Interesting one for you. I posted an add in a local newspaper, i did not post it online or anywhere else. Today i received a call from "matt carter". Their website claims they are located in Bedford, Virginia. So how they got a local add from Texas i have no idea.

Posted my vehicle for sale on Cars.com about 2 wks ago. Just received a call from "Matt" and guess what...he works for Longwood Ink. He stated in the message that he contacted me about a week ago through voicemail and was waiting to hear back from me.

funny thing is...our phone calls are screened where I work and this [***] scam artist NEVER called my number.

new number to add to the growing list...866-326-9921.

I told them that I would pay them upfront if they pay me for the car sale upfront.  Guess what happened?

I just got a call from a guy name Matt from longwood inc...866 326 9921....thank you for the warnings I will not be calling this guy back

jus got a message from a MATT CARTER callING from LONGWOOD INC. and i wntd to look it up to see if it was legit and this is what i found... THANK GOD FOR YOU GUYS...

Got a call from Matt Carter from 866-326-9921. Sounded pretty pleasant, but in rural Ohio a call from an 800 number without initial contact is a scam. I decided to look them up and found all this. Thanks.

Longwood Inc. has tried to contact me multiple times. The last time I looked it was illegal for a business to contact you through a post on Craigslist.

I also got a call from Matt Carter, and when I called back and asked for him was told he was unavailable.  I spoke with a woman who sounded like she was reading straight off a sales pitch prompter and was salivating for my MC or Visa number.  When I asked for some info before just handing over money, she just kept saying it's a one time fee, we have a lot of interested buyers, etc. but never addressed my concern.  Glad to see everyone else's post.  Thanks, you just saved me 150.

This is not from 866-326-0950 BUT is from 866-326-9921 LONGWOOD INC..
I have been receiving calls at my home number from this number and person's name is 'MATT CARTER'...wanting to sell my vehicle...he has a person who is very interested...now his last call is has many interested people....for a $200.00 fee it can be sold quickly!!!!! The guy is now calling my cell phone which I rarely give out to anyone and have no idea where he got this from...anyways he called again yesterday on my cell and ran the same pitch but now says this will be his last call as I have not gotten back to him after his many attempts to reach me...the really funny thing is... I DO NOT HAVE A VEHICLE FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!! and NEVER have had!!!  I have tried to call only to get an answering machine and I left a message to stop calling this number as I do not have a car for sale but guess they never got it!!!  I am also glad that before I called again I checked for LONGWOOD INC. and found this site.....IT IS NO DOUBT A SCAM!!!

I have sent a prior message about Longwood Inc...and Matt Carter... I neglected to say I am from ONTARIO, CANADA so they do it here as well as all over the USA!!!! BEWARE!!! I have never listed anything on Craigslist so I have no idea where they got my number or name unless its from KIJIJI.com even there I have never listed a car or truck!!! Thanks everyone...

I also got a call from Matt Carter with Longwood Inc (866-326-9921).  Unfortunately it is not only craigslist.  They go my number from Autotrader.com.

Got a call from Matt wanting to sell our 4 wheeler that is on craigslist.  I thought it seemed weird so I looked it up and found many reports that it is in fact a scam.

they are doing same when you post your add at autotrader.com

LOL i also got the same phone call from a matt carter trying to pull the same scam on me.. Thanks for giving me the heads up guys! luckily i decided to google the company before i return a call so thankfully they didnt even have the oppertunity to ask for my credit card info.. but forsure this was a scam!

I got a voicemail from Matt Carter with Longwood Inc. They got my number from craigslist. I found this site as I was on the phone with them. It's a bit sketchy if you really pay attention, but it's not hard to fall for it. The message told me to call 866-326-9921 but the rep on the phone told me to call 866-326-0950, so watch out for both numbers

OMG i am so happy i read these comments. my mother told me it was a scam after i told her they asked for a visa or mastercard. then i ran to look up longwood inc. no such thing.

I got a call 24 hours after listing with St Louis Post Dispatch newspaper.  They did call several times - Matt Carter and Dawn Johnson.  I am finally able to sit for a few minutes and think about this, glad I found all the complaints.  Should have known it was something like this.  Huh - Matt sounded like such a nice, earnest young man and Dawn like a real nice mama.  If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I got a message from matt later I called got debbie they say if I pay 150$ they'll sell she alsoclaimed that 61 people have looked at my bike crf150r I 5ol her I would think about and then I googled and found this thanks a lot guys u saved my ass that's for sure
