Tired of receiving calls from Stevens, Michaels and Associates and then denying they called!

They called me, also my work stating have papers to serve.  I haven't had anything owed since 2009.  They have even called my ex of 10years.  How do they get the information

I just called them back.  They are a debt collector. However, I've had this number for close to five years an they're looking for someone I don't know.  So either "Judy Glidewell" had this number before me and their records are just really out of date or Judy Glidewell is putting this number on things.

They could be calling an outdated number. I went through this with past numbers. The majority of the time I could not get them to stop calling.

These people call me as well.  They are a collection agency. Although I won't verify any information with them the debt they say I owe is a hospital bill...and I know I owe it..the original bill was from the hospital who sent it to collections who then sold it...if I had the money to pay it I would have paid it before it went to collections..duh!!!

Will not stop calling 24 seven

It is a scam.  Period.  They have called me several times, never leave a message, called my 80 year old mother and harassed her.  It's ridiculous!  And, I don't have unpaid debt.....IT'S A SCAM!!!

That person posted here in 2009, 7 years ago.  He is one of the many losers who come here to try to berate honest people who owe no debt or to make it sound like the crooks they work for are legitimate.  They fail every time.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Junk debt buyers looking for my roommate from 1997. That's right. 1997. almost 20 years ago. No idea where she went off to, but that was hilarious.

Number appeared in caller ID of my work phone. Two-second call, with no message left. Wrong number? Crank call? Who knows - if it's a collection agency, they're barking up the wrong tree.

I have no reason for collection. They can send me a letter

They call asking  for C.H Mason to donate money he stole.
