do not pay them anything. call the company you owe. they are not attorneys or legal company. it is just a collection agency. who represents themself and it is fraud. they want you to pay by debit so they can charge what they want.

i work at the court house, in the county i live. they did not issue a warrant, they are not lawyers, or any kind of law enforcement. they are just a collection agency. tell you dad to cancel his card, and report fraud. if he does not they will charge more. it is legal to report fraud, tell your dad he needs to cancel his card asap.

you got ripped off. if you paid by credit card call the credit card company report the card to be closed and the charge as fraud. since you paid it under false represention, that is legal to call and get your money back. closed the card they will continue to use your card.

How do you they are not a law firm. I been getting haressed by them myself and do not want to call them back.

I get a call at work and on my cell phone from this Anthony and he is a lawyer from Marvel & Assoicates. Say I will go to jail and lose everything I own if I don't pay $1600 in payday loans. I had a payday loan and paid it off. He give me a company name that I'm suppose to have the loan. I ask him for the phone number for me to call them myself and he could not give me that information because they hired them to collect. I never heard of this Marvel & Associates. He called me again today at work but was put to my voice mail. Should I call him back and tell him to leave me alone or just ignore the calls and maybe he will get the hint and not call me anymore?

Lucky me, they did credit me back the one payment and then wiped out the rest of my debt. However, this is after being threatened two times by some lady that this is a federal criminal case and they were going to prosecute me if I didn't pay! Scared the heck out of me. It is the same phone # everyone has. I really think a class action suit needs to be filed.I tried to get a lawyer for my situation but they said it wasn't worth my money in what they would get. So why have the fair debt collection act with the $1000 damages if no one will represent any of us for these "little" issues.
