- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 4 repliesMike, this is unfortunately another unsubstantiated claim. You state that we are a total and absolute rip-off where nobody ever comes away happy. How would you have knowledge to make any such claim? You apparently don't have any personal experiences with our company to speak of, so why pile on? You received a voice mail from a company that's been doing business since 1975 and wants to help you sell a vehicle. If you don't want the help, just say so. It's really not necessary to launch a full scale attack full of unsubstantiated, false allegations.
The truth is that many of our customers come away happy. And their claims and testimonials about our service are based on REAL, personal experiences, not what some random person who never tried our service typed on a website that'll accept anything.
Check out these two (just for examples) testimonials found on our blog...

- satisfiedashell replies to Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 3 repliesif u really had satisfied customers u wouldn't have to come on here or even have time to come on here and lie and u wouldn't have to break the law and violate the DNC and lots of state laws that prohibit autodialers spewing recorded messages. u r a liar and a thief. business must be really bad if u gotta leave messages here to try to cover up for your sorry criminal a$$. u still gonna be callin us with ur scam from the cardboard box ur destined to be livin in soon? if ur lucky that is since its a lot harder ro run the sam from JAIL where u belong!
- Sammy| 1 replyHi, I just signed up with AMS, reading these messages though it makes me alittle scared like i juat f**** up, but I am trusting that everything works out! so far everything looks good, even on the BBB all the complaints have been resovled. but I will keep everyone posted on what happens, whether or not my car sells, or i get my money back. but again im hoping im not just another sucker that fell for it...

- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to satisfiedashell| 2 repliesI really don't want to come on here and reply with a war of words and certainly not silly name-calling. Many people are quick to get on the internet and hate on people and/or businesses which they assume are a scam based on information that is flimsy at best. For example, we are very aware of and sensitive to the National Do-Not-Call legislation and regulations, as well as all of the state laws that you ignorantly attempt to regurgitate.
Longwood Industries is a 501c3 non-profit organization. This status makes us exempt from Do-Not-Call regulations. Please read that again. Now, having said that, we also maintain an INTERNAL Do-Not-Call list. If you do not want to be contacted further about services we have to help you sell your vehicle, please call and provide the phone numbers you wish for us to put on our DNC list. If you would like, you may also provide it here (not recommended) and I will confirm that your number has been added. - Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 4 repliesFirst, let me say that I appreciate all that the BBB does to keep consumers safe and happy.
I do feel that it's necessary here to make sure that everyone reading this understands what it means to have a complaint "RESOLVED" as all of ours have been.
Certainly, as most everyone is aware, it can mean that the company subject to the complaint screwed up and has made amends. In our case a good example would be that someone was due a refund and it was not processed in a timely manner. In such cases, the refund would be processed without further ado and the case is closed and marked "RESOLVED."
What most everyone is NOT AWARE of are the more prevalent cases where someone simply files a complaint (which is all the customer needs to do to put another tally in that column), but then the company proves that the customer was in the wrong and/or did not follow the terms agreed upon. After this is proven (by way of signatures and recordings, etc.), the case is closed and also marked "RESOLVED."
Do you see the problem? The company, although it has PROVEN and "won" its case, is still scarred with the "complaint" because it is NOT REMOVED from the company's BBB record/file. All you see as a bystander in this scenario is another complaint that, thanks to the BBB, was "RESOLVED." It was, however, resolved in the company's favor.
I HOPE EVERYONE WILL READ THIS AND EDUCATE THEMSELVES REGARDING SUCH STATISTICS.
Again, look at the information provided here. You are talking about a company that has been in business for well over 30 years and providing this service for about 10. The number of complaints resolved, no matter how you interpret them, is minimal. To date, over 500,000 people have entrusted us to help sell their vehicles all over the U.S. and Canada. Satisfying all who come to us is extremely important, albeit unfortunately impossible. But we'll continue to do our best to do so. - Mike| 22 repliesHey Paul - you are registered as a charity so you can cold call, but you are a for-profit business. That makes you dishonest and a scumbag.

- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 1 replyMike, you replied within 1 minute of my post. Very interesting and coincidental for someone who doesn't work for 800notes.com?? Furthermore, unprofessional name-calling from a representative of your company.
If we were a for-profit business, how could we be registered as a charity. You are once again talking about something you don't understand. Do a little research about 501c3 NON-PROFIT organizations. The fact that we can provide and charge for services doesn't make us a for-profit business. Please stop ranting out of ignorance. Please. - Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 5 repliesConsidering I'm defending our company against an employee of 800notes.com, I can see that I may be fighting a losing battle. Nonetheless, I will continue to answer the call (pun intended).
Mike, the BBB stats are NOT for one area. They are only listed here because that is the BBB that we are registered with. Those complaints are not just from people in our area.
You are losing more and more credibility with each ignorant comment. This is how things snowball out of control. - Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 19 repliesDoes this not look like a charitable organization to you?
www.longwoodinc.com
Longwood has been providing job opportunities to the disabled and mentally handicapped for over 30 years.
Meanwhile, you sit and rant ignorantly on your computer and call us dishonest scumbags. What you have done for your community in the last 30 years? - Mike replies to Paul with Auto Marketing SystemsThat's funny - you, calling someone dishonest. No, I don't don't work for 800 notes, I just think it is important for people to know what a ripoff you are.
- Mike replies to Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 15 repliesWhere is the auto sales listing cold calling business on that site?
- lamet replies to Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 4 repliesBBB DATA IS NOT ACCURATE! If the business is a dues paying member - the BBB does not report ALL the complaints they receive and inflate their ratings. THE BBB STOPPED BEING A CONSUMER ADVOCATE LONG AGO.
The BBB does not want to lose the dues money so they always side with the business over the consumer.
READ ALL ABOUT IT
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/001/ripoff0001343.htm - Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to lamet| 3 replieslamet, thank you for your input and the link. There's way more reading there than I have time for right now, but it seems interesting.
Speaking from experience, however, it is not true that the BBB always sides with the business. Or maybe that's how it works for "dues-paying members" that you mention. That being said, it should be made clear that while I mentioned moments ago that we are REGISTERED with the BBB, we are NOT "paying members" of the BBB.
Please note once again that the BBB is another hub for complaints, not pats on the back. Thanks for your post. - Paul with Auto Marketing Systems replies to Mike| 14 repliesThere's a picture of a car and a lady with the headset on the homepage with a phone number listed right below it. I hope you find this helpful.
