These people are really annoying. (866-812-6662)  Can something be done to stop their calls?  Is a class action lawsuit possible?

Just received a call from a person from Amerigroup Mortgage.  I told him that I was on the Do Not call list, and he said that he just makes the calls he's told to make.  He was cordial and when I asked for the name, phone number, and address of the company He said it was Amerigroup (I'm not sure if he said mortgage afterwards, I don't think he said so--I only know so because I looked up the company on the Internet), with a phone number of 800-891-6678 and an address of: 6090 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, FL, 33710..

I asked to be placed on the do not call list and he transferred me to a supervisor.  When I pointed out that I was on the national do not call list, the supervisor said that the call was not a sales call and therefore was not subject to the do not call list.

Received calls from 866-812662 (Ameri Group Mortgage). Would like these calls to stop asap! These calls are extremely annoying. My philosophy is that: If I did not give you my number-- I will not answer period. Thank you for your assistance and consideration.

This information might help.  I've been looking into this company as I too have been getting harrassed by these idiots.  Same M.O. as discribed above.

We have asked this company on several occasions to please remove us from the call this. We are not interested in their products. We are still receiving at least 1 call per day.

I just had a nice little show down with this group.  I have had multiple calls, I also have called ID.  I informed the first caller to take my number off the list and they want me to talk to a supervisor.  BY LAW, all I have to do is inform the person on the phone, to take my name off their list.  They told me I needed to speak to a supervisor...4 times, I hung up before I got a supervisor even after I informed them of the law, this time I spoke to supervisor and bitched him out, poor guy...not to happy with me afterward...lol  I highly  suggest you make a complaint to your states attorney's office int he very least the FCC...

I work there, im not sure what the componay dose outside of our office but i can assure you the calls are picked from a computer and even if the person on the other end of the phone marks you as "do not call" the computer will call you again regardless. It's not the receptionest fault your being called. We have no controll over this, and are not given any information about what the company actually dose other than lower 4.0 and up interest rates via refinancing.

Called VA today explained to them that I am 100% disabled and have cancer and that these people are calling 3-4x a day they took all the info and said that they will get to the bottom of this I told them my caller said he was from the VA they said that was a crime i also suggest that if you go to a VA hospital or clinic there are boards that yo can post things on POST THEIR # short exp of what they do and that they are a scam interest rate as hhigh as 10-18% after fisrt year

file a complaint with BBB or Florida attorney general

This company has been calling my house several times a week. I just filed a complaint with www.donotcall.gov which investigates these issues. My previous complaints about other phone numbers have been handled well. I encourage you to file a complaint, too, if you are experiencing the same problems with Mortgage Investors Corp.

I also tried to speak to a representative there and he kept trying to sell me a mortgage while I was trying to express my concerns about the harassing phone calls -- unbelievable!!!

I will not comment on anyone's experience or whether I think that you made a mistake. What I will do is tell you mine; I have gotten daily phone calls from these people, sometimes 3 a day for the last couple of months. I tell them I am not interested and to take me off their list and they keep calling. I don't care if they want to pay off my house and owe them nothing. If I tell you that I am not interested, LEAVE ME ALONE!! I did not serve 22 years in the Army with multiple combat tours to come home and be harassed by some group pretending to care about Veterans. Just got off the phone with these [***] as I have been getting the numerous calls to. Some BS mortgage company trying to tell me about my "VA benefits". Which I am already well aware of don't need some civvie company digging into my business in those matters.

After a good tongue lashing in a very irritated voice, and talking to a "supervisor" who would "authorize" the sales rep to take me off their list, we will see if it sticks. There might have been a few less than civil words thrown their way, but oh well. They got the message.

I received a call during the month from this number but did not answer. I finaly go tired of the calls and called back. They were ided as Mortgage Investors Corp. I requested to be taken off of the calling list, the supervisor assured me it would be done, A few weeks later i get the same call. I informed the rep that I didnot request the call. I then asked how they obtained my name and number. She was unable to answer. I then spoke with a supervisor and asked him the same. All he could say is we have a list. he could not answer my question. I have a right to know how my name was obtained, I am on the Texas and Federal do not call list. Yet my rights have been compleately ignored. When I searched the company name on the internet I find it is a shell company for a list of other morgage companies. I find my treatment unethical and a violation of my rights. The rights that I as a veteran have spent 20 yrs protecting and defending. It also seams to be a violation of trust. I do not know how my name and number were obtained but it was given to those I do not know. What I have stated is true and factual. This call was palced by me to them at 8/31/11 08 15 pm for the purpose of finding out who what why and how.

I have been getting these calls, the hang-ups, no message, etc. since June! I get calls at all hours. Fortunately, I blocked their number, but still have to delete their annoying call from my call list on my cell. I detest scum like this! I do like the idea of calling them and doing the same. "Hey! I'm a schmuck and want to waste your time and scam you!" Grrrr!

These people have called me every day for the past 6 days - usually while I am in class, but always around the same time. I never answer, and they never leave a message. 2 days ago I call them back and speak to "David", requesting that they stop calling me. He said he put in the order, or whatever it is they do. Nothing has changed. I answered the phone today when they called, but they hung up. I called back, explained that this will be the second time I have to request that they not call my number anymore, and the guy says "Let me see what I can do." That's not very reassuring...

Untrue.  According to the DNC list; someone who handles these solicitations for mortgage business (making you a solicitor) has to manually enter the number on the DNC list.  Therefore, you are breaking federal law.  You see, I do not do business with:
1.  Anyone who breaks the law
2.  Any solicicitor of any type
3.  Anyone who ignores my request that I not be bothered in my home, by calls on a phone I pay for for my use, not the use of ILLEGAL SOLICITORS.
So, "Sadface", I have a "happy face" each time I hang up on your calls.  And, I will have a LMAO face when I blow an air horn in the ear of the next ILLEGAL SOLICITOR calls me.  And that person will have a "Sadface."

According to the DNC list info,  once you enter your number no solicitors may call unless they are a charity (which this company is not), a political group (which this company is not) survey companies (which this company is not) or a company with which you have established a business relationship (which this company is not.)   At this company, which is currently making ILLEGAL SOLICITATIONS and harassing veterans,  someone would have to manually remove the number or block the robo dialer from calling these numbers to which you are making solictiatons for mortgage business (making you a solicitor).
