Hey - angrygrandma - these are spoofed calls. The caller ID  shows a real Chase number, but the 866 355 3744 number is a phishing attempt. Chase has nothing to do with it, except that they appear not to really care about protecting their reputation and going after these low life scum.

Little good it will do forwarding it to Chase. This has been going on for almost two years - and they haven't done squat. I guess they figure it's just a part of doing business, paying off the "scamees."

I believe it is a Chase number. My husband requested an access code and they texted it to me. Suddenly I began getting several calls from this number. My husband told me he accidentally selected the call option for the code, then went back to select the text option. So it should be a legitimate Chase number.

I had a lot of trouble trying to get into my Chase account last night.  It took three tries getting the 8 digit code before I could get into the account and pay the bill.  What is up with that pain the in behind system??

FYI for the previous attack on my character, I had THEM call ME via their website.  They had my phone number and a recorded phone system gives you an 8 digit number to enter into the Chase login ALONG WITH YOU USER NAME AND PASSWORD.  It is a security check.

Apparently some bad guys are spoofing with this phone number for criminal intent, BUT the real owners of this number are CHASE.

If you get a request while logging into your Chase account for a security number you can request them to call YOU at the number you entered into their system when registering.  And they call back within seconds when you press the request button on the login.

automated call. 3 times a day. All times if the day. I called the phone number they said to call if "you did not request a PIN number" and told them to stop calling me. A young girl connected me to another young girl who assured me the calls would stop. I received 3 calls the next day. I want to sue them so they can understand that they need to fix their system.

The person calling me introduced  himself as  David Williams a Chase representative. He said my loan modification was approved, but needed 796.00 for escrow fund.  Since after trying to use my debt card unsuccessfully. He gave me Albert Velarde, Jr. in Castro Valley, CA to send a money gram, since he was supposedly the attorney that was holding my loan modification paperwork up.Them trying to get this 796.00 from went on for two days, because it took me that long to raise the money.  Thank God I finally got my Chase loan modification agent, Charlotte Cantasy on the phone, and she informed me not to send the money.  Of course by then I was already at Chase bank changing my debt card, that fortunately had a 100.00 alert that I had forgotten I placed on it.  Please forward this information on to the proper department:  David Williams gave me this private contact # 830 612-4456 and he also referred to some other person name Jake, but I don't remember the last name.

Same here.  All I did was erase cookies everyday.  Every time I pay my bill online I have to go through this rigamarole twice.  I have two accounts, one business and one personal.  Same computer.  I suppose I should be happy for the effort they are taking to prevent a security breach.  It's still annoying.
