- Tired of Do Not Call NOT WORKINGReceived the same phone message as most of you - my caller was Christopher from 866-312-9553 ext 109 but the phone number showing up on my caller ID was 708-248-7185 and the company it was listed to was PRIZE CARD SERVICES. I do not return these calls especially when I have never "completed a card entry to win a car" and selected to receive "one of 4 top appliances"... SCAM of course

- anonymous replies to Central MissouriRe. "what actually takes place once you get there," I've never gone to one but from what I've read on 800notes, you'll get a sales pitch of some kind (cruise, timeshare, etc.) when you show up to collect the prize and the prize may be a discount for a trip and not the trip itself. Prizes supposedly have gotchas so few claim them.
- DFloridaI also received this phone call from the 708) 933-0229 # Stating that you are a winner! Congratulations, you have won one of our top 4 prizes! I would not be calling you - we are aware of the Do not call lists ( I am on all the DO NOT CALL LISTS) Saying his Name is Christopher - I was not able to make out the name of the the Co. name, but it would be in my best interest to call him right away, he has been making a number of calls to reach us. (That is not true) and to call him back at 866-312-9553 - ext #109 I did try to call this # all voice mails no people to speak to, I was not about to leave my name and #. I just think this is wrong that they Blatantly are ignoring the Do Not call Laws, with not a care in the world! Just Not right. I am so glad that I did some more research! Now I wont be calling them back again.. Thank you all for posting I hope anyone else who gets a call posts and complains and hopefully they will be shut down!

- DFlorida replies to ConcernYes you are correct, however I don't ever put my name and # down on anything - I don't enter sweepstakes or contests. I put my # on the Do Not Call List in order not to get promotional Phone calls - I have to agree to receive to get the phone call for them to call me, and this is not the case here. so Yes on one hand I do agree with you, if it was a true contest someone won! then by all means they should be contacted - this however is a shifty way of telemarketing. If you have to sit and listen to a 4 hour presentation before you take your vacation then you did not win, you are being sold either timeshare or another vacation package. So in essence you have not won anything... I don't believe anyone would actually submit there phone # to be contacted to be sold something willingly, would you?
- Bugged by 1-866-312-9553| 2 repliesPretty much got the same schpeel as the other callers from someone who said he was Christopher. Company name sounded like "Vandell Communications."
Blatant disregard of the Do Not Call Registry. Christopher, Sean and all the other losers making these calls need to crawl back under their rocks.- Caller: "Vandell Communications"

- Cookoo from callsI got this message today too. Christopher must be tired of calling so many people. Someone should get him some water, he must be thirsty. I know for a fact that I did not enter to win a new car. No way, no how. I have two paid off high end cars and I wouldn't enter to trade down. This must be a scam.

- Bill in Tucson| 1 replyWe got Christopher's call today too. We will happily take the car but would take delivery on neutral ground; just in case they want more personal information. Please send a check book with it so we can pay the taxes. I appreciate these websites as they seem to be better protection that being on the do not call lists.

- irritatedI received the same call from Christopher..garbled...word for word. I am on the Do Not Call List and do not sign up for "contests". The defensive responses in this forum have similar characteristics such as poor spelling and poor english grammer. I don't appreciate this invasion of my time and privacy by deceitful telemarketers with no respect for the law or for other people.

said not a cold call and he knew we were on the do not call list. This was his last attempt
to contact us, We have never received a call previously. He said id that we had filled out an
entry form in the last 18 to 20 mos, for a new car. He did not have either of our names and
we do not fill out entry forms for things. Sounds like a roundabout scam.- Caller: Vandale Communications ?

- richie replies to Laughing out Loudyou should first learn how to speak correct english. Then you should learn how to write correct english. Then you should learn how to spell correctly. Once you have completed these three items, please repost your entry in correct verbage so that normal people can completely understand what you are trying to say.
- sanchito| 4 repliesgot the call too...Christopher ext 109..gottta be a scam..
- clarice replies to ConcernYou are an idiot. We are all receiving the same unwanted intrusion in our lives. Some have called back; some have not. The ones who call back are reporting nothing that would change our minds that THIS IS A SCAM!!
Get your head out of the sand; and stop preaching to us. EVERY ONE can't be wrong. You live in a fantasy world; or worse YOU ARE PROBABLY "CHRISTOPHER". - Clarice replies to Matilda Jane| 3 repliesYeah right. "Christopher and Sean"; you need to stop, we have your number. Matilda you are also an idiot.
It would have been nice if you had "won" a brain. - Nick T.| 2 repliesPersonally I think that the "National Do Not Call" list is the biggest scam. No enforcement, no penalty for the violators. If there was they wouldn't keep doing it.

- Not Fooled replies to Bugged by 1-866-312-9553| 1 replyI too received a call from someone by the name of Christopher telling me that I had won 1 of 4 top prizes. He stated he was calling from Vanguard Communications and that he had been trying to contact me. I called the number !-8666-312-9553 x109 got transferred a couple of times and each time they asked my name I told them they should know it since they called me. They then asked for the number I was calling from and I advised I am sure you know that already since I am sure you have caller I.D. Well needless to say I was told that if I were they person they were looking for that I had one a 2010 Lincoln Navigator or I could take the $45,000 in cash. He then proceeded to tell me about the other two prizes. I told him since I had won just pull up the truck up to my house and put the keys and the papers in the mail box. Then I heard a dail tone. I guess I didn't win after all.
- TJ| 5 repliesIt looks like Vandell Communication, Mitchell Communications and Faithful Marketing, LLC are all the same company. To date I have received 3 calls from them using 3 different phone numbers: 773-891-5629 (caller ID: Prize Crd Srvc), 773-358-1470 (caller ID: Ilinois) and 708-933-0039 (caller ID: Mitchell Communications). See http://www.mitchellcommunicationgroupllc.com
On Nov. 12, I received a voice mail from Christopher at Vandell Communications. The message says: “Hi this is Christopher calling from Vandell Communications, I've made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name in the last 12-18 months to win a new car. This will be my final attempt to notify that your name was pulled as a winner and we are going to award you one of our top four major prizes. It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 1-866-312-9553, ext. 109. We're not a telemarketing agency or timeshare; this is not a cold call so please do not ignore this message.”
I decided to play along to see what kind of scam this really was so I called the toll free number and dialed Christopher’s extension. Christopher wasn’t available but Paul (x135) was could help me. They did not know my name even though they said that I had entered this contest. After giving my name and my husband’s name they asked if we were between was 25 and 72 years old, married, and had a combined income of over $45,000. Then Paul explained the prizes as follows:
• Brand New Lincoln Navigator or $45,000 Cash
• $2,500 to spend any way you wish
• 2 nights’ accommodation and airfare for 2 adults to Orlando, FL, Las Vegas, NV, Los Angeles, CA, New Orleans, LA, Reno, NV, Cancun or Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and many more vacations to choose from.
• 32” Color TV
Then he asked if we won the car would we allow our names to be publicized. I answered no to that question. Then he said that we would be asked to attend a travel related presentation for 90minutes and that I would receive a “gift package”. We would need two forms of identification. A driver’s license and a major credit card, no debit cards or checkbooks. We would also need to bring the confirmation letter, which was emailed to me later. Then Paul said that the presentation was on Saturday, November 13 and I could attend at either 10am or 12 noon and asked me which was most convenient. This was the grand opening of World Class Travel in Tucson, AZ and they wanted to make a good impression.
Later I Googled “World Class Travel” and they are a travel club that offers discounts on their travel for participating. They require an upfront "good faith" deposit, which I understand runs in about $4,000 to $6,000, required to claim your prize or gift. The amount of time to get the gift is unknown. Refunds of the upfront deposit are also difficult to recoup if you never receive your gift.
I didn't go to the presentation but did receive a follow up call from Paul, the same person I spoke with on 11/12) Monday (11/15) Today’s call was from 773-358-1470 with a caller ID of Illinois. He asked me if I went to the presentation for World Class Travel. I told him no and he asked why. After a few minutes of discussion about my reasons for not wanting to get involved in this scam, the call ends. However, this is not the end of the story.
Christopher called again today (11/16) using phone number 708-933-0039 and caller ID, Mitchell Communications. My husband answered the call and was going to have me talk to Christopher but he hung up.- Caller: TJ
