canada has the highest mobile market charges in the world, led by the price-fixing of rogers telecommunications, supported in part by their engagement of scum like global international 'debt collections' harassing people through calls discussed on this site.

Personally, I just send the asshats to voicemail, as I am usually at work when they call.

They have called me 43 times in the 2 months I've had my phone😡!!!
They do not collect for rogers because I have never been with them and never will.
And they kept on calling me so I blocked them, it's that easy!!! All you do is:
1.Click on the Info button on the right of the number.
2. Scroll all the way down to the bottom.
3. Click on block this caller.
4. Block contact will pop up in red.
5. Click it!!!

This number keeps calling me for somebody named Michelle. They're making an error by calling me, a teen that does absolutely nothing with their life. :/

You're partially right.
With the limitation is that you have 2 years from when you became aware of the issue to begin legal action in the courts. HOWEVER if the person or whatever has proof of contact then the 2 year limitation resets.
Any entry to your credit record will remain there for 7 years. Again if contact can be proven that 7 year limitation resets as well.

Just so you know what Global Credit is like.  Here is an article by cbc on how they called and harrassed canadians who did not owe anything.  how the harrassed, used threats and got people to pay who didnt owe anything.  and why they got fined by the government.

Its american company, they come up to canada and they dont care, they have a phone list given to employees, employees said they called people even if they owed nothing, and pressured them to pay to keep their job and get their commissions.  Company didnt care as long as they were collecting money, even from people who did not owed anything.

I honestly think they are scammers , they said i owed 3000 to telus , when i have never owed that much money  , I read they actually take old accounts buy them out and then seek out more then what they paid for the account

There are hundreds if not thousands of phone brands/models as well as service providers.

Someone from this number called me this morning and did not leave a message.  Just so everybody is aware, debts older than 2 years in Ontario are statute barred which means the creditor cannot successfully sue for these debts.  Anything older than 6 years is purged off credit reports.  Any of these old debts or debts that are close to 6 years old are not worth paying.  Ignored and blocked.

This is a tip for anyone that is getting harassed by assorted scum including collection agencies, debt buyers, telemarketing companies, survey companies etc.

If possible, block them.  There are applications for Android and Iphones that block phone numbers.  I am not sure about landlines.  It is best practice to not engage them.  They may spoof numbers to get around blocks.  Don't answer it.  When they use spoof numbers, they will probably not leave a message because they don't want to admit they spoof numbers.  Eventually, collection agencies and debt buyers  will go away.  Their objective is to get as much money as they can with the least amount of effort.

There is only one collection agency I heard of that is persistent and that is IQOR.  They called a friend of mine for a year.  She never answered.  It was many years ago so I don't know if they behave that way now.

I have been called by computer who put me on hold and then a person came on the line to tell me they had an old payday loan that had not been paid, but i have never neglected to pay a payday loan, so it has to be a scam. They couldn't give me definite dates and in fact, after i thought about it, all the info they had could have been easily gotten from public records, with a little searching. I thought maybe it was a way to get my credit card info or my full ss#. I am blocking their number and would like them to stop calling me.
