Everyone's bitching but does anyone have a solution for these annoying phone [***].
They kept calling me a few times a day and nobody was on whenever I answered.  
I finally called and spoke to someone after I got an URGENT message at work and they said they were a collection company for Rogers.  I told em I didn't know what this was about and to stop calling.  His reply was "well we're just gonna keep calling."  
Do they actually get results with this tactic?

Called demanding money for a old rogers cable bills. Was unable to tell me what the bill so for. I called Telus and the account was SO old it was purged form their systems.

Rogers told me to them iQor to "Prove it" whenever they call. iCor respose with "No, call rogers and ask them too". I keep informing them that Rogers has purged the account long ago and can't answer any of my questions on it.

got call from IQOR.
answered phone.
no one on line.
hung up.
called back.
told man call came at 8:15pm.
told man not to call again, and to check thelog.
man asks for this #.
i said no.
man hung up on me.

The people who call claiming to be working for Icor (sp?) are certainly very aggressive. To my knowledge, they use the following two numbers: 866-526-7793 and 866-294-1752.

Their approach seems to involve asserting that the person they are calling owes money to Rogers Communications, of all things. In other words, they don't ASK you if you owe money. They TELL you. Presumably their ideal mark is someone who doesn't keep track of his or her bills.

They're very brusque and do not appear to be fazed by threats to call the police.

After receiving more calls from "Icor" than I can count, I've stumbled on the technique of asking the person what their last name is. It seems to make them pretty nervous.

I had another call from IQOR who are ignorant people.
When you answer the phone there is nobody to talk too.
This is a PRANK CALL. You would think that if someone was calling
you there would be someone on the line. At 3:14pm today they called
but no one was on the line. I hung up fast.
THIS IS HARASSMENT TO ITS FULLEST DEGREE!!!

THE SCAM !!!!!!!!!!
This is not only one it's going crazy every day I never answer on their calls.

Just got a phone call from these people identifying themselves as a collections agency, they advised me that i was overdue 36 dollars and change on a rogers account in Fredericton NB in Nov. 2008. I have been living in Alberta for over a year.

I have never had any dealings with rogers my entire life, when i advised these people of this the just refered me to 1-888-rogers1, when speaking to the rogers rep they had no idea who i was, when i called these pricks back they promptly hung up on me for not providing a phone number....I think I'll be prank calling these [***] all weekend while getting piss drunk

how miserable they can be! At 11:23AM and then at 4:35PM, but
calling them back did no good cause they closed early today!

We will press *57 and these calls will be put on a trace list.
The Police Force and RCMP trace these calls through the phone company.
It works! The harassing calls will stop.
The police will track them right down to where they work!

We all have privacy rights and we should use them.

Hi, I have IQOR calling me 25-30 times a day. I am disabled and by the time I get to the phone they have hung up, they only let the phone ring 3 times, my caller ID always says unknown caller or New Jersey, How do I make them stop.

Dial *57.
This puts them in a Police Telephone Tracing Database.
After a few times, they'll get a call from the authorities.

That's so articulate of him: "I'm a collection agency." Must be quite large, that guy. Most individuals who work for agency are agents and such. Please, "just" don't answer. They hate that and it discourages them to the point where they eventually stop.

Now, this abusive thief left you with his number. You can leave such critters with the following: "This phone-call has been recorded. In my state, recordings serve as evidence accepted by civil court. See you there. *click*"
