Received many call from them over past 5 days - caller id shows  several different area codes - message says calling about an important business matter - same woman  - robot call  says to call 866-354-0567 -
does not say who message is for - I have never heard of these  people or done business with them. - How to stop their calls is teh question what is the answer -- I have no intention of calling their 866-354-0567 #

It's Cash Central - a payday loan

They just called me for a second time in a week. Name of company is Cash Central, although they might be part of a conglomerate of dba (doing business as) companies operating under an umbrella company. Or they might be a collection agency hired by Cash Central to collect on unpaid debt. They called me because I was listed as reference for a friend of mine who borrowed money from them and failed to pay it back on time. They told me I was listed as a reference, and then asked if I still had contact with my friend (their client). Then they asked me to relay the message that they (cash central) need to speak with him (my friend). Didn't know I was used a reference, but it's for a close friend so it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is predatory practices of these loan sharking companies. I went to http://www.cashcentral.com/ and their interest rates are nothing short of terrifying. Both times they called was mid morning around 10ish.

Then I talked with my friend who said he was unable to pay back the loan in time so he asked for multiple payments plan which apparently they obliged, but then he missed one of those payments. Sad to say but it's a deep rabbit whole of misery borrowing from these companies. Spend less than you make. It's that simple.

First, they are allowed to identify their name and the company they work for and the reason for the call which would be finding this party.  They are not allowed to keep calling you over and over again.  Claiming you were used as a reference is a common ploy by these crooks.  Further, payday loan places are run by criminal enterprises.  I would tell them to stop calling you.  You delivered the message, now it is their problem.  If he took out a loan and can't pay it back that is his problem.

As a side note, I went to that web site and they want me to download something in order to use the site.  Certainly not going to happen because I most certainly do not trust them and would expect them to load a virus or worse onto my computer.  The whois information shows the web site has been up since 2000 but they are concealing their location and true company name by using a proxy service, more indication that they are doing something illegal.

I wasn't asking for advice on how to deal them but thank you. And I was used as a reference. They weren't lying about that.

They called again today. I didn't pick up but called the number back. As expected, there was a generic answering message that just said 'corporate office' but never mentioned the name of a company. I hung on the line as eventually it connected me with a woman. I gave her quite the grilling and managed to keep the woman on the other end of the phone for about 15 minutes before I hung up. She seemed fairly flustered at that point. Lol. They removed my phone number and information from their 'system'. We'll see if they call back. Loan sharks. Tele marketing hounds. Telemarketing scams. Harassing. Harassment.

They have been calling   me for a long time sucking my energy and stealing my time at work. They say they are a cash loan company and I have applied for a loan which I did not, They are trying to get further info.Please help me.

Your Boss will have to find out of they can get a call blocker in or if their service provider can block the number. Meanwhile, I'd just hang up on them. Most of these calls are advance fee loan scams and a lot of them are coming from India and Pakistan.  Just hang up on them. That's all you can do for now. I would not entertain them for a minute.  If your receptionist is sending them on to you, tell her to not allow them to call you and hag up on them.

Just had a voicemail from them using my full name and asking me to let a specific person know to call them with this number and an extension.  Sounds about right that this is a loan trying to collect.

This is the call back number on the recorded message.  The caller ID is always a different number.  They are a payday loan company offering a payday loan.  Not interested, but they continue to call anyway.

these guy said that i borrow money from them  , and that they put it in my bank account  , will i dont have a bank account , yet they have all my information .

Checksmart. They call from all different numbers because they want you to answer the phone. I believe their computer spoofs numbers to make you think it is local. Then you get the automated message that you need to call 866-354-0567 with a reference number. They have called today from several numbers: 513-437-1440, 937-226-1416, 513-447-3068.

Keeps calling every few days. I marked it as "scam" on my contacts. It is a recording.  I do never borrowed money from any company and do not owe any debts.  They been paid off 4 years ago.  I have had the same cell number for over 16 years.  My number is on the "do not call list"  and I never give my cell number to any companies or banks.  I do not use it for a contact number on any website.  Do not know how they got my number.  I spent 28 years in the military.  I am tired of people calling me, trying to scam me.

Call to harass people

Checksmart Corporate is absolutely horrific!! Not only are the employees there VERY RUDE, but they are also extremely uneducated! I have been hung up on multiple times when dealing with the so called "managers/supervisors". Every time you call in with an issue or  question, you get a different answer from everyone you talk to. The supervisor who I spoke with was raising her voice to speak over me, laughing when I was telling her THEIR MISTAKE, and told me she doesn't owe me an apology and I need to end the phone call because she was done talking with me and then hung up!!!! How UNPROFESSIONAL! I should of listened to the other people writing reviews about them and never did business with them in the first place! DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR ANY REASON! They will STEAL your money!! I have paid my loan back already and it is now DAYS later and they have pulled the money out of my bank account AGAIN!! So now I have paid them twice! They stole over $200 from me, not to mention this is the second time this has happened! I understand that one time might be a mistake or laziness but TWO TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED?!?!?! That is no mistake, that is a damn scam! PLEASE, whatever you do, find another payday loan place, DO NOT DEAL WITH CHECKSMART!!!!!!!! The hassle and inconvenience that they will put you through is really not worth it. I can not express this enough to you. This place is absolutely a terrible place.

Go to the police and file a police report, then go to your bank and demand the latest withdrawal be reversed. You will also have to close that account and open a new account.
