calling for my daughter making threats of summoning her work will not identify self

It's Providian Bank. They've been calling me saying they're suing me for $2,000 on a credit card I never had with them.

They called my mother in law's house and left a message that I was about to be summoned and was going to jail if I didn't call them back.  They said I had a Providian Credit Card from 2001 and if I didn't settle with them over the phone, they were going to send it to the District Attorney for a breach in contract.  They said they would give me all the written documentation after I paid them.  I have never had a Providian card.

They are idiots, file with the FCC and all calls will stop

Isn't against the law to threaten someone the way they do?  Already filed a complaint.  Can they not be put out of business - jail is too good for these morons!

Called my Ex-Wife, Ex-Mother-In-Law... Making threats.  I'd love to turn them in but I'm not sure to who and under what heading.  Personally, I'd rather have them skinned alive.

People are calling my ex-wife and threatening a law suit against me. Claims his name was "Investigator Jefferson".  Please tell me under which heading to file the complaint with the FCC and I'll be more than happy to do so.

first some guy caledl a relative claiming that there is a warrant for my arrest. when i called to speak to him he was "unavailable". spoke to "james kelly" who got irate, attempted to insult me, offered his home address so i can meet him - which turns out to be bogus, claims they are suing me, wouldn't give me their address so my attorney can correspond with them, tried to record the call only while getting to his talking points, refused to send me any documentation of the phone call, then hung up on me twice. such cowards.

just got off the phone with a friend who knows someone at the state aty ofice, this is the way to go, i told her 3 times a was taping the conversation she kept talking, would not give an address,would not she state she would keep calling , she even called back after i ask her to stop,,lol,, , thats her problem in court,file with the state.

How do I file with FCC?

Caller left me a message identifying herself as investigator Jefferson. She said I needed to phone her wihin 24 hours or a summons would be issued. I just saw a special about this on 48hrs or a similar program about these debt collectors REALLY crossing serious boundaries to collect money.
Anyone who may be concerned, credit card debt is an unsecured loan. Any creditor would have to take you to court to TRY and get their money. If it ever went that far, which is highly unlikely, if you told the judge you could only afford a dollar, he/she would honor that. REMEMBER people, pay your mortgae FIRST, before any credit card bills. Also, they FAA has told me anyone can buy old notes and try to collect money. After 4 years, credit card debt never acknowlegged is usually null and void if the initial creditor never tried to collect. If your unsure.....call Suze Orman!

I got a call like this from the same number 866-949-9484 ext 132 John Smith (sounds like crap to me). They refused to talk when I told them I was recording the call.  I called back and spoke to Ms. Campbell and taped her without telling her. She looked me up by case number- they say they are a law firm of Frederick, Goldstein and Roe.  I have a tape of the call. Sounds like a scam to me.  How do you complain to the FCC - the phone company would not help.

They finally acknowledged they had a wrong SSN number and that it was not me they were looking for. I have a tape recording that they will not call me again- they get real nervous and hang up once you say your taping them!

I just received the same call less than 5 minutes ago.  I've never been with Providian Bank (ever). And, I'm Not late on ANYTHING.
