Never leave voice mail....  Called my office today.... NOT HAPPY

Waiting for a call from my HMO regarding surgery and making plans with a friend who will take me there.  And, I get this call -- Again.  Very frustrating.  I do not owe anyone, except for one credit card and pay it off thru my bank.  I figure they are calling someone who had my number before I got it or they are just phishing.  The one time I answered, got a woman who got very angry with me because I told her to remove this number from her list.  It is as though the callers are monitoring my phone and call at the worst times.

If you truly know what you are talking about, you would know that it is not HIPPA, but HIPAA. Thank you for proving this is a scam.

Neither HIPPA nor HIPAA has anything to do with the collection of debt. That is covered under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Disability payments can't be taken, anyone who says they can must be a debt collector trying scare someone into paying a debt that probably already exceeded the statute of limitations time frame.

Message left was " to collect a debt".  It's a scam.  AVOID.

Debt collector, called speaking clear English, asked for employee by first and last name.   Placed on hold.  She hung up.

I became suspicious after, I answered a phone call from their automated voice system and it said if you are not such and such, please press some digit and I did this.  I still get this call today, left on my voicemail asking for someone I know.  But it mentions, do not listen to this message if you are not such and such.  I will be more aware of what phone number these people are calling from going forward and block them.  Even if they are calling from different phone numbers.

This number is a real collection agency (Medical Revenue Service) Po box 938 in Vero Beach, FL 32961.  The hospital where I have a financial assistance plan account, making a payment every month, not missed one payment turned my bill over to this agency. Why you may ask. Because I did not call the billing department and tell them to add the bill to my account. Which I think this is not my job. It would be like calling all your utility companies and give them permission to send you your monthly bills. If I have to call in every single hospital bill, then I should be getting part of someones paycheck. Caller ID shows toll free call.  Machine picked up and it's like they listened for five seconds and hung up, no message.

So, ok its a legitimate NUMBER, but it sounds to me like your caller wasn't a legitimate caller.
If you are current on your Bills, doesn't it raise a red flag that your being called from Debt Collections?

It might not be your job to check that the Billing dept is using the correct account, but the ONLY one who can do the job of making sure a scammer doesn't steal your money is you.

These people have been calling us at least twice a day for the past few months.  There is never anyone where when we answer.  The caller ID says "Medical Data Systems."  No idea who this is.  These nonstop calls are totally unacceptable and they are likely scammers.  They have even called on Saturday and Sunday nights.  We finally blocked the number.

Call and just keep saying my name over and over and won’t leave message.  I have Cancer and lost my hearing so unwanted calls are very annoying.  Can’t block on my home phone😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
