I get calls from this number on my cell phone.  They never leave a voice mail and sometimes don't answer if I pick up the call.  If it is Sprint, why in the world would they drive away people from there own business?

I called Sprint after one of these calls, and the representative said they do have an outbound call center that makes these offers.  The plan the caller had offered me is one of the Sprint/Nextel plans, so she said it probably is them calling.  You can just request not to be called with offers, though.

Caller is foreign and asking for my son, who owns my Sprint phone as well as his,on same plan, and he pays the bills.
This is 2nd call in 2 days, and I have asked to be taken off the call list. I do not provide my son's number when asked for it,just telling them if they are from Sprint to ask Sprint for it.

I've gotten a call almost every day for the past three weeks from this number. You have to wait at least five seconds after you pick up for a person to respond. They claim to be Sprint, and have tried to talk to me about upgrading my plan. Always it starts with "Do you know how many minutes you are currently using each month?"

I asked them where they were calling from and they said Manila, Philippines. Then I asked them never to call back, but to my frustration, they still do.

I just received a call from this number and answered and spoke with some lady who I could barely understand but she said she was with Sprint/Nextel, and she said you have only one phone line correct, and I said no I have two..leading me to believe it really wasn't them, since I'd assume my phone company would know how many phones I have and how much I spend on a bill and after they asked how much my phone bill was they were asking something else but I just hung up figuring it was a scam of some sort.
If I need new features I can call my phone company my damn self, thanks.

You can't just ask these third party vendors to quit calling you.  You have to actually notify Sprint/Nextel that you do not want to be included in any further communications.  I recently them at OfficeOfPrivacy@sprint.com regarding this number, and this is the reply I got.

"Thank you for contacting Sprint Nextel. We have processed your Do Not Contact request. Once your name is added to a Sprint Do Not Contact list, communications using that contact method should stop. If your name is already included in an existing marketing campaign when a request was made to be added to the Do Not Contact list, there is a possibility that you may be contacted during the time it takes to process the request not to be contacted by Sprint. Please allow 30 days for all Sprint campaigns to be updated with your privacy preference.

    We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for contacting the Office of Privacy.
    Sprint Nextel"

Also note, even if your number is included in any State or National "Do not call" registries, companies with which you are already affiliated may still call you.  i.e., You have a Sprint phone or contract, they can still call you (unless you contact their office of privacy).

Been receiving calls on my cell from 866-463-3021 fro the past 2 weeks.
Usually I don't answer or when I do, no one says anything.
Today I answered and some [***] sounding like a [***] with a phony spanish accent identified himself and asked to speak to me.  (Name withheld).
Told this moron he had the wrong number and still he continued.
What a fool.  I hope he continues so that I can recipicate in kind.
I suggest everyone receiving call from this idiot should spread this number on every web sight (espc. criminal ones) that ask for your number.
    Time to turn the tables..

I have recieved a call from this same number more than a few times over the past couple of weeks.  Found this thread on the internet, and I was not going to comment, because I had nothing useful to contribute.

...Then I read the comment by JB...

Dude, seriously, it's probably poor judgement for you to call someone a "moron" and a "fool" in the same text as you are using a naive (or idiotic, or foolish, or [***]-ish), racist term like "[***]".  You just make yourself look foolish.  Oh, and another thing that makes you look less than stellar in the viable brain-cell quantity department is your usage of the invalid word "recipicate".  Good call on that one, numb-nuts.  By the way, I'm white, so I'm not defending my people or anything.  Simply defending the human race.

This is the first time I received a call from this number. Luckily I didn't pick up.  I'm glad to see the notes above so I can stop them in their tracks. Rat [***]. Humph.

I have been inundated with calls from this number as well. Today, I called Sprint Customer Svc and they confirmed that it belongs to them. I have told them that I can use this to break my contract if they continue calling despite my request to take me off their list. They promptly added my number to their DNC call list. I have also added my # to the FTC's site. What a pain these cell phone companies are!!!

I just received a call from the same number, (866-463-3021),but I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number - they did not leave a message.  When I called the number, it was a recording thanking me for returning Sprint's call and the reason for the call was to see if I wanted to purchase additional add-on services or to add another line.  I'm not certain Sprint even does this type of tele-marketing.  Regardless, I'm not purchasing anything from them. And yes, I do use Sprint as my carrier.  The next time I have a reason to call them, I'll ask about this number and if it's legit. Ever since they merged with Nextel, things have gotten weird.

Got a call from this number today. They were trying to talk to me about the cell phone account. I knew what this was because I had received a few calls from a different number a few months ago. I dealt with a foreign lady trying to get me to sign up for a different sprint plan and was promised a new line and free cell phones. When I said I needed to talk to my wife I would get back with her she insisted that I talked to my wife right then while she was still on the phone. I told her I wasn't going to do that and she could call me back in half an hour. She said she couldn't call back so I told her I wasn't interested and hung up. Low and behold I received a call back from her a few minutes later. When I looked up that number I basically got that it was a scam where they try to switch you from your current cell phone provider by getting all of your info for this "plan" and they open an account under whatever company they work for
