Rude, unkind lady called my neighbor to speak with my husband!  I called the number back but she, rudely, refused to speak to me citing SC law of sorts which forbids her speaking with me without his permission!  How then was she able to speak to our neighbor?

This number is calling my phone on a random basis but I refuse to answer it.

from my understanding no they cant take your disabilty money unless it for a goverment  debt like school loans and taxes

This is number is for Medical Data Systems... debt collectors for medical bills. They have called my home phone number (which we have owned for 15+ years) twice in the past two weeks. Each time asking for two different people. The first time when I told the woman no one lived here by that name, she said "I will have the number blocked." Well, they called our number again today asking for someone else. Somehow they have gotten our number in their system and are apparently calling asking for random people that owe money. Our number is associated with a business and businesses are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry. This must be their loophole. I called by the 866-861-5848 number and the woman answered "business office". She spoke very quickly and tried to dismiss my call. When I firmly asked her to listen to me, she did. She asked for my number and immediately told me it was "not in the system". That there is no way she could have typed it into "a system" and gotten a search result back. She again told me she would "block" the number. I seriously doubt that will happen. I have a feeling that I will get more calls for random people and there's not much I can do about it other than ease the minds of others who are getting these calls.

Had the misfortune to speak with this constipated, Ill-mannered, warden-esque........female today who asked for someone I've never heard of.  Explained I'd had this number for 14 years and didn't know (......).  Apparently not good enough for Her-Royal-Rudeness..........  Save yourself some aggravation and block the number!

Calling for money for a bill from a deceased family member.

Call from this number a few minutes ago.  Lady asked for me by name.   After I confirmed it was me, she gave my Birth Date & asked me to confirm the year "for verification purposes".  I am not in the habit of giving that out to people that call unsolicited, so I refused.   I did confirm she had the month & date correct.    She hung up.

Based on other comments, I am sure this is about a Medical Bill, but I think I am current with all such expenses.  

I am not comfortable with volunteering any information over the phone.  I am NOT going to call them back.

Yes, this is "Medical Revenue Recovery" a division of a company with the name "Health Care Practice Partners" .. they are a health care billing and medical debt collection company.

Don't beat you head agasint the wall by asking the person who telephones to stop calling you, it won't work.

If you want them to stop calling, Google either name, find their corporate phone number and call that number and ask them to stop calling you.  The 1st time I called they denied they were a collection agency .. the 3rd time I called they said, "we have work to do here, stop calling us" .. the 4th time I called they put me though to someone who said they would stop calling me .. no calls from them since !!

Lady asked for William Spencer, and said her name was Rachel, "they all say their name is Rachel". Caller didn't say what they wanted. My father's name is William Spencer also. I don't have debt.

Here is the website letting you know the heads of the companies phone number and email addresses. These people constantly call 3+ times a day and also call my work 3+ times a day have told them to stop and they just don't listen guess next step is sending a certified letter to them so I don't loose my job. Sad that people have nothing better to do than to harass you all day long and when you try to settle with them all the sudden they don't take payments by mail!!! So sorry not giving my bank account info to them!!!!

These people keep calling for someone who does not live in my house, These people need to stop. They need to do some up dates and stop harrasing people.

So glad I decided to google this company. I thought it strange they never gave their number yesterday when they called me at work. I was about to set up a payment through my online banking when I realized she never gave me a phone number.

Called repeatedly, call sometimes after 10 pm. How can a legit company not accept payments in the mail? Afraid it'll be a cease and desist instead i guess. I'm putting in a BBB complaint then going to the FTC and Florida state offices, suggest everyone who posted here do the same.

I called them and they will not take my money!  I know it is 2012 and that is why I will write a check so I will have proof that this bill was paid in full.  I can't believe that the only way to pay is over the phone.  Unbelievable attitude and threats to put it on my credit if I don't pay over the phone today? They claim to be a federal agency? I have no idea what that means except another threat.  They look like frauds if they refuse to my money in any manner.  I think I will pay the hospital and let the collections people get it from them!   I am flabergased by the treatment.   They lied as well,  told me they mailed me something and they did not!  Thanks for your assistance Robin. Not.  I just want to pay?   By mail!!!

Just received a call from this #, no msg was left, called it back, a woman answered, said "thank you for calling business offices, how can i help you?", exclaimed that they have called a business several times and no msg was left, she said "ok, i will remove your number"

I used to get calls all hours of the day or night for someone I never even knew.  I kept telling them I didn't even know that person, no luck.  I demanded they remove the number from their list, they always said they would.  It never happened.  I got calls even in the middle of the night!  So finally one day, they called when I was in one of those funny moods.  I had time, a bluetooth, and was on the road.  I said something like, "I don't know the person you are calling for and I am getting sick and tired of you calling and calling and calling and calling" ...  Yep, you get it.  I kept on saying and calling until they hung up and I have never heard from them since.
