There are laws that govern collection procedures and practices. These vary depending on jurisdiction, but there are restrictions on what you can legally do to recover the money owing. Ignore them, and you can expect a lawsuit or criminal charges.

Called today at 3pm once again. I have no debt. Didn't answer, same message as always - "This is not a solicitation or telemarketing call, etc".

I called them back and they were looking for a Michael Richter/Richman and/or Mary Johnson. Since there was no one here by that name I told them to remove my number from their callback list.

If there's a "Todd Holland" in the house, someone from a "collection agency" (yeah right) is looking for you.

Got a call today, didn't pick up but it left an automated voicemail. They're looking for a company that has an Ontario business registration number.

This is garbage I just got this phone - must've been the last guy who had this number.  Bad form!

They do not have my number because I own money.

I have excellent credit and have never missed any payments on anything ever. The person they are trying to reach at my home phone number does not live at this address anymore, and my phone number never belonged to the person they are looking for. They clearly just looked up the address and are calling any number associated with it. Also, my phone number is clearly listed under my name, not the party they are looking for. I also advised the last representative that I spoke with that the party they are looking for does not live here, and to stop calling my house. I still get calls. I have also emailed Global's ombudsman's office as when you call their toll free number it advises their mailbox is full.

I'm sure this isn't the first instance of this happening.

This number calls and stats "Our records indicate that we have try to reach you several times" "... Please call ... imediately". Only problem is they do not identify thems selves or who they are calling or even why.

Likely a scam to collect personal information that can be used for fraudlent purposes.

These idiots again. This time they must have let the hamster off the wheel because they didn't leave a voice mail asking for "Todd Holland".

OK, looks like the number got sold off to somebody. This time (I'm the same Al as 18 Oct) the number came with a voicemessage claiming to be Bell Canada calling about my account and to hold for an operator. Of course I do not have a Bell account.

The bogus Bell recorded message again. If they're so hell-bent on contacting me, they can send me a letter or send a process server with a summons. They won't, of course, because it's just a scam to phish personal information.

this number calls my cell every 3 days and it's an automated voice msg that goes straight to voice mail. it says "To contact you without a response. Please contact us right away. Our toll free number is 8773373836"

These guys must be fishing for info or are looking for another person with the same name because my credit is excellent and I have no outstanding debts. They are totally unprofessional as they leave no company name and when I tried to call them back I was directed to a box that was not set up to receive messages. It is terrible that we have to waste our time trying to find out who it is calling when a simple professional telephone message would have sufficed. I won't be wasting any more of my time.

They've left automated messages in my VM asking for a registered Ontario business.

Left a recorded voicemail saying they've been trying to reach me on an important matter, but of course never identified who they are or who they are calling. Bogus. Earlier notes suggest this is some collection agency. Well, as I'm not in arrears with anyone if they thing they have anything to collect on me, they can either send me a registered letter or a bailiff. Until then, it's a scam as far as I'm concerned. If you get this call and you think you might actually have a collection/credit issue, contact your bank. Don't take chances.

I just called them back.  They were looking for someone else and said they have removed my number from their list.

peopler not low lives just because they couldn't pat a bill i know cause  make likely more then most in amonth then people make in a year buthave some mistakes i made that haunt me lol
