I just received a call from these guys, "Longwood Inc", and they offered to help sell my car... I know they didn't get the info from my Craigslist ad due to the fact that I didn't leave my number on that ad, so it must be from the Autotrader.com ad... Definitely not going to call them back after what I've read online.

I got two calles in the last week from matt saying the EXACT same thing. His number is 866 326 9921, and he called from restricted. I'm glad i looked longwood inc. up :)

Yes i also received a call by the name of matt carter saying he could sell my vehicle for a small fee he left the phone number 1866 326 9921. Now i know for sure after reading all of the feedback. I know it's a scam. THANKS VERY MUCH.

So glad I googled this company.  I have had two message from Matt too.  Both messages say they guarantee the sale.  First one said they sell the car for a small fee.  I have had several calls already on my post -- I don't think I'm gonna have any trouble selling the car.  I'm certainly not gonna pay someone to sell it for me!  Thanx for the warning!

Heard from Brad twice asking me to return his call at 866-326-9921.  I did not.  First of all, I do not answer "unavailable" phone calls.  Also, like everyone has said, if I wanted to spend more money to sell my car, I would do so thru a place I picked out.  I can't believe all the post I have read and these people are still scamming.  You would think some entity would have shut them down by now.

WELL, I guess I just joined the long list of "contactee,s ! On my situation, I have been getting emails from a weird bunch of letters put togather to look like cryption, asking me " Is the car still for sale?" and thats it. Followed up (after I sent a reply saying my car was for still for sale, and never got a callback to make an appointment to see it ) by a call from MATT CARTER, same message everyone else got. If this guy can Guarantee you a buyer, then why dont he just take his fee when the buyer signs a contract to buy your car, and deduct it from the payment to you? That would keep him clean , and trustworthy. Otherwise, he looks, and I believe him to be JUST ANOTHER SCAM! However, on the other side of the coin, I dont see anyone who actually used his service and said they got ripped off either.But I certainly DONT TRUST them just the same.If you read this MATT, I have provided you a way to show you are NOT a scam. Give it a try!. Honest Living makes a man feel good!.

Here's a good one. Brad from Longwood Inc has now called me. Funny thing is that I posted some Roundback Chairs from the 1960's on Craigslist a week or so back. Maybe the vehicle thing is not working out so well for them so they are now into retro furniture and matching ex-hippies with their old furniture for a small fee....lol

WARNING - I posted an ad on Craigs in Nov and have received 2 calls from Matt Carter of Longwood Inc trying to get me to have them sell my car for a "small fee".

This sounds like a scam to me. Do not do business with these people it is very shady.

Sell the car yourself and avoid getting ripped off !!

I too have been receiving many calls from Matt Carter of Longwood Inc to call back the 866-326-9921 phone number. Funny thing is I am not trying to sell a car, but a transmission for a semi. I guess Matt Longwood is grasping at straws. I only hope no one falls prey to these obviously not legitimate business people.

LAWL called them to tell them not to call an they broke FCC rules they were like not uhhh not uhhhh we dont apply to that im like IF ya say soooo.

I kept getting phone call from this [***] number and i got fed up with it so i had n caller id faker app called the number and gave you and option of being removed from the call list person came on the line and i made it very clear to stop calling she took the number that was being called said i was removed and i said to her very clear if i recieve a phone again at 9 in the mornin im going to the police department for harsment i said i work night and i dont want calls 9 in the mornin and asked her do you want me calling you at 9 in the mornin she says nooooo ok then thank you....... Hopefully this will be the last one...

I just listened to my voice mail from Matt Carter with Longwood, Inc (866-326-9921) He said he had clients who were interested in buying my car and wanted to talk to me. I looked up Longwood, Inc on the internet and found it is a scan. I think we will take our car off of Craig's list also

I've gotten two phone calls from a private number, the message says to call Matt Carter at Longwood Inc at 866.326.9921, that they've got several "clients" interested in my vehicle.. if i were selling a car i might have fallen for it but since i'm selling a motorcycle and anyone who sells motorcycles doesn't refer to them as "vehicles".. i'm glad i did a search on this longwood inc and found this blog

I just got a call saying they had cutomers looking for the same vehicle I am selling on Craigs List and that they could sell it for me for a small fee, "but it's totally worth it" (he said). I really appreciate everyone's posts on here cause it keeps us from doing something stupid. I was given a different number to call back. It was 1-866-326-9921 and his name was Matt Carter. This is very sketchy and I wouldn't even bother with them. If I wanted someone else to sell it for me I would have to raise the price of my vehicle so I could get what I wanted out of it! Please don't be suckered into this. Times are tough and money is tight, but it's not worth letting someone ruin everything you've worked for!

I received, and did not pick up, three calls in as many days from an unknown number. Today the caller left a message. It was Matt from Longwood, 866-326-9921, about my car (same story as above). Except -- I don't have a car for sale.

Dave Mitchell Called me from  866 326-9921  saying he was from Longwood Inc.   Left a message that he was so happy he found me and just needed 'a little more information about my car'  so he could list it for  'a very small fee' which was acctually a camper van, and also had every possible detail already listed in my ad.
