I dont think its legit...and i would advise you not to send them anymore of your money...I have been doing collections for many years...and i read aalot of comments in regards to this company because one of my best friends are going through the same thing...There's a law that protects consumers that have past due debts called the FDCPA LAWS...tHIS COMPANY IS NOT A LAW FIRM...and its aganist that law to identify therselves as a law firm...you cannot discuess a debt with a third party meaaning someone other then YOU without your permission...they cannot leave details about a debt on your woice mails...they cannot threaton you to garnish your wadges because if you think of it...pay day loans are not legal...no collection agencies can garnish your wadges...especially for payday loans...what you need to do is keep all of your voice mail messages..and if you can record all the phone calls...and then copontact the attorney general and put in as many complaints and you can...also contact the better business bearu...HOPE I HAVE BEEN SOME HELP TO YOU...GOOD LUCK

Lady by the name of Ms. Jackson from Cambridge Huxley and Assoc. left a very rude message on my house phone. The same rude and nasty message was left on my father's home phone. When I called back, she told me that if I did not pay in full by the next day at 5p.m. they were going to file a petition against me, garnish my wages and prosecute me to the fullest. When I ask for proof, where I even took out this "
pay day loan", she told me I was not allowed to make demands or see proof, in her words "you know you owe money so pay it". How can these people be so rude to call family members and put that burden on them, they don't know any situation anyone is in. I hope they are able to stop these horrible, rude, inconcerate things called "debt collectors"

If, in fact, she DID falsify information, wouldn't it be up to the DA to prosecute or not?

If, in fact, this company is legit, why would they be willing to "work with" a known criminal just to get a few bucks?

You seem to enjoy name calling. Perhaps you are of little intelligence. Obviously you have no morals as from all the information on this company that you are obviously associated with. Why not post your screen name? You can call people all the names you want, but the fact remains that it is YOU that is the LOSER who associates himself with less than  upstanding people. Why would we expect you to act any other way then show your low class name calling. Just because people fall on hard times does not make them losers. At least we don't asociate with shall I say "shady" people who may or may not have criminal records.

These people have called my phone caliming to file a "petition" in the county I live in on my phone at least 100 times in the last 2 months, they have called my kids, my parents, my ex-inlaws, my ex-wife, my ex wifes ex boyfriend, my neighbors and my ex employer.

Just this week they have begun telling people that I am going to jail if I don't respond to them, they are filing a half a million dollar lawsuit against me....LMFAO!

The debt is for a truck that was repossessed and the debt was discharged by bankruptcy so there is no debt owing.

They have been told dozens of times to stop calling me or anyone associated with me.  yet they continue to call and make threats.....

I have contacted a lawyer and am considering suing THEM for the continued harrassment.

You probably work for this company smarty.  Shouldn't make it obvious.  I don't owe any outstanding debt like the other that have posted.  So when I got a call looking for my husband, I was very surprised.  I found it funny how they made these treats that I knew were not ethical and the man would not even say who he was collecting for.  I am a regulatory affairs professional and know that the treats he was making were not according to the legal process.  Their tactics are not legal and using scare methods to collect money.  Below a certain amount of money would not make it into court.  It is very important to have everything in documentation.  Make them send you in writing what is being collected and why.  Even if you owe, protect yourself.  They run there operation like an illegal gang shop.  If they call you are make treats, ask for there address or fax number so you can send them a letter stating that they may only contact you through mail.  There are laws to protect the consumer, especially at times when the economy is hard.  Remeber, they can say anything they want until they are caught and fined by government.  Everyone should file a complaint against this agency to their local government and any other agency.  Don't believe what they say until it is in writing!  When they call, tell them they may not call again and end the conversation.  Tell them to send whatever they have through the mail.

I don't owe any outstanding debt like the other that have posted.  So when I got a call, I was very surprised.  I found it funny how they made these treats that I knew were not ethical and the man would not even say who he was collecting for.  I just bought a house last year and had my credit completely examined and nothing showed of any outstanding debt.

My husband called them back and told them they could not contact us by phone anymore.  The guy got really ticked because my husband kept laughing at him and pointing out how he knew he was just making treats.  The whole time, he never said who he was representing or how much.  You should never give finanical information to anyone over a phone!

You may not owe the debt.  I was called and didn't owe anything.  He just made threats, but would not say who he was collecting for.  I advice, if you owe something, then pay to the place directly.  This group sounds like a scam.  How can you trust they will apply it and not resell your collection to someone else.  They are not a law office.  They are just liars.

I agree but want to add.  If you want it off your credit, just send letters directly to the credit bureau contesting what is on your credit every month until it is off.  Everytime you contest something on your credit, they send it to the place that put it on there.  They have to respond bad to say it is valid.  Eventually, it falls off.

Welcome to having a democrate in office!  The negative posts saying it is legit are people that work for this corrupt company.  What they are doing it not legal.  If it is, tell them that you are going to record their conversation and see how they respond.  Then ask them to send you a document stating everything they say to you.  They won't do it because it is a scam!!!

You sure know a lot about this group.  Why don't you get a real job instead of scamming people into sending money loser.  By the way, anyone can become an attorney.  The biggest cons are attorneys.  Don't be easily treated by these jokers.

Tell them to stop calling and that they may only contact through mail.  Also let them know that they may only contact you and know one else.  Read on page two for additional sites to go to to file complaint.  Read about your legal rights within your state.  Overall, they are overstepping what they are allowed to do.  They are just low lifes that hate themselves, so they are enjoy trying to make others miserable.  They called me and I don't have any debt in collection.  They wouldn't even say who it was for.  I read more about these crooks and they have a horrible reputation.  The people calling probably are uneducated people that barely make themselves.

Get their address and send them a certified letter stating that they may not contact anyone else except you through mail.  Send this letter also the NY customer complaint committee, in addition to your state government complaint office.  Start documenting every time they call and what they say.  Document EVERYTHING!  Read online about your rights.  They ar harrassing you and if you document and can prove it, they are burned.
