for one thing i dont owe them a dime. they keep calling me asking for my brother that i havent seen in a while and then they call my fiance's dad which dont have nothing to do with my family and he never even met my family. and calls him and leaves a rude messege on his answering machine explain that

help they are herassing me and wont leve me alone

dont listen to them they act like bill collecters and just take your money so dont give them anything

i do not wish to be contacted any longer by this company

I received a call from them at my work on voicemail. I was told to call Kenneth Mitchell at 1-877-255-2152 x117.  When I called I asked what kind of company this was.  The person Abdul who answered asked my name which I did not give.  When I didn't give my name he said something and hung up.  He said it was concerning a issue in the city/county.

Ok so I've had the same call's as everyone else saying that I am in debt to a company and that if I don't pay through them then they will press charges. First off, I only owe money to one lender Cashnet USA. I have called them and asked about this Marval & Associates who they do not work with. Marval & Associates is a scam, the lender confirmed this to me. do not give them money. find out who they clam to represent and contact that company to turn them in. They want to catch these [***] as much as you do.

These  people are calling saying they are with Marvel & Associates (Phil Avery) & we have several complaints filed on us,but they seem to have th wrong last name & wrong last 4 of or SS#. I'm not sure how they got my Home & Cell # since they have the wrong last name even though the name they mention shows up on our credit report as an alias, but is not our correct name. I did not call them back, because none of this made sense.

Has anyone called back this number 877-252-0491 and had them refer to themselves as Rosenthal, Levine & Associates?  I called this number back several times after they called me.  The first few times I was put on hold for over 5 minutes so I hung up.  Then yesterday, I called, was put on hold and then hung up on.  I called back and asked for extension 113 and was speaking to someone named Mr. Gould, who after speaking with me for less than a minute and realizing that I was not someone he could use scare tactics on asked to be transferred to my HR Department - I said ah, NO, this has nothing to do with them and then got so frazzled that he put his "supervisor" on the phone (don't recall his name) who went on to tell me that me, like many others, take out pay day loans and don't pay them back, that I am going to be taken to court for civil and criminal charges for defrauding a banking institution, yadda yadda yadda.  I will agree, I did take out a pay day loan - but I PAID it (like many others here).

I asked this "supervisor" that I would like proof of the alleged debt in writing - which he danced around and then later informed me that I was not entitled to that (so I guess we are all supposed to pay pills without having any information regarding the bill - nice - I don't think so).

I told him that I sent a letter to Marval and Associates (by certified mail and received a signed card back indicating that they received it) and he got upset and said that they are not Marval and Associates and that they took over the number from them and was upset that they keep getting confused for them.  HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD THIS FROM THIS COMPANY???

I said okay, if that is the case then why does Marval and Associates use this telephone number 877-252-0491 on their website?  No answer

I then asked if they are not Marval and Associates that he give me the correct name of the company and address so that I could send them a certified letter requesting that they validate the alleged debt in writing.  He hesitated but then gave me the below information:

I googled this address and the name of the firm and there is NOTHING for either.  I looked under the Secretary of State's website for both Ohio and Delaware (where most corporations are registered) and NOTHING.

When I asked again for them to send me written validation of the debt - they got angry and said that they were going to file a court action in my county.  He said that they had sent notices to my home address - which is not TRUE - I never got ANYTHING at my home address or anywhere else for that matter.  I told him that if he was not willing to send me a validation in writing that he should go ahead and file suit against me in my county because then we can let the court figure the situation out and that once they filed the complaint, I would file my answer and that I would be happy to accept service of a summons from them.  At least that way I may get them to actually stop harrassing me, my co-workers and my family.  I also requested that they no longer contact me by telephone and that if they want to settle this matter that we will do it through the courts.  That's when he got very upset and hung up on me.  

Also, I took out a pay day loan probably 6 or 7 years ago (that's how far back this BS goes) and paid it.  I had to close my bank account because I kept finding that other pay day loan companies which I didn't not apply to, were debiting my account (I had no idea who they were).  So I am not sure if these companies are selling/giving our information out to other companies or not, but am curious to see if there are any others out there that had this same issue.  

I intend to take this to the full extent of the legal system that I can.  I am hoping that they follow through and file something because then I can file my answer, attach many exhibits (like these threads), bank statements, etc. and hopefully get them to stop harassing me.

my wife recently recieved calls from these people and threatened to file through the court and serve papers on her. the only problem is that my wife does not live in that county or state.
my wife does not do any kind of financial matters either i take care of all the financials.

I keep receiving calls and messages from the number: 1-877-252-0491 asking for an individuals name that I do not know. I would like my number removed from their database.

I had a gut feeling something was not right, I put them on hold on my home phone and used my cell to call around to make sure they were legal. Luckly my brother verified who they were by checking the phone number they called from. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS, they try to scare you by telling you you've commit fraud and are being investigated to make you believe you are in the wrong and the only way to clear your name is to pay up what you owe. Then they try to make a deal with you that they will lower the fees to make payment easier on you because the lawyers want to close your case. They are very sneaky with their approach to try to make you pay up. They could of fooled me.. Thank God I didnt give them my info over the phone and I thank my brother for his quick thinking on checking that phone number.  THESE SCAMMERS NEED TO BE STOPPED!

I have just encountered this " Rosenthal Levine and Assoc. I got home from work ,there was a message on the answering machine stating that they represented " Cash Store" and " Bull County (using different name and county)and that this issue needed to be addressed immediately or they would come to my home or place of employment. I did how ever have a payday loan . It was several years ago and honestly I wanted to right my wrong. I payed them Nearly $1000.00. They also said that I would receive an email as well as a letter closing the case. I haven't received either.  I saved everything and intend on doing my part to see that people like this that feel they can screw anyone are stopped.

why is it that when this company acts like the police why don't the police take action against them? something needs to be done about them especially since they keep doing it and they won't stop.

I have to appreciate that this website exists ! I have been experiencing the blueprint of this plaguing company. After researching and coming upon this site , I feel it has eased and saved my mind from useless worrying. I am 26 now but at the time of hitting a roadblock in life , I admittedly began ignorantly submitting myself to online cash loans in an effort to pay my rent one month .
This was when I was 22 mind you.
ONE place out of apx 10 decided to loan me the money, in which case I would like to make CLEAR that I did PAY BACK ! With that said the balance that this so called MARVEL AND ASSOCIATES claim that I owe is absolutely benign. I called a bunch of online cash places to ease my mind and confirm that I am not mistaken in thinking I didn't owe money. EVERYONE of them told me I was never approved and I did not owe a cent !!  The CASHNETUSA collections dept was especially helpful with this situation when they told me that they are collecting complaints from ppl (aka VICTIMS) who are getting harassing phone calls from MARVEL AND ASSOCIATES. CASHNETUSA has advised me to not participate or encourage their phone calls. To simply ignore. They are preparing a lawsuit with BBB and the FTC to take these SCAMMING A**WHOLES down to where they belong. CASHNETUSA apologized that they cannot stop the harassing phone calls from MARVEL AND ASSOCIATES but did reassure me that I was not alone. MARVEL AND ASSOCIATES is completely illegal and they have no power .

I have been getting phone calls for months but have never answered because they were a number I didn't recognize. It wasn't until yesterday they finally left me a harassing and threatening message and also took it upon themselves to call my parents in MN. I live in LA. So of course my parents call and ask me in great concern why the LA court is wanting to execute a warrant against me for fraud . WHAT ??? I am so thankful to have found this website since I am now going into this educated and relieved to know these guys aren't legit. To those of you who are reading this in concern and are worried about your livelihood , don't ! Take these steps as I did. You will be fine and these do**** bags will get exactly what they deserve !

1) Get a tape recorder, RECORD ANY AND ALL CONTACT , ITS EVIDENCE
2) Educate yourself on the websites like the following :
   * BBB.com
   * FTC.com (Be sure to file a complaint, its helping to build our case)
   * Consumer Frauds Bureau
   * NAGG.ORG
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS !!

3) If you do and even if you don't OWE, call cash loan places and go straight to the original source for your answers. They may already have names of these SCAM artists and will reassure you that you don't deserve the harassment.

4) If you do speak with the "Collector"  Ask them to mail you the information regarding your so called debt. Chances are they are going to get pissed and hang up or threaten you, in which case I would hope they do since hopefully you followed my first suggestion and bought yourself a $20 recorder :)
REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM ! IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO HARASS OR THREATEN YOU!

call was placed at several realatives houses and giving out personal financial records by using the last 4 digits of a social security number to "prove" who i was who i said i was..i never gave her anything SHE was the one that GAVE the last 4 digits. ANYONE could have said yes and gotten this information that supposedly exists..these people are IDENTIFICATION theives.

I just received a call from these people. My husband immediately became suspicious. He calle dme at 8:59 p.m. You can't call past 9:00 in PA. His message stated it was about a complaint out of the neighboring county in which I used to live. But the business this is associated with was not that county.I calle dhim back immediately and he told me he was just closing but he talked to me. My husband called back 1/2 hour later and the guy answered immediately without my husband needing to punch in the extension. He asked him several times for our bank account info. He said he couldn't take a check and needed my debit info. My husband refused and said that I had left the house and had it with me and he asked him to call me to get it. He was desperate to get it.So we tested them and called back at 10:30 and I got a generic voicemail that said I reached the "finalization office" but didn't say the finalization office of what. My husband thought I was being scammed so he googled their phone number and we found so many complaints. I called back and left a message that this was all too fishy, especially since the statute of limitation on this account was 4 years and it is now 5 years after delinquency on this account. I told them to go ahead with the "preceedings". They claim it was from 2006 which was also wrong. If I owe it, I guess I owe it but I would rather check my credit report to be sure.

They have been calling me. I found out they are under the names, Marval and associates, Jacobson and associates and also Rosenthal, Levine and Associates. When I called, I got a generic voicemail that said it was the "finalization office" but failed to say with whome. In the original message the guy said it was about a complaint stemming out of the neighboring county but he didn't identify himself then either. They claimed I owed 1200 + dollars for a payday loan from back in 2006. I was at home with my newborn in 2006 so I couldn't have used them then. He was willing to come down to around 600 but couldn't take a check. He wanted my bank account info or credit card info. He said I didn't have to make my first payment for two weeks but he needed all that info right now or they would preceed to file papers and that I would be served. He wouldn't come right out and say that I would be sued but eluded to it. He acted like I was putting him in a really hard position (why? he doesn't have to pay). He said he was closing and the call ended. My husband called back 1/2 hour later and he answered. My husband didn't even have to use the extension he gave me.  The guy said he had to buzz back in and decode the alram to answer the phone like he was doing my husband a real favor. My husband brought up the fact that he must have done it very quickly because he answered after one ring. Then we googled the number and found all these complaints and different name that use this phone number. I called back and told them to go ahead and preceed with whatever but that I wasn't giving them any more info. Also this was the first I had heard anything from these people.

Called to collect a debt also calls people in your family weird

Im so glad to see that im not alone in this matter. I've recently been contacted by Rosenthal, Levine and associates on a past due pay day loan in which i've had paid off 4 years ago to the date. They started off by threatening me that im going to jail for theft, fraud and etc., if didn't act today. Knowing that i had payed this past account back in 2007, i told them to go to he$$. So they in turn told me we are contacting the law and they will be serving me and taking me to jail until my court apperance from this so called "debt". So like a complete idiot i am, i don't like jail, never been there, never want too, i paid it. After i gotten off the phone i called the bank and paid for them to research this matter when i paid it back in 2007. I now have that document along with the debt collector who i first paid this outstanding account to, their statement along with contacting the orignal creditor who this was originated from, showing that it was paid and i owe nothing along with who they gave my account to which was NOT to this Rosenthal, Levine and Associates. They have this generic account number that this pay day loan groups all us "non-payers" into, but also assigns an individual number to each personal account. The pay day told me this themselves and proof on their paperwork they sent. Trying to tell this so called debt collecting agency this, they don't want to hear this and get real angry and defensive. I was hung up on so many times by these so called professionals, because they don't like to hear the truth because it hurts their pay by FRAUD! I really hope that the people who work at this place live a horrible unsettling life and do america a favor and jump off a bridge for this filth they pull on people. We the people need our government to protect us from these criminals. They wonder why america has gone to sh!+, its because they allow money suking scumbags like this, do as they please, but the real working person can barely keep afloat. Its time we all stick together and take these scum sucking bast@<ds out of the picture!!!!!
To clear it up, i did own up to my mistake and paid with interest the money back. I was young and dumb at the time which all started in 2003!!!!
