If you have no clue what you are talking about just shut the [***] up. You are probably the scam artist yourself.

The number is legit, anyone who says its not is a scam artist themselvs.

Received a call from this number. I do not answer calls I cannot recognize. I checked this site and decided to take advice to call the number on the back of my chase card.
It is not a scam. My debit card was cancelled due to charges i the Netherlands that just happen to empty all my money.
Do yourself a favor-call or answer. It's the Chase fraud department

This number is legitimate. You can find it on the Chase website. "Call Telephone Banking at 877-302-4273 (877-30-CHASE) to link your accounts." Based on some posts, the number may have been spoofed. If in doubt, get an extension number and tell them you'll call back.

I agree with spoiler.  We just called the number on the back of our Chase card and he verified that number was not associated with Chase.  Looks like we have some crooks posting on this site trying to add validity to a scam.

It's Chase. They called. Asked for info on my debit card after they verified info with me. I said I'd call Chase directly, they had no problem with it. No attitude. I called Chase back and there was indeed two charges for over $500 on my business debit card. It's legit #, but still good practice to call your bank directly rather than believing someone over the phone.

Remember: Even if the number *is* from Chase, caller ID is so easy to fake you can't tell if that's the number that is really calling!
NEVER give these people any information whatsoever. Hang up and call the number on the back of your credit card. If the call was legit (unlikely) all you'll have lost is a few seconds of your time.

    Distrusting
Not knowing whether this was a legitimate number, I called the number on the back of my card.  I told them I had a call from this number and after checking it out they informed me that this is one of the numbers from the Fraud Dept.  They checked and found that there was an alert placed on my debit card.  I was transferred to the Fraud Dept and was asked about several transactions on my debit card which turned out not to be mine.  They had blocked approval of these transactions because there were too many and in higher amounts than I usually charge and these were all the way on the west coast and I live on the east coast.  After confirming these weren't my charges my card was cancelled and a new one was ordered for me.

You don't have to take my word that this IS A LEGITIMATE CALL FROM CHASE FRAUD DEPT., but if you get a call from them, just call the number on the back of your debit/credit card and let them know you got a call from this number but would like for them to verify if there is any problem with (or any alerts placed on) any of your accounts.  If there is a problem, they will likely transfer you to the Fraud Dept.

I just got a call from this number, looking for a Patricia S.  on my cell.  I used to get calls years ago from people looking for this person.  They did not say who they were, but I gave them hell and told them to not call me again.

call came from 877-302-4273, but, talked with customer service, they did not call and would not leave a vm message of "hello...hello ....hello..." they would identify themselves a Chase, state reason for call and give details to demonstrate not a phony inquiry.

I got a junk mail letter offering me a "FREE ANDROID TABLET COMPUTER!" From some scam shop out of Las Vegas called "DUDLEY MEDIA GROUP LLC".
The letter said to call 800 302 8914 to "CLAIM MY FREE TABLET!"...
No thanks, didn't just fall off the stupid truck...
I hope they go broke paying postage and getting no replies/calls.

    Total Fraud.
got a message with (what I assume is a recording of a) woman's voice saying that it was part of their "location and tracing efforts for [long pause, followed by a a computer voice saying my first, middle, and last name]." It then said that I needed to call them immediately to verify my location and that if I didn't, THE LAW (her voice added the emphasis) allowed them to contact ALL references on my paperwork. She went on to say that even if I had no information, I needed to call them immediately. That was the dead giveaway that this is fake... That and the fact that they didn't identify who they are in any way.
