What I find even funnier is 1. How you yelled through your whole message with all the capitalization throughout your message 2.  Nice how you represent your company, yet show how ignorant you are with all the misspellings.  3.  You make such good money, yet have nothing better to do than to come on this site to scream at how hard people make your job.  If it wasn't for debts having to be collected, your misspelling ignorant a** wouldnt have a job now would you???? lol

Having worked in collections 3rd party credit card, ist party and commercial I believe when I say you that your reponse was rude to the lady below me.

Dealing with professional debters is one thing but to be rude by say "PICK UP THE PHONE" well that just doesn't get it with me, there is a reason for caller ID now days and screening calls, so as a COLLECTION AGENCY get off your high horse and use some customer service skills FIRST. No wonder collections has and still has a bad name after all these years, if you put a little customer service in there instead of the hard selling PAY ME NOW crap you might get somewhere.

And since you decided to post on the fourm that means you care about what people say about you, go down the list and see how many NICE things they have said compare to the others who didn't.

    No Message Ever
Been getting calls from all of the assorted numbers Portfolio Recovery uses for the last year. They call from different numbers with different area codes. I've recieved up to four calls a day. I screen my calls and don't normally call anybody back who cannot leave a message. They've never left a message. I did try to pick up a couple of times but there was no one on the line. Tried calling one of their numbers back before and could not get through. No idea why they are contacting me.

Today, Belinda Carl called my parent's home and said she needed to get in touch with me. Told them that she was handling some personal business for me and needed me to call her to update my personal information. She did not identify what company she worked for. Nice of them to call my parents at 8:30am on a Saturday morning. They didn't give her any information. Not sure why PR called them when they already have my cell phone. My voicemail gives my name so PR should know it is a valid number. Is it really that hard to leave a voicemail? Just tell me who you are and what you are calling about. You could also send something in the mail.

    TO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED
Easy solution to an annoying problem, if u pay for ur minutes send to voicemail, wait til 7 or 9 pm when it's free delete the message before listening to it, if u have unlimited minutes answer ur phone and simply hang up so they can't leave a message at all, if they call restricted or unknown block or restrict them so they can't get thru at all....and if worse comes to worst start calling them at work all day and simply talk about everything on your mind, talk about your kids, talk about your period, talk about the people that keeps calling your phone all day, talk about your problems, talk about your boyfriend, talk about dinner, talk about ur neighbors dogs, talk about people that talk on their cell phones hold up traffic just keep talking, and everytime they call you talk about everything but what they wanna talk about, whatever you do never let them talk over you it's annoying eventually they'll hang up....

These guys are trying to collect a debt I originally had with Montgomery Ward. Capital One bought this debt back in 2000 and made an offer to me to pay the debt off in exchange for a credit limit in the same dollar amount as the debt. I paid it off and CapOne offered me an unsecured card. These guys are trying to have me pay that same debt AGAIN!

If your so worried about your spelling maybe you should learn to spell. It's not that hard, and if your just not able, your computer is. Now, on the topic. When it comes to paying your bills I would agree on a persons obligation, most people do. The problem however is much bigger than a few dead beats. We have people because of unforseen events that cannot pay, and a system that penalizes people at such a rate that they cannot recover. Its criminal, and its wrong. We have establishments that refuse peoples money because they want more at once, and often its just so they can add more to the bill. We have a court system that almost NEVER finds people even in the worst situations indingent anymore, siding with big business and banks because of taxation and revenue (and probably a little campaign contribution at voting time). We have a federal government that has no problem spending every bit of our tax money to bail out these same fat cats and banks because they profit. Those entities, dispite getting the money that could have been used to safeguard the commonwealth then proceed with their attack on the people, taking away homes half paid for, taking back cars, seizing bank accounts, and adding huge amounts in interest and penalties to a people already on the brink of collapse. These people end up with what has aready been paid in, your property, your tax dollars, and then whatever they decide to milk you for after that. If you suport that you are either one of them, or just a damn fool. by your spelling I'd say the latter, and have no Idea what moral is.

Wow....listen to this disgruntled employee that hates their jo... Yes they are cowards and don give any information because they know they cant do anything except intimidate people with their meager job at a collection agency. I love it when these people try to bully you into paying , if you ever do always negotiate and get it in writing , but most importantly always check the dates and be aware of the dates that this account that they are after you for. Statute of limitation laws are a beautiful thing... if they are past that statute date all they can do is harass you. Also remember if you ever sent any payment big or small on a payment plan it automatically renews that statute date so be careful folks. Another note you don't have to call to find out who they are most of the time you do a Google search with number in the search area.

Hey John, use the internet as your guide and shield against these Johnny come lately'ss . Here is a simple diagram that is noting states and statutes of limitations on credit card debt:State    Statute of Limitations    State    Statute of Limitations:

Alabama    6 Years    Montana    8 Years
Alaska    3 Years    Nebraska    5 Years
Arizona    6 Years    Nevada    6 Years
Arkansas    5 Years    New Hampshire    3 Years
California    4 Years    New Jersey    6 Years
Colorado    6 Years    New Mexico    6 Years
Connecticut    6 Years    New York    6 Years
Delaware    6 Years    North Carolina    3 Years
District of Columbia    3 Years    North Dakota    6 Years
Florida    5 Years    Ohio    15 Years
Georgia    6 Years    Oklahoma    5 Years
Hawaii    6 Years    Oregon    6 Years
Idaho    5 Years    Pennsylvania    4 Years
Illinois    10 Years    Rhode Island    10 Years
Indiana    10 Years    South Carolina    3 Years
Iowa    10 Years    South Dakota    6 Years
Kansas    5 Years    Tennessee    6 Years
Kentucky    15 Years    Texas    4 Years
Louisiana    10 Years    Utah    6 Years
Maine    6 Years    Vermont    6 Years
Maryland    3 Years    Virginia    5 Years
Massachusetts    6 Years    Washington    6 Years
Michigan    6 Years    West Virginia    10 Years
Minnesota    6 Years    Wisconsin    6 Years
Mississippi    3 Years    Wyoming    10 Years
    Missouri    10 Years

Now remember read your contract carefully because certain states can have amendments and endorsements that can be to their benefit.  Now if your are ok as far as your contract goes then the statute of limitations have run out. Whatever you do do not send them any money if the statute has run as it will renew this statute date (starting the 4 yr clock again if in Cali). Speak to this person have them verify the date versus your records (because they like to up the date sometimes) and then let them  confirm the dates , if all is in order in your favor then you can either threaten them with counter suit for the amount iof the harassment continues. I am not a lawyer just suggesting ideas from what I have read and learned from the consumer side.
