I am current on all my payments.  Keep calling me because someone used my number when signing up for a credit card under their name.  They do not believe I am not the person.

Rang once and hung up.  I returned the call and it said thanks for calling the Corporate Office.  I have not borrowed any money, so not sure how they got my number.  I am blocking them.

This number calls me two or three times day. When I answer, they hang up!  When I call them, they apologize for the call and say it must have been a mistake, and they hang up.  I have not  had a returned check in 20 years and have not opened up a payday loan with them.  I never even heard of Checksmart or Check Mart, or whoever they are until I started reading these posts.  I would love how to get them to stop calling, but if they just hang up on me, we don't get anywhere.

They are calling me daily (from the Dublin, Ohio office) since finding my resume online. I would never have applied for a position with them. The amount of calls tells me they are hard up for help. Thank you for the information - I had already gotten the impression that they were not a good company to work for and you have confirmed my suspicions.

Abusive and harassing calls. Harassing at work.

Caller alleges he is with loan company and wants my address and last four of SS#. Then he becomes rude then has my info anyway. Never would tell me why he is calling.

I get called and told that I need to call this phone number for a meeting?? What meeting do who ever they are think I need to attend??  Now they are calling several times a day????

They continuously call my work and cell phone daily even after telling them not to contact me at these numbers. They are rude and nasty on the phone.

call from some one also check cashing place in Arizona looking for Brittney Harris.  almost everyday.  I have told them over and over I don't know her you have wrong number. calls continue. Do I have grounds for stalking or harassment?

a   ha  it is check smart that keeps calling my number for Brittney Harris..  they are wasting there time calling ME.  I don't know Brittney. And yes they can be sued for harassment and stocking me. I had no dealings with this firm.

First off, Checksmart is an original creditor and as such is not regulated by federal law.  Five states do regulate creditors.  " It is against the Federal law for collectors to call your work or employer"  Assuming this was a third party debt collector, Federal law does not prohibit them from calling you at work until they are told otherwise. "also there is a Federal law regulating the number of times a collector (checksmart) may call you":  Umm, well another wrong statement.  Again, assuming this was a third party debt collector regulated by the FDCPA, the hours they are allowed to call you are 8 am to 9 pm your time, any day of the week.  The law does not specify any limitation on the number of calls per day or per week or per month.  Maybe you should follow your own advice and check it out?

Good luck with that "harassment and stocking" lawsuit.  That wouldn't be the proper laws to sue them under.  I am wondering what they are "stocking" you with though.

I just got a call from them they did not say nothing i did noteither i'am not letting them record my voice so don't ever say anything to calle's not on your phone lise that can get u burne'd so i blocke'd them
