called me at 6:50pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.  I was in the store buying some thing before going to church.  someone called and said they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest for failure to appear in a court case.  i told them if this is a prank call it is not funny and i did not appreciate it.  he then transferred me to Jeffery McCall who said he was from a law firm and i had a credit card debt. i explained to him i did not and he said he was going to write this down as a refusal to pay and dispute and they were going to sign something against me so that the sheriff could bring me some kind of papers, said this was my only notification apparently this originated from an Orchard Bank he says it's local, but we don't have an orchard bank i've never heard of an orchard bank

Received a call from them today talking about taking legal action against me, etc.  the same messages everyone else has gotten.

I'm not even calling them back because they have contacted me a few weeks ago using this number: 866/949-9516.  I checked the info they grudgingly gave me and none of it checked out and things like zip/city didn't match, etc.

My neighbor came to my door this morning saying these people had called her several times looking for me.  They gave her a case number and told her it was very important that I contact them regarding a civil case against me.  I do not even know my neighbor beyond saying hi and light passing conversation.  I don't even know her name.  When she called them back, they gave her my name, address and some case number and asked her to contact me.  I have never been contacted by these people before.  I have no idea why they are calling.  I immediately googled the number and found this site.  I've filed a complaint with the FTC.  phone number 1-866-949-9484 x132

    Tired of these calls...
I have been getting threatening calls from this phone number for about six weeks. Investigator "Kane" states that if I don't resolve this matter by today (6.3.2009), she will send the sheriff's deputy with a summons to my place of residence and/or employment (I am currently unemployed; and we don't have sheriff's in my county). She gives me a six digit case number, which does not match the way case numbers are written in my state.

I have not answered the phone calls since the first time they called. I asked to speak to her Supervisor on that first instance, and advised the "supervisor" that I felt this was a scam, and that if in case this was real, to send me some kind of official literature via USPS to the address they have on file. He said OK, but of course nothing came in.

They keep on insisting that they can only fax.

Is there any truth to any of this?

DONT PAY THEM ANYTHING.  They are trying to scare people into giving them money.

No.1 they are violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices by threatening people with law suits and by telling family members (they contacted my sister and mother in law).  The statute of limitations on credit cards runs between 3 and 6 years. If its past that, they cannot collect, but they won't tell you.  If you pay any amount, even one cent, the statute of limitations begins again and then they CAN go after you.

Tell them you know your rights under the FDCPA and you are contacting the FTC and the state attorney general (Andrew Cuomo) of NY and the attorney general of your state

They are not located at 41 Bristol St Canadaigua NY 14424 or 44 either. These are fake addresses. The company is Graham, Noble & Associates.
They are run by Omar L. Smith. They are located on the East Side of Buffalo and should not be paid or listened to.

If you have been contacted by them file a complaint with the Attorney General of New York State in Buffalo. Then file a complaint with the FTC.
The more complaints the easier it is to file a law suit and put them in jail and out of business.

This is his address and phone number:

    60 WESTON AVE
    BUFFALO, NY 14215-3333

received call from this number looking for a relative. In answering this 866 call it open a door which gave them info sufficient to call my ex-husband... I did ask them not to call this number again, but I will report them. This is a scam - report to http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel19.shtm> Consumer Protection> Facts for consumer. When you answer the call it opens a door for them to get other information on you.. don't answer the phone if you do not know the number...you can also add your number to do not call registry: https://www.donotcall.gov/ - gave you enough info... pass it on and let's stop this people.

Received a call from them yesterday (06/17/09).  They asked for my daughter, and then said they were looking for my son-in-law's ex-wife, from whom he has been divorced for over 10 years, when I explained that my daughter was not at home.  They asked for my daughter by name even!  Based on what I have read here, I filed a complaint with the FTC this morning

These are the lowest form of scum there can be. They left a message on my dad's phone looking for me. I called them to see what this was concerning. The man got very rude and ugly with me to start with when I wouldn't confirm my SS#. I told him I didn't give personal information out unless I knew who I was speaking to and what it was about. He finally told me it was concerniong a debt I owed to Exxon. First of all I have never done business with Exxon. I filed a complaint with the FTC and I sent them a letter requesting they not call me or family or friends of mine again. There are strong Federal laws protecting people from firms such as this. Please EVERBODY who ever gets a call from scum like this know that there are ways to stop people like this and it is simple to do. Please take the time to report these kind of people and we can put a stop to them. Nobody should call anyone and talk to them like they do.

I received a call on June 16th and the caller called my house and cell phone as well as my mother's house where I was living when I opened the account in question. It made me nerveous and they threatened me with a summons and was very presistant so I gave hem the info for a postdated check. But I couldnt sleep. It has been over 7 years so I was curious.Plus the spelling of Fredrick's got me thinking. Who has an apostrophe in there name? I couldnt sleep so I called 411 with no luck. I then googled the name and came across this site. I immediately closed my account and I called and confronted the company. Its sad how people take advantage of people in hard times. I explained to the "attorney" that I was out of work and a single mom of three.

I just received a call from this number on my voicemail. I screen my calls, luckily. The woman sounded like a young black woman named Ms. Davis, asked for me by name or for an attorney that is representing me. If they were not contacted a summons could be issued to my address or place of business. She also said that it was regarding a case number in my county court system. (okaloosa county). This sounded very strange to me and the first thing I did was go to my county clerk website and lookup the case number, which did not show up. Again, this sounded strange to me, so i typed the phone number into google, and this is what I found. As every person seems to be reporting the same situation, from the same phone number, and the same "law firm" I have asked a cop friend of mine what I should do. He told me do NOT call the number back, and file a complain with my Sheriffs office. This is what I will do. I hope you all do the same.

Yeah I just got the same call.  They called my parents and told them it wasw an investigator.  My mom called me and gave me the number I thought it was a hoax because I wwatch Dateline and I was in the mortgage business and delt with collection agencies and know how evil they can be.  The first person I talked to triued to tell me that if I refuesd to pay the debt that a summons would be sent to me by Monday, by a Sherrif, regarding a court date.  I started asking questions about where they were located she would not tell me.  She also stated to me that if I was recording the conversation that it would not be submicibal in court.  I asked what their website was, she said she was not sure it it was still up because she had not checked it in a few months.  She then forwarded me to a Mr. Tom Harris on the phone and he went on to explain that they did not have a website that I freaked the employee out(as if I was going to stalk her or drive to New York from Texas).  When I asked Tom about the address he started to stumble on his words trying to tell me the story of the addresses and the change.
