Theres some douche named William or Bill Tussey that works there. He is the worst collector or supervisor i've ever delt with. beware of this person. He definitely sounds gay when he answers the phone. very flaming.  If anyone wants to complain, ask for Lou Nash. He is the Chief Recovery Officer for their collections department.

"I received a VERY rude call from one of your agents this evening that was not only inappropriate, but completely offensive.
The call came from 866-354-0567 and the caller asked to speak to "Elizabeth".  As this is not my name nor is there anyone by that name here, I advised the woman (I cannot call her a lady) that she must have a wrong number.  Through the course of conversation (albeit not pleasant) I was able to determine that she was looking for an Elizabeth DeVore.  While my previous name WAS DeVore, my name is not, nor have I ever used Elizabeth.  I have however had persons assume my name, Beth, was short for Elizabeth.
I simply inquired as to where she was calling from and suddenly it was assumed that I was attempting to misrepresent myself and hide the fact that was indeed this person she was attempting to contact.
Let me be clear in this point.  I have NEVER been a customer of CheckSmart.  I am not one of your customers. I simply answered my OWN phone and became the victim of one of your agents who kept telling me that she was not harassing me nor was her behavior unacceptable because she was "not customer service".  I asked to be transferred to her supervisor and she promptly hung up on me.
I see that you have several association memberships listed on your web site.  I will be copying this note to each of them as well as the Better Business Bureau.
Your agents have no right to call and be abusive to me.  This is not acceptable nor will it be tolerated."

They continue to call me and call me.  I would like to know their address so I too can send a cease and desist letter.  I work for a law firm and would love nothing more than to sue them.  Anyone have their address?

they call late at night like 1130pm or later. sounds like a recording. and they call my cell phone , stop calling very annoying.

The caller is Checksmart, and they don't just call if you've done something. I don't even live in the same state as where Checksmart operates, someone put me down as a reference. So, even if you don't have a loan etc with this company, they will call you all the time in attempt to get in touch with the person that they are looking for. There is literally no way to stop them. I've told them I'm estranged from this person and  I don't keep contact with him, and I've told them I live in another state. It's been months, I've just learned to ignore the calls.

As the person at my company who has to deal with these companies, I can only say that they can't call you at work if you don't give them the number.

I try to work with these people when I can, because it's not THEIR fault these deadbeats didn't pay them back. Still, if they are rude, then I have aaaaaaaabso-LUTE-ly no problem giving it right back to them.

Oh, and having your number on the Do Not Call list only stops you from getting random telemarketing calls. If you owe a debt, they are going to hound you and hound you and hound you until you make some arrangements to pay them back.

Call our office everyday looking for someone who doesn't work (and I don't think they ever did).  I've told these idiots several times that they have the wrong number and they still call non-stop.  I've started to simply hang the phone up when they call now...It only pisses them off more...They called me 4 times in a two-minute timespan.  I feel bad for the saps that work for Checksmart...What sorry excuses for upstanding citizens!

stop calling  i got a call from this number on my cell and on my house phone too. the automated message says that they want to confirm a meeting i have with them.  i have no meetings scheduled with anyone.

Bill Tussey is a bald troll with a whitehall special. He is the biggest flamer at that company. I think he manages the dialer team. He called me asking for a reach around. I was very offended. He goes by connor hill. Please call him and tell him he is a fudge packer.

This company called stating that I have to pay a monthly charge for my debit card.  Which is not true.  They wanted me to pay $116.26 to them.  I told them I would verify the information and then give them a call back.  They said if I didn't pay this money that my debit card would be frozen.  The call was from ISS Corporate. When I asked what company this was they told me it was a corporate office for many different companies.  Beware of this company!!!

I found it is a company called Checksmart, they're a cash advance/payday loan operation.  I had a deadbeat sister who used my as a credit reference for them.....now they call relentlessly
