Called my work cell for someone I do not know.  I told them I do not know this person, never knew this person, and had no way of relaying a message for them.  They called back 2 hours later, and are still continuing to call every 20-30 minutes!

I called this number back... it said it was "The Headquarters"...
Other then that... it just seemed like some office...

The first call I received was on 10/12/09 at 8pm from CashOne/CheckSmart (both company names were used).  The caller asked for someone other than myself.  I began asking questions about how he got my number, and he said that the applicant wrote my name and number down as a reference.  I recognzed the applicant to be my cousin but don't know why he would've given out my mobile number.  The caller said he tried to reach my cousin, called me after he couldn't, and wanted me to get my cousin to call back the 866 number.  I spoke with my cousin, who had no idea about CashOne/CheckSmart or how they got my mobile number.  CashOne/CheckSmart called a second time on 10/18/09 at 12pm.  I let it go to voice mail, and they left a voice message to have my cousin call them.  They called a third time on 11/2/2009 at 4:30pm and didn't leave a message.

They just tried to call me again at 1:38pm, missed call and no message.  I guess I'm still on their list even though I shouldn't be.

593 0 882 72691 called me over 20 times today just got one again it is 2:15am did not leave message - many calls are back to back almost as if automated then immediately followed by a blocked call. One time in between it all got a phone call from the checksmart number followed by a blocked call. They must all be related somehow. Ironically I don't even know checksmart is.

They are still calling - got two more calls at around 5:30am

Collectors at this company do not use their real names.  They use an alias name.  If you are getting loans you are better off not getting in a risky loan.  You will be called everyday if you do.  Be smart use the banks instead.

they use an alias name.  it probably it the person you wanted to talk to but use that name to protect themselves from customers coming to see them in person.

I cashed some checks at Checksmart in Ohio.  The first 2 checks that I cashed with them went through fine.  The next set of 2 and the next set of 2 after that bounced.  I was not aware of that when I cashed my next set of two(by the way these were a draw that I pay myself from my business)and those went through with no problems.  What happened with the ones that got returned was that I there was money in my account at the time that I cashed the checks. I did not want to withdrawl the money from my account at the time because I had other things coming through and I didn't want to bounce and I had several deposits that should have hit my account so I thought I would be safe.  Well these deposits never happened and 4 check for the total of $3800 got returned.  I called the manager of the store and told him that these check would be returned and that I would call him to make arrangements to get it taken care of.  I was then contacted by the corporate office and spoke to a Ms. Black.  I told her the situation and she said she really didn't care about what happened, and made arragements with her to pay by the end of the month.  I then got another call from someone who would not give me her name, and told her that I stole their money and it was theft by deception because she said that she was able to go and look at my bank account and said that I never had the money at time I cashed the checks, which is absolutely untrue and had until today to pay the money or they would turn them over to the police.  This lady was extremely rude, nasty (basically a total you know what.)  I told her it was not an intentional thing, but she kept telling me that I never had the money to begin with because she saw my bank account.  I called my bank and asked them if they were legally allowed to go into my bank account and check.  The manager at the bank said "ABSOLUTELY NOT"  they don't even verify anything if they ask because you have to be a signer on the account, so right there was a lie and a total SCARE TACTIC.  I understand that I owe a lot of money, which will get paid, but this company does not want to help in anyway, shape or form.  I got a number for a Mr. Dan Perry who is the supervisor of the check department and even made arrangements with him to pay by the end of the month.  I am still getting calls after making arrangements with the head honcho. Once this is paid off I will NEVER be doing business with this company ever AGAIN.  They do not care about you, or any bad situation that you have gotten into

receive call numerous times a day - believe that they are calling from an unpaid payday advance loan from like check and go or something like that... but I told him I would have the $ into the office by this friday he was very polite and stated he would call the local store office as well... but the local store nor the # listed has stopped calling me... I just don't answer it...

This phone # has called me 4 times today and never leaves a message. I don't know who it is or what they want.

This is "Corporate Office" for Checksmart and Express Payroll.  I had already made arrangements earlier in the day with the location I do business with.  Still received 12 calls at home in a 7 hour period.  The last call I advised I had made arrangements and also filed complaint with FTC and they need to communicate with their "stores".  Also advised her to cease and desist with calls.
