A woman called and left me a message stating that she was from a law firm, something like Cambridge-Huxley and Associates? She informed me there was a petition being filed against me and that either myself or my attorney needed to call back immediately. She gave me a docket number as well.

Received a call at work, on my cell and at my home residence from this #866-376-4180 -  Her name was Christina... Threatening if i didn't call back within 24 hours there would be a petition filed against me.

This is a collection agency (not sure if really a law firm or not - can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet).  This company is a debt buyer.

The collect for CashNet and probably other cash advance companies.. Hope this helps..

My girlfriend recieved several calls last week from the same number. They collect for cashnet and are a debt buyer. They are based out of New York and have not seen letters. If you request a letter, they will email you and include the mini miranda. Their is potential violation of FDCPA by this company.
When we searched Ny Secretary of State, they just filed last week. Beware of this unethical practice in collections. Its folks like this right here that give collectors a bad rap.

They too called my parents' house. I haven't lived there in over 7 years. They threatened to move forward with court proceedings if I don't return their call within 24 hours. Their message stated they are Cambridge Huckley and Associates. I cannot locate them anywhere on the internet.

I too received a call in relation to Cash-Net Account. It was about
Feb 16 from Elizabeth Pool at extension #325 @ 866-878-8873 saying and I kinda forget if she said that a petition has been or will be filed in Ft Lauderdale Court.
I called her back and made arrangements to pay by debit card on 02/27 after 1 pm. She called and said the card was declined.

I in turn gave her the checking account info associated with the card and they were going to do a withdrawal the following Monday. On Fri 03/05 Jodi at ext 324 at 866-376-4180. She said the transaction came back insufficient funds. And Cash Net refused to run the card again and they also said I was stalling. And Guess What? The Money was in the account. And..there were NO Deliquent Hits nor Insf posting on the accont.

I made arrangements to send money order to Cambridge Huxley, 3840 E Robinson Rd Ste 243, Amherst, NY 14228. Why NY, I am in FLA I then spoke to my room mate about it and that raised questions Good thing I listened.

BTW when you call any of the above numbers, the prompts say law office, but does not designate which one. It started to seem fishy when I was given the impression the the "Client" was in the same room or on the other line.

This a continuation of my previous post.

Before Cambridge Huxley received my account, Cash-net sold it to
DMP who in turn sold it to Nat'l Credit Works/Eastern Financial Mgmt.

I assume Cambridge Huxley got it next.
BTW, I was told by them that they were calling on behalf of Cash-Net.

    Strange. Hope this helps

I recieved a call from this number.A woman named Kelly was looking for my dad. She said she was calling form this law firm and same senerio a petition was going to filed against him. I had my dad call her and she had his ss# but had him at a different address and wrong dl #. He suposidly took out a pay day loan on the internet  and was deliqunt on it.They even had a email address for him. The funny thing is my dad has never owned a computer! My dad requested she fax him a copy of the paper work for the police because he is going to file a report of internet identity fraud and she said they can't release that paper work for security reasons.

Received a call at parents house which I have not lived at for 14 years. Told them to send me a copy of the original contract and payment history. The response was that they could not because the reasons were in "the fine print". This so called debt is not on my credit report nor have I received anything via mail. The man I spoke with, told me that Cambridge Huxley and Associates was a law firm. If in fact they were a law firm, they are required as far as I know, to send documents via certified mail. Sounds like this "company" is in violation of every aspect of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA). My advice would be to refuse to speak to them over the phone and have them notify you by mail. One name I did get was JODY CAPITANI.

Rodney Anthony Giove, of Niagara Falls, NY started out associated with a Niagara Falls, NY law firm. He either could not cut it, was fired or likely too inept to practice law. He now can be seen driving his new Range Rover around Niagara Falls LOADED with cash, he makes from his new career renting his law license out as a debt collector.

His new partners; Douglas J. Mackinnon, Mark Bohn and company make up the nucleus of the WORST debt collection organization in America.

It should be made perfectly clear that Rodney is incapable and has NEVER litigated a collection account under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the federal law that regulates debt collectors.  They cannot, they have NO training, and rented law license are NEVER used in a courtroom.

Consumers are warned to stay FAR away from anyone representing to collect a debt for any of these illegal operations. They will NEVER file any lawsuits; there are NO court orders, judgments, wage garnishments, or any other legal proceedings going on, except the ones in their drug induced heads. These sick people should be avoided. They are also desperate to make money, while they still have their freedom.
