- Ted| 6 repliesMARVEL, has been calling my job, work and home saying I have a civil judgment pending in my local county. I don't believe it for a second!. I do own some payday loans but fell on some hard times and can't repay. I tried to call them but they were rude and would not work with me. Maybe if they sent me a letter instead of calling me all the time I may respond to that. But now I'm so upset from them calling and treating me! I will never pay.

- laura replies to jessicathis is a debt collection agency .... not a law firm .....
- harassedThey are trying to comit fraud! do not give them any money! they get your personal information from a pay day loan company (online) and then threaten you to make you think you actually owe them money! report them to the better business bureau and the attorney general's office in your state.

- Patsy| 1 replyI just received a call from the company from a Mark Seware he does still work there and he is so so nasty and said I owed money and I don't even know what he is talking about and said they had a warren for my arrest and every thing I called the better business bureau!!!
- Caller: Unknown
- collectors-r-criminals replies to PatsyThey are committing fraud and extortion. The BBB doesn't enforce laws, so file a complaint with the attorney general of your state.
- conrad replies to Trinnityfirst off, has anyone ACTUALLY been served as a direct result of this company? Second, I have been receiving calls too. For an online loan I took out a while ago. I made the payments bi-weekly as I was supposed to. But my balance never went down. I contacted the payday loan company at least 3 times asking them to take the full amount, they just kept on taking what they called "interest" paymments. I told my bank to stop any withdraws from them. I got a call from these yahoos saying a lousy $300.00 loan (for which I paid 5 payments of $90.00 to the loan company) now will cost me $1080.00 to pay off. In the state of Pennsylvania, they can only charge you 24% yearly interest.....where the hell did they come up with $1080.00...legal fees? Because you buy a loan for pennies on the dollar, that doesn't constitute a "legal action" to be paid for by the consumer. I did however ask the lady whom I spoke with if I could make a settlement, she came around with about $600.00. I asked if I could pay via money order, cashiers check or money gram. She said it MUST BE ON A CARD (credit or debit). Now I researched these folks & since I found nothing legit on them, I was willing to pay via money gram, but I'm not giving out my bank account info to some random people just because they say so. So since they don't accept my forms of payments, they are going to lose my interest in paying this loan (even though I already paid way more than I borrowed). How can you be assigned to collect money, yet you don't accept money, only plastic? Something fishy. By the way, before anyone tries to slam me, I don't have ANY debt what-so-ever. No credit card bills, utilities are always paid when they come in, no more student loans.....NOTHING! So I am the wrong person for someone to assume is a deadbeat. Any comment?
Thanx,

- AnonymMy son was contacted by this number and the JERK on the other end said that he was going to have him arrested tonight because he had falsified imformation on his loan of 2 years ago. The JERK informed my son that the
sheriffs department in our county was the one's who were going to come out and arrest him. Unbeknownest to the caller, I have a good friend that is in the high ranks of this department and I explained to him what was going on. He explained that you cannot be arrested for falsifying imformation. It has to go through an investigation, then through the county attorney and if the county attorney wants to prosecute, then you can be taken to court. Also I know that he didn't falsify any information because I was there when he filled it out (against my better judgement, but he is an adult) So whether they are an attorney or they work for a collection agency, there are steps to take before any collection. And also remember, unless they are a credit card company, they cannot harrass you either. Make sure to document any calls from them, be it on caller ID or if you talk to them. This is a mistake that my son will fix, but not at the THREAT of someone who lacks their own self-esteem and have nothing better to do than think that this world is full of debtors. I feel that we all get into situations, and that is part of life. LIVE WITH IT!!- Caller: PAY DAY LOANS
- dw replies to RED| 1 replyyes yes ....rick called me too..did he also use profanity with you?
- Lil replies to Ted| 5 repliesDear Ted
I'm curious do you think by not paying your debt you are in some way hurting the person who contacted you?
You're only hurting yourself, everyone falls on hard times not everyone goes online or to a pay day advance place and takes out a loan has it depositied into a bank and/or writes 2 post dated checks to repay the loan as you did.
Secondly you spent the money, now you refuse to repay it because someone called you and was not so polite to inform you there is a possibility your case will become a civil matter IE: Judgement. Where if you would have listened to the lady you might have been able to reduce your balance avoid court fees, collection fees ect. It amazes me when I come on these "Professional Debtor" blogs to read the comments of all the debtors who whine and cry about how they were treated in the collection of their debt...............hmmmmmmmmm if you would have paid it like your agreed to in the first place I would'nt be typing this would I? Grow up!!!!!!!!!!! if you were owed that money you would expect it back and you would'nt expect the party who owed it to you to whine and cry stomp their feet fold their arms and say "Ill never pay" - collectors r crooks replies to Lil| 2 repliesHmmm Lil if you didn't violate the collection laws right and left, you might have got your money and you wouldn't have to spew this crap on the "professional debtors site" (LOL!!!). Crooks don't collect, they pay.
The collectors worst enemy: the INFORMED CONSUMER. An uninformed consumer is nothing but your VICTIM.
Judging from the number of incompetent and crooked collectors who come on this site to spew, sometimes it seems more like a SCAM site for crooked collectors.
As for you, no need to grow up --- if you do, you'll have to get a new job! - Lil replies to collectors r crooks| 1 replyohhhhhhhhhhh my I guess you told me eh? LOL
- nite marea message was left on my machine. he or she was a cop! and i needed to contact them asap! when they call you, and you call back, they leave you an ext: like 110, 111, 117, 119, so when you call back and you give them the ext they left, they pull you up on their system. i do not know if they are a legitimate company. i do know for sure they are not law enforcement nor an attorney. they have broken the law themselves by leaving messages on answering machines. if they know the law, they should know that it is illegal.
- got u| 1 replyi called back the number left on my machine, which nite mare is correct it is illegal to leave messages of a private matter on a machine. but really what can you do? do not be scared, no warrents are issued, if you owe money you can be sued civil, not legal. it is a scare tactic. i do not owe any money, the message was left for my wife who always paid her bills on time. she has passed away, and to be honest i tried calling the company back and as soon as i went to explain, the lady on the phone (and i use that word loosely) did not shut her pie hole. i would've paid the debt if she would've let me speak. well i lost my wife, and they will collect from not from me. take my advice and if you get a call report it. do not pay someone who can not even transfer a call, they are that stupied there
