We just activated a cell phone for my son and this number started calling. Stating he owed $1000.00 on a bill. This is bogus how can a ten yr old have a bill like that. I called and had the number changed.

Please remember that your new number is someone's old number. It seems they got rid of it for a reason. Big problem now, phone numbers turn over daily. The chances of getting a number that belonged to a debtor, or drug dealer are quite good. Phone companies don't let phone numbers sit for long.

Harassing phone calls. Asking for a misspelled name and wanted personal information without telling me who they are.

Relax people, it is "Global Credit", its a third party recovery service for Rogers, Fido, Bell, etc.  Your phone number has been enlisted somehow, and you or the previous owner of the phone number there calling obviously owes money.   Just like any other business or debt, they will track you down if you own, or at least attempt to contact the rightful owner of the bill there calling about.  I have called this number back numerous times to advise them of the error in contact information, because I have perfect credit.  When they answer the phone, they answer  "Global Credit" .......... if you have nothing to hide, tell them your name, and advise them to add you to the DNC list, and insist they have the wrong number.   There only doing there job, and its to recover other companies losses. ITS A JOB, ITS A BUSINESS, ITS LEGIT!

Actually he's probably just in the same boat I am, and not saying that to the rest of you... Some guy keeps giving people my phone number and not paying his bills, so every month I get a new debt collector calling me twice a day asking for him. So in that case I say yes, Trevor, Barb, and Nick Wilson, PAY YOUR [***] BILLS.

If you have an android phone, add this number (and any other number) into a contact, then set that contact to go directly to voicemail when it calls. Your phone will never ring. :)

actually statue of limitations only means they cant sue you for the debt dosen't mean that you no longer owe it...a debt is a debt you will always owe it unless you file bankruptcy or do a proposal

Received a call from this number today and returned it.  They were looking for another person and they removed me from their list once I told them it wasn't me.

This number will freeze your iPhone if you try to hang up.

I sometimes try to start random conversations with the people who call me. Like "Hey man... how's the weather at the scam office?"... they usually hang up. Ah well. Just trying to turn a negative experience into a positive experience.

Just lie and say this is cell phone, a law passed calimg to advertise on cells is illegal that'll make them stop :)

I received about 6 phone calls from this number about each week now. They called me and put me on hold.. Then some guy answered and mubbled then i hung up. soif they call back again ill tell em straight up the f off

Not only that which 17 year old do you know that owe money to a credit card or whatever. First of all you need to be 18 to even receive a credit card. so please call me again? From my cellphone.

You can have debt from things other than a credit card. For instance a cell phone bill.
