This is NOT a law firm.  Call them out on it when they call you.  I bet you just about anything they will get mad and cuss you out.  It is illegal to threaten you with being arrested.  I had my REAL debtor on the phone when I spoke with Suzanne (knowing that is not her real name).  Suzanne wasn't aware of this.  When I called her out on her lie, she cursed at me and threatened to have me thrown in jail.  This was all over a bill I had already paid off!!!  My real debtor recorded the entire conversation.  I reported her and her company to the FTC.  If you are getting calls from them to you should also report them as well.  If we all stand together, we can all put a stop to these fraudulent people!!!!

These people Called my Cell phone with my Uncles First Name and our Correct last name and had all my Info saying they were Investigating my Friend but they had all my info but the wrong first name...but he was unable to tell him why my info was being investigated and that if i didnt Have my friend contact them within 24hrs i could be helf accountable for the investigation and would be charged along side of my friend

No you get a clue...THey are NOT a law firm.  If it was you WOULD NOT HEAR ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE BACKGROUND !!!!...I agree, pay your bills, BUT NOT ONE HAS the right to threaten you and call you names, etc...

Left message that they were looking for someone with my same last name. Have nothing to do with this person at all, just the same last name. Message said that they needed to talk to her. I called back to take my name off of their list and the lady claimed that I was rude for asking that question. I told her that I found it very rude that she is wasting my time looking for someone in which I have no connect. She hung up on me. I called back to see what the business did, not knowing who I was dealing with, the phone girl said, "Why would I tell you that." then hung up. I called back and got her answer jingle, "Marvel & Associates"

Debt Collectors/Investigators that do not research information disgust me!!

Scam for sure, violation of the fair debt act.

I am now receiving rude calls from them.  I finally called the original person that I owed and they said there was nothing they could do.  They are unable to take y payments?

i got a call from Marvel and Associates these guys are calling from India and its  a scam.

They use either phone number the one above toll free or 716-828-8986.  They called yesterday concerning employee ( ex-employee) who happens to be a struggling young female with loads of driving without a current liscense in her criminal background check. She is now serving 45 days in JAIL for these multiple same minor offenses. I have compassion for her and knowing the struggles of her family.  I recieved a call from National Loan Services threatening to file in county court Fraud by deception against the former employee, iif the balanced was not paid of 759.00 but if settled today she could do it for 347.85.  I explained to the lady the girls hardship and she is already in jail and very very poor and struggles to survive. The lady told me she had used payday advance and did not pay the loan back. Told me if I garenteed paying today she would drop  amount and close the debt out for 175.00  but if I would step in and settle for the girl today, she would be facing 3-5000 dollars in charges against her in the future.  She wanted me to do it by credit card over the phone, which I refused to do. Told her heck no, you could be a scam for all I know. I need you to fax me proof and then I can mail a check by Certified Letter.  Much later in the day the fax to my office came.  Thats when I did the Lookup for Fraud using the Agency name that came on the fax Jacobson and Assoc.  AK Debt management Partners LLC/ Natioal Loan Serice/signmyloan.net
Well so sorry if they read this. Not going to give you anything even to help this poor girl as I'm not convinced that it would really help her out in the long run at all.

They have even faxed a form to my employer for me to sign requesting salary information. Which is just a made up sheet any 3rd grader could do and totally not legal. Today they left a message stating that me or my "legal" represntation needed to contact them today because a case was filed in my county for fraud and again a bogus claim number. I had a frend call saying she was my legal representation and again would not give me any documentation of who the crediotr was. I have filed compliants with teh state of NY and these people need to be stopped.

You guys we should pull together to expose this unprofessional, sneaky, and possibly illegitimate company!  I was called today by this so called Law firm, and I said to myself " Self, Do Law Firms make debt collection calls?
    The first guy I talked to, I cut him short by assuring him that no matter what he said I would not make any arrangements to pay them anything until 2 things happened.
1. I started working again
2. I received something in writing proving that this was a valid transaction.
                 He automatically goes into this spill about " So you're not going to pay us is basically what you are saying"  So I hang up on him realizing what the **** I was saying was totally being disregarded.
    I call back and this black Lady answers the phone and she begins the conversation with " We can call you anytime we want and saying things like " Why are you so broke".....................And just blatantly disrespecting me saying I was nothing, this and that and the 3rd.
        Well my reply was this................I haven't sent you any of my money so I must not be too broke!!!!!!!!! [***] they kind of shot themselves in the feet! and now I am going to use every available connection at my disposal to expose these pathethic excuses for debt collection professionals.
                    If anybody care to expose these people...............feel free to contact me by email, hell we'll make a case and possibly bring a case against our debtors for subcontracting criminals.

They call me several times a day leaving rather lengthy messages for someone who does not live here, threatening to throw them in jail if they do not respond immediately.. I have asked them to stop, but they say they will stop only after the debt of someone who doesn't live here is paid...tell me how I'm a scum bag for bitching about this again?

The company you are likely fighting with is Marval & Associates in New York - they are a collection agency.   Marvel & Associates, LLC is a forensic accounting firm in Newport, Rhode Island.  Marvel & Associates, LLC regularly recieves calls from individuals mistaking the accounting firm who is in no way related to Marval & Associates.   We speak to everyone, giving them the correct phone number and address for Marval & Associates - the collection agency.     I have had a number of conversations with the owner of Marval who had promised he would change the name but he has taken no such action.

just had one called me this morning for cash loan usa....they said they was dept. managment but then was sold to marvel and stated he i was investigated for bad checks i never wrote a check i had told him he said but u have them automaticly draw it out ur acct....i told him account closed and he said hope u have a lawyer i told him i do now what...he said we can settle this i replied not right now then i got him to say "this is a dept trying to collect blah blah blah....i said so ur not an investigator ur a collection agency(marvel) then he hung up

I call to try make arrangements and they are so rude they do not let you get across to talk to anyone you try your best but this people are jerks that like to threaten even when your willing to pay. Harrasement [***] is what they are and I will record them every time we talk in case we go civil.

the just called today said he was mark kennedy from rosefield somethin, and kennedy associates. 3 months ago it was a different number different group of people sayin same thing  ill justy hav to wait it out again vbut it is ridiculous

Is there a statute of limitation for payday loan collections?

they  went back 3 years to something that was wrote off in a closing of an account now they  have my last 4 of my social and my work  how do keep them from contacting your business

I have had the same problem with these people, the number is 1-877-252-0491, however the name is different, the person calling us said they are Rosenthal, Levine, and Associates..  They didn't call us they called and left a message at my mother in laws, saying that we needed to call them asap or they were  going to start calling my husband at his work. So, he called them.. What a joke we do not owe any fast cash place money... What a joke!!!! DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING....
we said wanted them to send us proof and they said they would send us an email, however they sent us an email and it was addressed for someone else..lmao
