- Your not legit, so quit replies to Really, wowWhat a joke. You obviously work for them. They can't do what you said. EVER!
OR you have a lien against you from some other entity that sued you in court and got a judgment against you. - Really? replies to you debtors are the scamHere's your spelling lesson of the day: Thieves not theifs as you put it!! Not only are you a low life collector but you are also the village idiot.
And FYI - an email or fax is NOT the same as a registered letter through the US Postal Service. Get a clue! You are just trying to dodge a mail fraud charge. - Mary JTotal scam!!! I recieved a call from 866-460-1956. A man named "Chris" claiming to be from Audubon Finanical Bureau. He called me in regards to a debt but never read a mini miranda therefore he was in violation of the FDCPA. And when I questioned him about it he didnt even know what that was. I asked him to send me something in writing he said he could only send an email which is another violation. He started to yell and curse when I told him only send me mail notification and then hung up. Please do not fall for this scam. Their are numerous complaints about this company.

- FEDUP| 1 replyGot a call several times in the last week from Audobon Financial Bureau threatening me with court filings, being arrested and having me fired from my job because of a supposed unpaid internet PAYDAY loan. Funny thing is that they cannot provide original documentation of the debt to which I have asked for per the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS PRACTICES ACT. I have asked them not to call my work and they state I am being evasive and they need a letter from my employer to stop that - that is another FDCPA breaking. And lastly they have received a CEASE COMMUNICATION letter from me and I have the Cert Mail Return Receipt where someone signed for it and yet they say they have no record of that letter. [***]! They received it - probably trashed it so they could say they didn't get it and yet I have a signed document sent back to me from the USPS! GO AWAY SCAMMERS! Nobody wants to deal with you and you have dealt with the WRONG person! I have reported you to the rightful authorities!

- yef replies to billyYour tactics may work on those that do not know their rights under the FDCPA. For those that do, your tactics will land you in court as a defendant.

"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing—
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;

Bills.com FDCPA FAQ
Below are questions Bills.com readers ask frequently:
Can a Collection Agent Call My Cell Phone?
Yes. However, if you tell the debt collector it may not use that number because it is a cell phone, it may not contact you again at that number.
I Keep Receiving Dozens of Calls From Collection Agents. Is That Legal?
No. Unscrupulous collection agents will use "block parties" or "office parties" where they contact a consumer, multiple neighbors, or co-workers telling them they need to reach the consumer on an urgent matter. This is not permitted under the FDCPA.
A Collector Says I Will Be Arrested if I Do Not Pay
This was a true statement before the US Civil War, but has not been true since. People may be arrested if an aggressive judge files a bench warrant for a person who does not appear at a hearing relating to a lawsuit regarding a debt. However, in that case, the offense is the failure to respond to a court order, and not the existence of the debt. As stated above, it is illegal under the FDCPA to threaten a consumer with arrest if the consumer does not pay the debt. - Unknown call replies to Jami MartinI was glad I decided to look this company up because they have been calling me for a long time but I could not hear the name of the company clearly, They have been threaten me since this summer but I have not seen anything yet.
