Collecting on a payday loan as a Autobond Financial Bureau using scare tactics threatening lawsuits, (which are not possible for these types of loans- at least in most states) and refuses to send anything in writing probably because they know they would be guilty of mail fraud if they claim in writing what they are saying on the phone.

I was contacted by a Joe Depace who was telling me about my rights and resposibilities for a debt I owed.I hung up because I thought it was just some collection agency, but Joe was right and my wages ended up being garnished and I was dragged into court (sigh). In hindsight I wish I wouldve just listened to Joe because the 400 bucks I owd ended up costing me a few thousand in court fees, interest, surcharges, etc. What a freakin headache! I wish I wouldve just payed the damn money and got it over wit. Turns out this Joe guy was right-who thought some jerk collector or whatever he was was actually right? Ill nvr take a payday loan out again though-GUARANTEED

This is like the fifth number these people have given me to call them back about a payday loan for 800.00 that they say is now 1300.00 they keep calling and every time i ask for validation they say they dont have to give it taht every thing was done online. they've threatened me with check fraud among many other crimes. this has been going on now for about 2 months. this time an April said that i needed to call and clear this matter up before it is forwarded to my county as public record. I really believe this is a scam. i called teh FTC and they dont know who these people are. ive looked up these people on the internet and nothing. and they wont give you an address to send money you have to give your bank acct info for them to take the money from your bank.

This is coming from another scam company goes by many different names including Marval and Associates. They just take money..they dont have any ties to any original debts or loans you may have taken. Dont listen to the couple above - probably work for the company. Read up on Debt Collection Act and what they can and can not do. You have a right to demand proof of the debt in writing. When they call tape the calls and let them know you are doing so. I have followed up and spoke with several people who have in turn sued Marval and companies like this and one due to their unfair harrassment and collection attempt procedures.

I also heard from this collection bureau stating i owe for 2 accounts, also threatened with checkfraud. Is this legal? What states allow for lawsuits, anyone know?

Just got a call from them too. This is not cool. I called the bank that supposedly I deposited the money too and they have no record of me in the system. They also said that for Autobahn to get photos of me cashing the check( supposedly they have these images) they would need a subpoena to do so, which the bank clerk told me would be near to impossible. I would say this company is like a Nigerian scam company.

I am calling my attorney generals office to see what to do next.

your wages cannot be legally garnished without a court order, but it doesn't mean that the lender won't illegally try to send over garnishment documents to your payroll/human resources dept, most of the time they don't know the law. and 99% of time, only storefronts take legal action. if it's an online lender, legal action is not taken. this is from someone who works for a payday loan settlement company.

I found their employment ad running this morning and it is the suite number for Marval & Associates who lost a major discrimination case in May 2011 I'm thinking they are running from that and changing their name. Like that will help. below is the ad......................

PLEASE CONTACT THE COMPANY THAT ORIGINALLY GAVE THE LOAN ASAP. ASK THEM WHO THEY OUTSOURCED THE DEBT TO, I JUST CALLED "CASH CALL" WHOM I ORIGINALLY RECIEVED THE LOAN FROM AND THEY GAVE ME AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMPANY AND NUMBER. I THEN ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE AUTOBAHN COLLECTION AGENCY AND GOT THE VOICEMAIL EVERY TIME THERE ISNT EVEN A WAY TO PUT IN MR. DEPACE'S EXT. NUMBER WHICH IS 127 JUST IN CASE HE GIVES A DIFFERENT #

I got that same call from Mr. Depase saiding that my paperwork came from cash call where I orginal got my loan to them and that this was the last time I will have before it was turn over to the court to pay.  I fell for the rope and dope and gave them my bank information out of fear.  I am glad I found this site I will close my account first thing in the morning.

I keep receiving phone calls from this company saying that I owe them money this lady really has an attitude she's pissing me off saying that I have a fraud alert I am the one that put a fraud alert on my credit so that is not a suprise.

I GET CALLS ALL THE TIME USING SCARE TATICS AND JOE DEPACE CLAIMS HE IS A FRAUD INVESTIGATER, HE WAS SUPPOSE TO E-MAIL ME SOMETHING NEVER GOT IT, APIRL SAMETHING. I got a call from a miss davine that said if I don't pay I'm going to the federal penitentiary for fraud.I was scared so I paid when I called back I spoke to miss stevens and was swore at and hung up on. I dont know what to do

This company keeps calling my work number with harrasing calls and threats after i have asked them to stop

We just got the same call from this Joe, and of course requested something in writing, which was never sent in mail or email.  We did pay this Marvel and Ass months ago.  He claims he is not associated with them, however, he says he is with this autobahn agency.  Well, hmmm when I mentioned the credit card payments that were paid to Marvel, he had record of it... Yes I am going to be arrested this week.  For a debt paid......... WHAT A SCAM..........
