- KamalI have received call from 705-999-8190 and pre-recorded message says it is not telemarketing .., they have tried to contact me multiple times, do not ignore this call, call 1-877-337-3836
- removed twicecalled the number and had myself removed again. did this 2 years ago, they did removed me, and it just started up again. hopefully this will be the last time. i confirmed they were calling for someone else, not me.

- Easy as PieIt's so easy to stop getting harassed by these guys... If you own an iPhone, spend $10 on iBlacklist.
I have my phone setup to automatically hang up on them when they call. It also automatically hangs up on blocked numbers. It's great because the phone doesn't even ring and they can't leave a voicemail. The most fun part of the whole situation is checking the iBlacklist log and looking at the 40 calls they've sent you over the past week and laughing. They've wasted HOURS calling me over the last few years and they haven't wasted a second of my life.- Call type: Debt collector
- IrritatedThese people have been calling my house for months. I do not have ANY outstanding credit with ANYBODY! Guaranteed. They leave a message "we have made several attempts to contact you, we can be reached at 877-337-3838." But they don't say who WE are. When you call the number provided, you get a recording, left on hold for several minutes, then finally a recording that tell you you can't leave a voice mail as the in box is FULL. Yes, likely from folks like myself leaving nasty grams. I don't know who they are or what they are trying to pull? But whatever it is.....it is not nice.

- Angry GuyIt's obvious what these collection agencies are doing. In the last few weeks, I've had several collection agencies call me, all looking for different people. Because I have a very common surname, Smith, they call me non-stop. I had my doubts before, but now it's obvious they call every Smith in the phone book if someone with that name owes them anything.
How the hell is this even legal? This is bordering on harassment. Only reason I picked up the line is because I saw the 705 area code, and since I am moving from London to Sudbury soon, I thought it was a legit call.- Caller: Global

- jentOmg lol
these people are so rude when you ask to call them back, or ask them to provide you with more info they hang up or say no! not sure but in NB! is there nothing we can do to stop there calling?- Caller: http://www.globalcollection.net
- MerrikateMe too -- baseless calls that name no one, not who they're looking for nor who the caller company is, just the blanket recorded message that others have quoted above. The voice reminds me of my third grade teacher back in the day -- giving orders.

- FabiolaI got a call today from them.. and it asked me to wait because there were no operators available when I got someone, they asked how they may help me and when i told them that they had called the lady said F*** and hung up.. I don't know why they call if they are going to hang up anyways..
- CKI think everyone who gets a call from this number should contact the Better Business Bureau and complain about this Global Credit company. They do not identify themselves when you ask where they are calling from. My response from them was, "from Markham". When I asked "No, I mean what company they said they couldn't say. What kind of business operates like that? The call wasn't even for me. They are rude and non compliant and should be reported.

- TheSnitch replies to Tamara| 5 repliesThis is the most rediculous reaction I have seen yet. The DNC list does NOT protect you against collection agencies. Go ahead. Sue them. You have no case. They have your number because you owe someone money. You can pretend you don't but they wouldn't have your information otherwise.
If you truly do NOT have any outstanding debts, you have to address this with the collection agency or they will just hit your credit rating (which you might not care about since you are using a pay-as-you-go phone anyways)
Also, your weak claim that they have "drained" $1000 from your phone by leaving messages is going to be hard for you to prove. You need a new pay-as-you-go plan if you pay for incoming calls or checking messages.
Take their call, and prove them wrong or ignore it and willingly accept the "harassment" and subsequent damage to your credit rating. Your lawyer would tell you the same thing. You cannot sue for this. - lolnever had this problem till i went to rogers cable for home phone.

- RacosCalled me tonight at 7:20pm. I have no outstanding debts. They left a message that didn't identify who they were looking for or who they are, but wanted me to call them back. Fat chance.
- mitsy clitsy replies to JOHN DEERSo "John Deer" - why are YOU here then? Probably the same reason we're all here....
- TimberWolf replies to Educatedthank for that info. global told me i had a unresolved matter and then my phone died. i haven't owed anything because i had to do bankrupcty years and years ago. so they can go ---k themself and stop the calls. just 5min after that i got a call from another number. give me a break. i owe nothing@!!
- TheSnitch replies to rebecca| 1 replyIt is not harassment when you OWE MONEY to an organization. They have the right to call you and call you until you pay. Go ahead and ignore them. They will just ding your credit so that you can pretend to "be right".
In order for it to be harassment the calls have to be done with pure intent to disrupt or offend. That is not their intent. They intend to clear up past due accounts. I don't see the issue here.
But instead of trying to defend this point, you just call me names and presume I should get a life? Please enlighten me how you failing to pay your bill (or justify that you don't owe the money - which is unlikely) makes you the victim of harassment?
Good luck suing them. You are just the kind of person that gives lawyers a good laugh in their otherwise conflict littered lives. - Figaro replies to Hutchy| 1 replyWell, I just got a new phone number about 3 weeks ago and I keep getting calls!!!! and BTW, if a bill isn't paid, it shows up on your credit bureau...so statue of limitation or not...if it is on your Credit Bureau and you want to borrow....good luck! It will have to be cleared before you can borrow again!
