need to know about the company including the company president; both vice pres; all sorts of telephone numbers and etc.

It is easy to get off the list, I did...... just try to get warranty for a 1958 land rover!!! obviously wait until the last minute until you tell them its a 1958 they get really mad and then ban you from calling them!!!!!

I just got one of these lousy post cards saying they need my VIN number and am asking myself if they have my warranty records why would they not have my VIN number already.
 Also they address it to my fiancee but our new car is not in her name its in mine. Freakin cheappo scammers and state insiders who provide clean information of them,cleaning them of their [***] scam, thats laundering at its best!!!

I don't see anything wrong with the green card I got.  Yes it looks like they want to sell me something but who doesn't?  A post card does not a scam make. I looked them up on the BBB and they have an A- rating.  You don't get that scamming people.

They said my factory warranty on my vehicle is expired

The card does not say your warranty is expired.  It says expired or will expire.  Sounds true to the max.  Everyone seems paranoid.

I also received that green card, it is a Scam, bot of my cars are still well between factory warranty. Don't call.

I kept receiving the phone calls from unknown number saying that My car warranty is expiring soon, I doubt at that moment because my car is a 2009 model...and there is no reason the warranty expires this soon...but yesterday, I just got a green card notice in my mail from National Vehicle Headquarters 770 Spirit of St. Louis Blvd. Chesterfield, MO 63005 saying that it is the second notice and requires immediate response before May 29th...it looks so official and even there is a tracking number on it...so I called and thanks god, there is nobody picking up the phone(maybe because it is Saturday!!) then I google the number and know it is a scam....that was really close...everybody should be careful about this number....

I think they have an out on this. On the back of the green card, it reads toward the upper left "The factory warranty on your vehicle has expired or may be expiring soon." Nothing untrue there. It applies to every vehicle out there.

Also, at the bottom of the back of the card in fine print below the office hours it states: "If you already paid for extended coverage, disregard this notice."

Yes, it's misleading and intended to scare people into buying something that they don't need but from a legal standpoint, I don't think they are violating any laws.

I didn't get a phone call - yet. I did a get letter from National Vehicle Headquarters telling me that my warranty was about to expire - that my loan was for a longer time period than my warranty, etc. I was given a week to reply to their letter. Supposedly, this was an an exclusive offer for me. The envelope made it look like that my loan company had recommended the company. I decided to check it out before I did anything. Luckily, I found this website and went to the bbb business website that was posted. The phone number on my letter was listed there: 1-888-755-0088.

I received that green post card but I did not call. I have not new car, mine is from 1997!!!, warranty expiration???. I don't need call them to be sure what about it is.

Regarding who sold my info, I would bet in my insurance company if I have to.
I've a 09 Mazda6 that I bought a couple months ago before moving to new place.
all my mails from mazda still comes with that USPS mail forward stamp, since I've never updated my info.

The insurance company, on the other hand knows that I've a car and my correct address.

Man, i'm stupid to give them my information... I've only been in the US for two years and know nothing about scams... Nobody ever warned me about scams like this... I didn't buy the warranty though nor give them my credit card number... I gave them my car's vin and of course my phone number... I just hope nothing happens really bad that can mess up my life because of giving them info... I just barely started life here... I feel unsafe now...

Be careful of US Fidelis, that is the company that did all the robo calls and they were profiled on Good Morning America as a scam company.  Avoid them at all costs

If it just said that it "would" expire then it would be true. But my waranty is not expired. This is a crime. Someone should kill these people.
